I have a 4000sq ft house i just moved into. I knew i needed a mesh type system. I placed the main router most centered to my home and spread the satellites throughout. ALL my devices connect. As of today, i have over 30 devices connected to the system and not a single issue. Of the 30, 16 are Ring wi-fi cameras. The rest are 6 tv’s, 2 desktops, 2 cell phones, 2 apple watches, and whenever a tablet gets used. I have Charter 400/20 service. i get over that based on the built in speed tester. I recently purchased the outside extender as im on 2 acres. ill test that soon and submit my review on that later. i didnt think the system would allow another satellite but it did and its working.

The best! We had trouble covering our entire house, but the Orbi now has us covered. We are able to get great speeds in our backyard and even up the block.

The Orbi system significantly improved the wifi in our home. We had several areas where we would loose wifi signal often, and the Orbi definitely helped our range. The system was pricy, but it sure beats every other router we have attempted to use.

For years, I had 3 different routers for my 7500 sq ft home. I had an Apple router in the basement connected to the modem, a Netgear Nighthawk connected on the first floor, and an extender upstairs. My signal was being choked and I had trouble achieving the speeds that I pay for and getting a consistent connection. I often had to change networks. Until now, there was no streamlined consumer solution to my issues. After some research and pondering between Google WiFi, Linksys Velop, and Orbi, I came to the conclusion that I would stick with Netgear once more. The system was incredibly easy to setup. It's literally plug and play. The online wizard holds your hand through the process. I did have to re-arrange my satellites a few times, but now I'm getting ethernet-level speeds from every corner of my home over WiFi. I have one network now that automatically switches devices between 2.4ghz and 5ghz. I do have a brick wall between my patio and my house so I may need to purchase the outdoor satellite to get optimal performance outside, but the product being reviewed is just meant for indoors. This was super simple and blew my mind how well everything penetrated from the basement to upstairs. Mesh is the future, and this system is a great start. I can't ask for anything more.

Previous router was a Nighthawk & had good experience but was about 5-6 years old & didn’t cover whole house with a consistent signal. Had an extender but SSID has to be a different network name and frustrating when adding new devices. Mesh system seems to offer a better solution & for signal strength & speed. Satellites look like nice accessories & blend in with decor. Setup was easy & had up and running in about 30 minutes.

Absolutely worked the way I needed it to. I have an office that sits off of my long deck and is a bit far from my main router. I moved from very high performance, multi-stream routers with beam forming to this new solution because I needed more bandwidth in my external office. I tried the Google WiFi (a little too simple and low range and not a true mesh), EERO (a little too painful but solid mesh), Ubiquiti (great range but no Ethernet on the satellites) and finally tested the Orbis setup. I achieved the fastest backhauls, stable WiFi Connectivity, bandwidth and ease of use with this setup. I'm very happy. The installation was a snap. And don't freak out if a few of your satellites stay purple for a bit, it will work itself out. Most Def do the firmware updates as they fixed some of the IOS device problems in the latest releases. It is a little bit pricey though but well worth it if you ask me.

This product promises to provide better signal strength and coverage than older technology. Further it should be easy to install. yes and yes for both. It works well and is very easy to install. The phone app and QR codes make it simple. Just follow the easy directions. The areas with poor signal strength in my large home are now a thing of the past.

Purchased to install in a friend's apprx. 2100 sq ft home. This system definitely covers the area nicely. Set up was easy with the app. Once set up, not much control over network items (e.g. QoS)
Positive: Easy to set up, Good coverage.
Negative: Lack of fine-grain control, expensive.

This is the FIRST WiFi system (and I’ve bought 2 more since then) that allows me to move within a 4000 sq ft space. And seamlessly switch from one satellite to another without have to change routers manually. There is no breakdown of signal and speed and the setup is a breeze.

Installed in 10 minutes with no issues. Increased signal strength throughout the house and surrounding yard. At least 110/72 Mbs speed on all connected equipment; 4tvs, 3 computers, 5 phones, several tablets, 4 Echos. Recommend Orbi to everyone that wants blazing connectivity.

Good coverage for a somewhat large home, however I didn't understand why netgear opted to not have MU-MIMO, Implicit Beamforming, or Fast Roaming enabled upon setup. When we first set it up it was okay the coverage was pretty meh as well. Then the connection kept dropping, keep in mind we have like 30 devices on this network. Then I finally go in the settings and see that none of these features have been activated, nor are you given a choice during set up to activate them. Besides these things, it works great and I'm able to game on it and my parents can stream movies or netflix.

I brought the NETGEAR - Orbi AC8000 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (4-pack). Not sure why its showing the NETGEAR - Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (4-pack), I did not buy this item. Instead I brought the NETGEAR - Orbi AC8000 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System for a home with 6200sqft. However, the NETGEAR - Orbi AC8000 works great and its awesome to installed (simple and easy). Many "THANKS" to Robert (Rob) at Best Buy in Fayetteville, NC for his guidance and helping me to select the right item and getting a great product! And MANY THANKS also to Ms. Segulet for her guidance in getting all my RING products - she was awesome! I wish them both the very best and Best Buy should be VERY proud to have these two employees!

Soo happy with this purchase. I have 2 teenagers and they are extremely critical of the speed and dead spots. It was starting to become and issue. They would constantly complain till I bought this mesh system. It was easy to set up and the bonus is it comes with parental control and I can shut their devices off the wifi when I need their attention. I have the app on the ipad ,it has a password so they can't open the app. I got Disney Circle which allows you to block website and set time limits after 30 days you have to pay a small fee. Controlling the WIFI with my teenages is a extremely powerful tool as a parent. My house is 3 stories and since we bought we have WIFI everywhere. We love it

Quick and easy setup via the app or via web interface. Lots of options and status monitoring via the web interface. Range was surprising, and having the extra ethernet ports on each node was an added bonus. Great speeds with the dedicated backhaul channel.

I was a little skeptical that this mesh system would fulfill all of our Wi-fi needs, but after reading all of the positive reviews I went ahead and purchased it I’m thoroughly surprised at how well this system works. I can now FaceTime in my backyard enjoying the sun & my pool and I still have a crystal clear picture with no pixeling, poor connection or reconnecting issues. We swapped out our Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 which was a great router, but this Orbi system is FAR superior!! It blankets the ENTIRE home corner to corner with excellent coverage. I now get 565-570Mbps Download and 37-38Mbps Upload Wi-Fi in every room of my home with COX Gigablast. It’s very simple to set up and if you do run into trouble Netgear’s tech support is excellent. A little expensive, but WELL worth it!!

I was skeptical. There were no instructions in the box and getting it to work with Verizon fios gateway was frustrating but it works! I have full reception throughout my house and my detached garage which is about 40 feet from the house. Placement of the satellites is key to this working as desired.

I have purchased this item several times, for self & others. This system just works. This system, 1-Router, 3-Satellites , maximizes the system, that will cover 8 thousand square feet, will be suitable for most people. Your WiFi issues will be no more. This is the system that will cover your whole home with a WiFi signal, no more dead spots.

I live in an old two story house and had several dead spots through my house due to the old plaster walls. This network provides complete coverage in all bedrooms and basement and even back yard!
Super easy set up right out of the box. Basically just download the app and plug in the equipment and you get walked through a few easy steps to create your new network.
The app is easy to use and allows you to monitor network status and usage.
I believe there are several other features such as creating guest networks, but I have not yet explored those options.
Highly recommend.
