This system sends a strong signal throughout your home and even your yard. No more dropped signals for my smarthome products and the speeds this runs is incredible!

I love this Mesh System! I got a super price when on sale from Best Buy. It was easy to set up and it is powerful as well as nicely styled. I now get 140-142MBS wirelessly anywhere in my home! I wish that Best Buy offered an additional Satellite for a decent price. I still have one dead stop area in my home that is the farthest away from both units.

Orbi Wi Fi Fast and Simple

Bought two units to cover a bit of a stretched out house and the coverage is great. In a rural area so good internet options are few—but now have a WiFi system in the area that delivers high speed consistently. ORBIs work great with it so we can do what you can do with a cable or fiber system. ORBI’s were easy to set up and are easy to maintain with updates. Would buy again.

Very easy to set up with the walk through on the app. With the old router we had some patchy dead spots with the service. With Orbi those have all been eliminated with the satellite station. The speed has increased to all areas of the house and there has been no lag or disconnect when jumping from the base station to the satellite when moving around the house. Only had this for a week but it's worth the price.

Easy to connect, had to buy due to working remotely and needing more coverage in our home. Or give is 2500SF and signals had no problem reaching all areas of the house. We have one upstairs and one downstairs. I really like that Is monitors who is using it and I can put parental controls to prevent my kids from using devices so much

This system works very well in our largish house. I added an outdoor orbi router also and its covers a lot of the outside area very well. It took me a few different brand trials before i landed on orbi and this works the beat by far

Great WiFi - A Little Clunky

I was using a Linksys router in my home and was only getting speeds of up to 80-90 and the coverage around the home was spotty for a large house. I purchased this at a recommendation of Cox Communications and it was a great option. The coverage in the house with one satellite unit works perfect even outside in the backyard. The switch between the main router and the satellite is seamless. The cons I have with this, the set up was not quick and it took a while to establish with the internet modem. The directions with the device to set it up are confusing. Once connected it took a while for the internet to work on the devices. Also, I use WiFi for my xBox One X and there are security settings in the Orbi that needed to be shut off for these devices to work and it took a while to troubleshoot it to fix the issue, ultimately it worked. The other issue I keep finding is the Orbi doesn’t prioritize devices so devices that are connected don’t give priority to the speed to individual devices, so when I have multiple things going like my xBox, my roommates xBox and the Apple TV it bogs down. It also has dropped internet on the Orbi several times, but the modem and the street signal is still strong. It does test its speed at almost 360 so definitely much faster. Overall pleased, but definitely has a few quirks, but nothing that can’t be handled.

I've always like Netgear but for what I'm doing these Orbi mesh dual bases are the best. There's four of us in the house, all with phones that wifi call, all have well made computers for gaming and office and editing and streaming work, one is also handling media center work with HD tv output. We eat bandwidth, problem is though we pay for good internet and have a modem that can move the data, but we have stuff all over in the house and extenders and repeaters don't carry the speeds we need. Having the Orbi system is like having two high powered routers one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The proprietary wifi signal between them is capable of full gigabit speeds meaning if you have 600 mbs down on the main base the satellite should be very close to 600 mbs down as well. Set up was a breeze and it's all managed from my phone Orbi app. It even comes with the security built into the router so I don't need anything more than windows defender on the computers. Less background cpu usage is always nice.

Pretty easy to set up. We have hiccups here and there, but I think our Orbi mesh system has worked out pretty good with our Google fiber. We are all home (3 of us) at the same time and all on devices most the time. Everyone is happy with the the coverage and speed we get.

The Orbi wifi system has great coverage both inside my 3000 sq. ft. home as well as good coverage outdoors. It’s wasn’t as easy to set up as my Apple Airport Extreme that I had previously and it is a bit larger so can be a bit of an eyesore but it’s not bad. However it gives much better performance than the Airport and that’s what ultimately matters. Would definitely recommend.

I purchased this to replace a Linksys WRT 1900AC that was beginning to have some connectivity issues after nearly three years. After doing quite a bit of research, I decided that the Orbi system was the right solution for our house. The house is a two-story, long but narrow configuration, approx 2500' in size. This system has been great; had it nearly a month and no lost collections and my speeds regularly exceed 100 MBPS, which is the theoretical max provided in my plan from Xfinity. The set-up was easy, and I am very pleased with the purchase. I would definitely recommend!

Easy and convenient set up. One base and one satellite provide five-bar wireless coverage for a 2800 square foot home, and a strong signal well out into the yard - and that's with the base inside the coat closet at the front door. So far no hiccups with 12 devices and counting (PC, laptop, phones, pads, streaming TV's, game systems, etc.). Don't be discouraged by the price.

Hello, I needed to update my WiFi router after I bought a new Sony 4k HDR TV and I realize that WiFi wasn't fast enough to stream 4K content from like Netflix or Amazon. Before I didn't have a problem with coverage since my townhouse is only 1,600 sq feet, I just needed more speed (TV is down stair in the living room). Before I installed this device I was getting anywhere between 20-50 Mbps download (Comcast) throughout my place, now with this, I get 85 Mbps throughout my place and I'm able to stream 4K with no problem. So far this has been a great purchased for me.

I debated between several of the units now available. Part of my house has suffered with poor wifi even with an extender. As i utilize several wifi enabled devices from cameras to lighting to doors and locks. I literally installed the unit, connected the satellite and literally everything immediately worked including wifi in the hot tub out back - absolutely flawless with no lag at all in every area of my home whis is well over 4500 square feet. This unit works plain and simple, theyre not cheap but if you want flawless and seamless wifi you will NOT repret this purchase

I was abit skeptical to buy this setup because its not truly a mesh network. But the signal and speed coupled with the number of ports on both makes this a fantastic purchase. I upgraded from an old linksys router that was about 10 years old. The setup for this system was simple and the features on the app are super useful.

I needed WiFi in my garage without having to run cables. This does the job very well. My garage is not attached to the house It does however need some software upgrades. Because if I connect too many Wi-Fi devices to it well start to drop, then reconnect to certain devices. I have found that 10 devices it's fine. But with 15 it'll start to drop one or two wifi signals. My old nighthawk had the same amount hooked to it & it didn’t drop signal. would be nice if it had more ports on the back for hardwiring. Had to buy an additional adapter For hardwiring. I had a Nighthawk X8 that had plenty of adapters just didn't have the wifi distance.

I've tried all kinds of WiFi extenders and power line adapters, and none really solved my problems. I have an addition on the back of the house that is like a WiFi black hole. Unfortunately, the addition is where my family room (and big TV) is, so it's the one spot I really need WiFi. My buddy recommended the Orbi. I had just bought a new Netgear DST router 3 months ago, but the DST part quit working about a month in. I didn't bother reading reviews or doing any research--just went to Best Buy and bought the Orbi. I'll admit, the price slowed me down a bit, but then I thought about all the money I've wasted on other routers and extenders that didn't work. Setup was easy. Plugged them both in, and they connected to each other. It's clear that Netgear is still working out the software kinks on the Orbi, but bottom line is that they just work. I now consistently have a full signal in my family room, and I don't remember the last time Netflix or Hulu paused to buffer. After buying the Orbi, I started seeing reviews for it. The feature that sets this apart from the other "mesh" wifi routers is the dedicated band between the base unit and the satellite. No matter how many devices are competing for the wifi signal (at any given time, I have 40+ devices connected,) the speed between the satellite and the base unit is constant. I think I have a winner here. Definitely worth every penny.

The Orbi is easy to set up and has a long range of connection. I am a fan of Netgear, and this is a great improvement over their already great extenders. I have 18 devices connected with some in detached buildings. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why a device connects to the router instead of the satellite or vice versa, but as long as the signal is strong, I’m okay with that. I also love that I can control the Orbi remotely using the Netgear Genie. I would recommend this product if you can afford it. It is costly compared to the Netgear extenders.
