Excellent camera that can do almost anything. The good: -Excellent photo quality (the few exceptions are listed below) -60x, long reach -Excellent ergonomics, very comfortable to handle -Lightweight for a camera like this -Great screen (although a bigger 3.2" would be better) -Lots of options but still overall easy to use -Lots of options for photo editing built-in the camera. I don't use them often, but it is good they are there -The battery seems to last as long as indicated or even longer The bad: -Small viewfinder -Continuous mode takes a few photos very fast, but then it needs a long time to save the photos and you are unable to use the camera during that time. Considering how long it takes to save, I don't find it very useful so I no longer use it. -Only the in-camera charger was included, those are not always as convenient so I had to buy the regular charger separately. I think it should have been included with the camera. -When taking a photo of a landscape (not using the zoom), this camera has lots of distortion. Sometimes you may not notice, but if you are photographing buildings or straight lines you will see the lines becoming a little curved in the photograph. -Photo quality is overall excellent, but some photos show noise even at low ISO -The camera gave me some issues at first, the screen would go dark when I was using it. I turned off the eye sensor and I have not had the issues since then. This seems like a malfunction because I wasn't close of the camera for the eye sensor to detect my eye, I was far away and the screen would go dark. I don't use the viewfinder of this camera much because it is too small, so as far as it doesn't give me the issue again (since now the eye sensor is off) it works for me. Because of this issue I gave it 3 stars, otherwise it would have gotten 4 stars. Summary: If you need a camera that can do almost anything, this may be the one. It has a few limitations but if those are not a problem for you, I would recommend this camera.

great camera, easy to use, pictures look professional

I've had this camera for over 30days and I am very pleased with it. You can zoom in extremely far and the autofocus works great. Excellent photos! The wifi capabilities on the camera is great and when you download the app it makes it super easy to transfer photos to your phone. With the app you can also setup the camera and take photos while using your phone (beats using the timer)

This camera takes amazing pictures as so many others do, but the ability to control my camera through my iPhone is great. Just set it up and stand back. Up to a hundred feet I have gone but with my phone I can zoom in and out. And hoot pics of my family with all of us in it, it's a great feature

After a lot of research we purchased this camera for a recent trip to Kauai. Shooting mostly on auto mode the camera took good pictures of us stand up paddleboard surfing. The zoom enabled us to capture the action even when it was off shore.

This camera is amazing and totally worth the price. All the extra effects make you feel like a pro. The zoom allows clear photos and ranges that even the naked eye has a hard time seeing. Highly recommend.

The Nikon Coolpix P610 provides the blend of simplicity and versatility that I was shopping for. The camera can be used in Program mode or with overrides. I especially like the 60X zoom, which eliminates the need for interchangeable lenses. (The P610 has a fixed lens.) Consider a tripod to avoid blur in zoom shots and a quality bag for protection.

We were looking for a camera to take carefree action shots and a good price. We've taken great photos of our sons baseball team that are as good as a DSLR without the challenges or the price. Its good enough for 99% of people that see the pictures, we're happy with the purchase.

I love this camera! I have gotten shot of birds and animals that I never thought I would ever get. Eagle's nest on a cliff, Baby Kestrel in the tree, various birds around my place. (that's been most of my photography so far). Zooms right in and with a tripod gets unbelievebly great closups and clear pictures (using digital zoom will degrade some). It does good with using vibration reduction when hand-held also. I'm still learning to use all its settings but I have NO regrets purchasing this camera. I bought it for the zoom. Lot of fun!

Purchased this camera almost 2 months ago. After getting familiarized with it, I've enjoyed the camera very much. It's ease of use, advanced settings, the ZOOM is amazing, and build quality is excellent. I'm still excited to go take photos everyday and am enjoying my new hobby.

I'm still learning to use the camera but took it to Europe and was very pleased with the photos. The only drawback is that you have to charge the battery while it is in the camera, unless you buy another type of charger.

I was heartbroken when my Nikon p80 took a tumble and had to be replaced. Had I known the improvements in the p610, I would have thrown the old one off a cliff long ago. Love the camera and the new innovations.

Love love this Camera! I have a much more expensive Sony! But love the distance on this camera! I also love thst it has a viewfinder as well as the screen. The battery stays charged for a very long time!

Simple beginners camera. Takes great pictures in the auto setting. Working with the flash is a bit difficult though.... you will need to do some manual adjustments.

This is a great camera, best zoom I ever had on a camera. At a Pittsburgh Pens Hockey game, we sat behind one net an my son an his family sat behind the opposite net, I zoomed in an the picture was super clear!

I absolutely love this camera...lightweight, sharp, and adore the long lens...comes in so handy when needed....My favorite one now!! Thank you Best Buy for the prompt delivery and lower price than others.

First just want to say this is a awesome camera. It takes great pictures and it is easy to use. It has so many different features for all your needs. One of my favorite is the wifi.
