I have a 5,000 sq house in L shape. I have tried Asus RT-66U with ASUS (EA-N66) extender and then the latest Asus RT-AC5300. Outside of 10 ft radius, I have never achieved full internet speed with 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz connection was unstable. I have tinkered various antennas and wireless settings, and nothing really improved wifi speed significantly. Netgear Orbi AC3000 is first router that I got full connection speed at the end of house. I highly recommend this router. It's expensive but it's well worth it !

I bought the system with the router and one satellite, and then separately an outdoor satellite. The outdoor one is able to get a signal from an indoor one and it's nearly 600 feet away, that's impressive. I love the single SSID between all 3 and 2.4ghz and 5ghz, no concern about which you are connected to. It is pricey and lacking features my much cheaper Asus had though, such as the ability to see how much bandwidth is used by each device over time or even realtime, no shared USB disk drive capability, and no cellular fail-over.

Let me start with, I am not tech savvy at all! If you are looking for something that will help with your internet connection this is it!! We live out in the rural area and with only one internet provided available. We have a two story home and our connection was horrible. The sales man recommended this product and it is worst every penny, plus so easy to set up. If you are thinking of buying it, just do it!

Outstanding coverage for a dual band mesh system. You can easily cover 3K square feet without signal interruptions/dropouts. Guest Wi-Fi is a big plus, parental controls are useful and the monitoring of devices on your system is peace of mind. Couple this with Armor/ Bit Defender optional subscription after 30 day free trail offer not too much you can ask for.

I screwed up and bought a three node Velop system convinced I was getting the best network system to date. After three months of slow speeds, dropped nodes, and endless Netflix buffering, I cut my losses and bought the Orbi system. I could not be happier!!! I have consistent speed throughout my three story house and can actually use the full bandwidth I pay my provider for. Do not make the costly mistake I made...go with the Orbi if you're looking for fast, consistent, and reliable wireless connectivity.

Built our new home (walk out ranch) totaling 4,000 sq. ft. Mediacom fiber is our provider and purchased a package that screams streaming. Primary unit is located in the basement (hard wired to desktop computer) and satelite unit is upstairs in great room. Two tv's downstairs and two tv's upstairs. Two tv's are smart (Samsung) and the other two are connected thru Roku. Easy to setup, connect and program. No issues with connecting, buffering, anything!
