i was using the NETGEAR PowerLINE Wi-Fi 1000 to solve my low WiFi reception on the second floor of my townhouse, it did the trick but when i used multiple devices at once my internet speed would drop. Thankfully NETGEAR has done it again. The answer was the new Orbi Whole Home AC2200Tri-band system. Its a two device system just like my old system. Included is the Base, Satellite, power supply and 1 Ethernet cable. Setup was fairly easy. 1. connect the base to power and your router. 2. plug your satellite where you have low wifi reception.(in my case it was upstairs) 3. power up the base and tap the sync button on both the base and satellite. 4. on your device settings go to WiFi and select Orbi## and enter preset password located around your base. 5. finally click on your browser, you will automatically be redirected to Netgear Setup.( i believe it was 4 easy steps) that's it. I've been using Orbi for about a week now and i got to say, i am very impressed. i attached a screenshot of my speed using 5 devices at the same time(wow!!!, 108.2 Mbps on WiFi with 5 devices, two on Netflix) The Orbi system is a little on the expensive side but in my opinion its worth every penny. The only thing i would change is just a cosmetic issue. Its too oblong lol, maybe a cylindrical design would be better. One more thing i forgot to mention is that they have other Orbi units for bigger homes. so don't worry, they literally have you covered. Thank you Netgear for the Free Orbi AC2200(RBK30). this is a great way to test your product for your consumers.

Before Orbi, I used my Verizon FIOS quantum router. While the quantum router is nice, it would often lose connection or have slow speeds on my third floor. This new router fixed that. It has nice aesthetics, easy setup, a couple of powerful features, and overall just worked. Setup Setup was straight forward. I turned off Wi-Fi on my FiOS modem, downloaded the Orbi app, plugged in Orbi, and then the satellite. I decided to use the same SSID for everything I have connected. My devices connected to Orbi without issue. A firmware update lost that connection for a few minutes, but after Orbi was up, pressing the sync buttons fixed the satellite connection. I did not see many special features, but I did see some higher end router features. VPN access is available, Mu-mimo, etc. Performance I’ve used similarly priced routers from Linksys and Netgear and I would say Orbi is my favorite for one reason, range. I am now able to get a great connection throughout my entire house and can get similar connection speeds on ethernet and Wi-Fi (50up-50down). Being familiar with repeaters in the past, they are normally bottlenecks to the network. I really like how Orbi has a dedicated 5 ghz band for communication so it has little effect on the other 2.4 and 5 ghz networks. Overall I would recommend the Orbi system. It exceeded my expectations with range and speed. The price is worth it when you compare it to other routers in this category, e.g., many users and streaming. I received Orbi for free from Netgear for an honest review.

i'm so happy with this product. the set up was very easy, i was able to set up completely thru their user friendly netgear orbi app but also had the option to log in to my router via computer to edit the advanced settings. the orbi app shows all the devices connected to my network and if my satellites and router is online. i live in a 3 story 1751 sq ft house and decided to place the router on the 2nd floor, and my satellite on the 1st floor which gives me coverage when i'm in the garage, and front and back yard. the satellite on the 1st floor also connects very well to my Ring doorbell without any disconnections or lag. it's awesome! i get a consistent speed throughout my house and even on the 3rd floor my router is powerful enough to give me the same download and upload speeds of approximately 116 DL and 12 UL. with all my smart devices including Arlo cameras, PS4, smart TVs, iphones, philips hue lights, multiple computers and laptops, i have around 12 devices connected at a time with no issues whatsoever! it's astounding. i also love the new design that is very sleek and modern which goes well with the white/grey of my contemporary style house. i received this product for free for my unbiased review and i am so happy that it's functions just perfectly for a 3 story home. i believe this type of mesh wifi network is the future for all routers! would highly recommend to friends and family.

So far so good! This is the best router I have had to date and the Wi-Fi extender supplies my whole house with Wi-Fi. Easy it to set up. Fast and secure

I had a bunch of problems with previous routers and trying to decide how to manage 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz devices. I found that for my 2 story 2,500 sq ft house (router in basement below first floor), this worked great. I have the base unit in the basement and the satellite plugged in on the second floor. I looked at other vendor solutions but they seemed more expensive or more complex to manage. Very happy overall.

Internet worked great, was fast, and really easy to setup. My only issues is the back bedrooms and office got a very weak I internet signal. My house is 3,400 sq. Feet so I may go with the 3 unit Orbi system as it was much faster than google wifi and amplified HD.

was looking at a range extender and started talking to another customer he stated he hd done research on this unit. in talking to a co-worker he stated he had great luck with it. So i bought one and it does work well.

I got this system because it was editors choice in Pc mag and it came in the 2 unit configuration (base+satellite) which is perfect for my house. Installed easily and works perfect.

Purchased to replace my existing one that I always experiencing loss/slow signals. This netgear solves all my internet/WiFi problem and issue...it’s fast and very reliable.

Love the Orbi. Have it installed in both our winter and summer homes. Haven’t had to reboot it which is a huge improvement over older systems. Fast and reliable.

When I was considering setting up a mesh network, Orbi was the best option. It is a little more expensive than other options, but the dedicated backhaul makes a big difference with the connectivity as well as your ability to manage your WiFi. It takes some trial and error to find the right place for your satellite, but once you've got it right, it works great. I went with the AC2200 because the AC3000 was more than what I needed. However, I'm not sure if the AC3000 satellites function better....while there's still a lot to learn, I'm very happy with the product.

The WiFi speed really lived up to the promises. We now have great WiFi throughout our 3 story Home. Very satisfied!!

Setup was a breeze. Connection is great throughout entire home, even the outdoor security camera. Running multiple devices, 3 streaming TVs (one 4K), and wireless security system and never less than full bars in the entire house. Highly recommend!

By far the best Wi-Fi signal I have experienced. The signal is strong throughout the house. There is zero degradation of signal strength. Not a tech guy so I was impressed with the ease of setup and the dependability of unit. Plus it looks good too.

I've been dealing with horrible wifi for months. After having my internet provider come out numerous times trying to "fix" it, I decided to invest in the Orbi-netgear system and a new router. Problems solved, super fast wifi all the time. Best decision ever! Easy to install and solved my problems 100%!! Would definitely recommend this to anyone dealing with wifi issues!

Bought this wireless router to replace another Net Gear router I had used for many years and was very happy. I had read some of the reviews and felt that the ORBI router was what I needed for my house and all the items I use that are wireless. The set up was quick, easy and immediately enhanced overall connectivity and speed. Strongly recommend this product

I read through many reviews on this, Google’s and other devices to speed up and improve connectivity. This is by far the best one I have found and within 10 minutes, the firmware updated, the devices were operational and the app setup done. Haven’t had a problem since, even with power failures and many many devices. Great overall product.
