Purchased before trip over seas. Worked great, easy to use, and produces high-quality pictures.

So I go this since my d3200 died. This is the next level up so we decided to spend the money and get it. First off it comes with 2 lenses (18-55, 70-300) which is really good for the price considering the 70-300 is about $250 by itself. Second I has snapbridge which allows you to automatically download pictures to your phone for easy uploading. It has all the features of the d3200 and much more. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they changed the manual shooting from the lens into the camera settings itself. You can still use your old lenses but its a pain if you have both kinds. The other thing that they changed is that now you need a special program to open raw or raw+ pictures which is a pain if you're taking a lot of pictures in raw. Other than that I love the camera.

my boyfriend and I planned a trip for Italy in the very beginning of the year. a few weeks before we were to leave, we forgot about getting a camera so we could bring home nice pictures. figuring we could find a good deal at best buy, we stopped, had awesome service and got a great product. this was our first dslr camera purchase so we needed a lot of advice when it came to picking one of the many options. I only gave this camera 4 out of 5 stars because I was told the camera has wifi but it only has Bluetooth. it's not a huge deal except for that being the connection between the camera and the nikon app. that doesn't work, though. I think it's something on the apps end - not 100% on that though. other than that little issue, the camera is easy to use, takes amazing pictures and is so worth the price.

I bought this camera to start learning on. It takes very good pictures and is easy to use. Will probably be the only camera you would nee if you want better pictures than a cell phone.
