It works great! I'm using it connected to an older Blu-Ray player to watch NetFlix on. Super easy to configure and use!

I bought this product to provide ans internet connection in an apartment that's overcrowded with wifi signals. Works well for this limited purpose. I did find it was very sensitive to the length of the Ethernet cable attached to it. Frankly, I couldn't get it to work on any cable longer than the ones provided with the gear. It did work well with different cables, just not ones longer than the ones provided.

DSL in one building with router and hard wired to house. This kit allowed me to boost the range in the house..using my old Linksys.G access point...including to a distant back porch. Best of four other solutions tried and the simplist. Worked better than the new stuff suggested by store Recommended by member owned phone company.

You can get off-brands for half the price, and hopefully these will drop, as more vendors get into the market, but I prefer Netgear to anyone else, because of their product reliability.
Absolutely no setup. 1-connect to the router, 2-plug the 1st one in a dedicated AC outlet, 3-do the same wherever you want in the same building, then connect your device, the same way. 4-get online!
I've set up several of these, and had only one kit not work well, and the configuration was somewhat different than "normal", but all else have been remarkably simple, set-and-forget, wonderful technology.
The only setup to be careful about, is using the adapter with a switch, and multiple connections. A single connection is guaranteed success.

I used this to replace an older set of Netgear Powerline adapters that were at the 85mps. These made a huge difference. I use it to attach another wireless access point on the other side of my house. Better than using a wireless repeater. I use two of the Netgear Wireless N Routers as Access points off of a Comcast Router

Way faster than WiFi for Video Streaming

I decided to try out these powerline ethernet adapters to see whether they'd provide better video streaming capability for my TiVo units than the WiFi adapters I was using. Even though the wifi network in my home is pretty fast and has fairly uniform performance, the powerline adapters have proven to be MUCH better at video streaming.
I do have one outlet in the house that has a weak signal, but it's being used for home automation purposes, not video. This location also had a very weak wifi signal, so even the "slow" powerline speed is an improvement.
Be sure to follow NetGear's advice for not using any power strips (or even outlet adapters) if it can be avoided, as they definitely drop the powerline network speed.

The coax wiring for my house is terrible. In a rare moment, I actually spoke to an intelligent Xfinity tech sup person who recommended I try these. The set up was easy. This should easily handle the 105mbps I pay for with Xfinity, but with the power line adapter, my son is only getting 35mbps through the adapter. He has no complaints as far as streaming or gaming. I also bought a 2nd set for a couple smart tv's for Netflix streaming instead of using wifi.

We needed a data port in the garage of a home and could not run cabling. We purchase this item, plugged in one end next to the modem (connected it) and the other in the garage. Then connected a computer and we are able to connect to the internet. When testing the bandwidth we receive about 10/15 download (being as that is what we are getting thru our provider) so I have to say it works, did not have to program anything just plug in and go.
