I replaced my old router with this Netgear mesh wi-fi system over the holidays and the difference in network connection strength and reliability is incredible. We have a 2200 sq. ft. 3-story house with devices on each floor and in far corners of the house that need to connect to the network. While the old router was quite powerful and had enough bandwidth, it couldn't keep up with the house layout and demands of remote work and school (reliable VPN connections, video and audio meetings etc.). I was routinely running into poor video/audio quality during meetings and frequent connection drops for the work VPN etc. This mesh wi-fi system with the router and wall-plug satellite have worked smoothly over the past few weeks. There is more than enough network speed and bandwith for multiple simultaneous video calls and streaming. The connection is solid and all issues with connection drops are gone. While the package came with only the one satellite, more can be added later after your setup the network. The wall plug-in satellite form factor is especially useful if you need to place the satellite in a location, say a hallway, where there isn't a good spot or furniture to place it. The only gripe I have is with the initial setup process. It makes you go in and out of the app multiple times and fiddle around with the phone's 4G data settings and app permissions etc., making the setup process kind of clunky and slow. I also considered the Nest and Eero wifi systems, but found this Netgear system to the best combination of features and performance for the price. Pros: Strong, reliable connection Supports firmware updates Cons: Clunky setup process Phone app is a bit slow and lacks some features like real-time network statistics, device-level data usage etc.

For months I had been experiencing less than acceptable wi-fi and being less than a tech geek I came to the conclusion that it was just going to be this way. But then, I happen to be in Best Buy and decided to ask if they had any suggestions for a solution to my problem and they ask if I had tried a Mesh Wi-Fi system, They suggested that I try this Netgear Orbi system and I couldn't have been more pleased. Immediate improvement all over my house! Thank you Best Buy and Netgear. If you are experiencing poor Wi-Fi this just may be your answer - it was for me.

We were recently suffering through AT&T 300mps services in our 1000 sq ft home. For the same price we decided to switch to Spectrum 400 MPs for essentially the same price. Due to the awful experience with AT&T, we didn’t want to risk having poor router performance with Spectrum. So I did my research and decided on this system because we want our garage to function as an office. When the spectrum installer came to add our internet service, he even admitted that this is a great unit. Our WiFi has never been better! Great coverage to the garage, throughout the entire house, and to the sidewalks.

Great product, easy to use, and great speeds. Allows me to connect all my devices and get the speeds that each device requires.

The Orbi is a great mesh router. I've installed those one in my folks place and they now have solid Wi-Fi signal throughout. Plus, with the Orbi App I can remotely administer/maintain my folks router who live 400+ miles away. I've also helped my Buddy install the Orbi version with two satellites to fix Wi-Fi issues for his 2 story house plus finished lower level. I've recommended this for my Barber and he installed it himself and it took care of his Wi-Fi issues at his place as well!

I purchased the NETGEAR Orbi system when I upgraded my internet speed. The tested speeds are consistently about 400-450 MBS (Download speed) and about 25-50 MBS (Upload). The extender is in a sunroom about 50 ft. from the main unit and provides similar speeds. I was able to use the button to link laptops and cell phones. My one complaint was a lack of ethernet ports on the back of the main unit, but an inexpensive ethernet switch provided me with 5 additional ports that work fine, (settop box, smart DVD player, Magic Jack VOIP, etc)- make sure you get high speed ethernet cords (Cat-8?)

Much better than a Wifi extender. We get 99% signal on the opposite side of the house. Reliable, easy to set up.

Works great, easy to set up. I like the ORBI ap. I had a dead spot in my garage, this corrected the problem. I may purchase a second satellite to expand into my back yard.

Have had orbis products before, and I absolutely love the speeds I get with this, it works pretty flawlessly, I just wish I bought the one with more satellites

Orbi AC2200 added the satisfactory speed to my Netgear cable modem. The satellite helped provide speed in other parts of the house

I bought this to replace my current WiFi router that died. I have a dead spot on the second floor of my house and the Best Buy worker said this would be the best solution. It took forever for some reason to first get it connected to the modem. Once I got it connected, it worked great. About a week later it unconnected itself and I had to do a hard reset to get it to connect again. It’s been three weeks and it’s stay connected now. I’m hoping for no more problems because when it is connected it works great.

This is the second system I have purchased. Love the range, easy setup. Covers my 2 story house and my in laws large ranch style house with ease.

I put the base unit on my 2nd floor and the extension on my first floor. The signal is excellent and solved a problem of dead areas. Simple to set up. Great product.

Bought this for my mom. She had been suffering through some dreadful dead spots. I was really impressed at the speed and range increases.

Works very good. Resolved my buffering issues around my home and the speed is very good as well. Set up was very easy.

The Orbi mesh router really covers so much more distance than a “regular dual band router”. Very satisfied with it and easy to set up.

We needed to update our wifi and after reviewing several routers, this is the one we chose. It was a good decision, My kids Fortnite does not lag anymore.

Item works very well once I got it running. I had to contact support for some issues I was having and although they tried to be very helpful I simply could not understand the tech support because of very thick accents. That being said I would not purchase an extended warranty either because of communication issues. Had to figure my issues by myself.

Easy setup with my Spectrum modem and set up was very easy using Netgear app for iPhone. Good coverage and fast speeds.
