I installed the Netgear powerline adapter to link my cable modem (in the basement) to my router (second floor) and have had excellent performance. It operates in the lower speed band (20-50 MHZ) but that is more than fast enough for my family.

I purchased this for my PS4 and my PC. I was previously running everything off of my WIFI network with ok results. After installing the netgear Ethernet adapter, which was as simple as plugging in one unit to my modem and the other to an outlet with the supplied cat 5 cable, my network was instantly running faster. No more lost connections to the Internet.

Recently moved to a new townhouse with two floors, and have to use Verizon Fios with their supplied modem/router combo. Good wireless on the 2nd floor where it is set up, but had some weak spots on the first floor, even weak enough that phones would revert to 4G and not wifi. Bought the Netgear kit with two adapters and hooked one up to the Fios access point, and then used an old router downstairs hooked to the other Netgear Ethernet adapter. Problem solved with strong reception throughout. I'm probably going to grab another adapter to use to run an Ethernet cable to an older Blu-ray player that doesn't have wireless capability.

Used these to connect my cable modem to my router instead of running cables through the wall. It works perfectly. They are on two separate circuits in the house separated by approximately 100 ft of electrical wiring. In this scenario they peak out at about 85Mbps.

This was bought to extend WiFi in the house. It not only boosted the speed but all so the range. All of the house has 100% Signal except 90% in one small area near the front door which we never use there any how. Before that area that is now 90% was 70% so it got boosted by 20%. Pretty darn good if you ask me.
