    I owned the non-SE version of this lens previously and never really enjoyed it much on the Z6/6II. The 50mm f/1.8S was always just a better performer and better focal length for my needs and really not that much different in terms of bulk. I recently picked up a Zfc, and now the 40mm f/2 makes more sense. The field of view is nearly identical to the 58mm f/1.4G on a full frame camera and is a really nice, slightly-long-normal perspective. This is no pancake, but the space savings on the more compact Zfc body are attractive as well.

    Great light lens for the everday carry. Perfect for capturing spontaneous family moments. Or street photography. I use it with my z6ii and have it ready all the time.

    I tested this out on my zfc, it's really sharp lens and the price is very affordable

    Spectacular for the Price! Sharp, compact and tons of character in the images. 95% as good as a 50mm F1.8 Z (which is saying a lot) for less than 1/2 the price. The 5% difference goes towards giving images from this lens a certain some'n that is very nice.

    This little lens goes perfectly with the Nikon ZF. this combo is great for street photography. The special edition version also goes well with the “vintage” look of the camera.
