Great camera. As a beginner in photography this camera has all the things needed to take great pictures and is very user friendly. I had to go on line for the users manual but all in all a great first camera. The only thing I would have liked was for Nikon to offer some free classes on their website with my purchase.

I really like this camera, it’s user friendly for sure. My only complaint is that my flash broke on it almost immediately. I was able to take it right back in and get a new camera, but it still make me nervous about the overall quality. Still, it’s a Nikon. I love the pictures it takes!

I have a Nikon N80s, D70s, D90 so my next upgrade should be a D7000 series but instead, I went for the D5600, to my great surprise this camera do as much as the 7500 except the body is smaller and not a sport/ weather proof Ip55. Being a weekly photographer this camera is really a good deal and the price is a lot cheaper. lightweight body but not heavy duty and anyway I usually take great care of my equipment. It also fit my Speedlight SB800 so am saving big...

I replaced a 20-year old Sony fixed zoom DSLR (which I liked) with this. I still have my 35mm Nikons and lenses, but haven't used them in years. I was an avid amateur/freelancer years ago, and wanted a capable system SLR with creative control, and this fit the bill. Similar Nikon cameras are used on TV/streaming on NCIS. Amazing capabilities, to me. Using candlelight scene, I can handhold at 300mm at night and still get sharp pix. Still trying to figure how use manual focus on distant objects, but most people will not be trying handheld astronomy photos. Flip out display awesome in several situations: selfies, ground-level pix, etc. Color, sharpness, exposure and flash are right on. Added inexpensive screw-on close-up lens I had, now can shoot Macro with 70-300 lens, focus within inches, quarter-size image. I'm looking forward to exploring all capabilities (HD video, time lapse movies, experimenting with external flash with slave unit, portraiture... (I was into everything back in the day, including some weddings, travel, pets, and kids, etc.) This thing has a downloadable and searchable 400-page manual that can link to info you need. Daunting, but I downloaded it to a Kindle and keep it with me. I still miss my Kodachrome.... but I will be happy putting images on a big screen. LOL

Very good camera for first one that is not a point and shoot. Have only had it 2 weeks and still learning how to use it. Seems somewhat easy. Can use it in manual mode and once I get more familiar with it will operate it in manual mode.

The Nikon - D5600 DSLR camera is an amazing product for a starting photographer! I would recommend shooting photos in RAW + Fine so you can always edit them more later when you gain more experience. The only thing keeping this product from 5 stars is the display screen. While it is touch screen, rotating, and nice to have it just does not due the photos justice as seen on the big screen. Don't worry about the Snap Bridge application and it transferring your photos. Updates have been released since the start of this product allowing it the feature to function nicely. It does take a while however, if you are trying to transfer over 100 photos at a time. Overall a great starter camera!

Great photos. Camera links to your phone and adds location info and date/time. Really useful for travelers. Also transfers pics to your phone ready for social media/texting/emailing. All this does take a hit on battery life, however.

Love the camera, but disappointed in the lack of instruction in the box. No manual to read through. Had to do a lot of YouTube searching to figure it out! Looking forward to advancing my skills and growing with this camera.

All reviews were pretty spot on. The camera is great for a beginner. The swivel touch screen works like a charm and helps with getting awkward angles. It's light enough to be portable but heavy enough to feel sturdy. Pictures are great just what you expect form a Nikon. Could use a better walkthrough for beginners and maybe not charge for a beginner course in the website. Overall great purchase. Price could have been a little less since the difference between this one and last years model is minimal.

This camera I’ve had for about 1 year and 6 months and I still have it in mint condition. The camera is great, you can even take pictures using Bluetooth so you don’t have to stand next to the camera when taking a selfie or a family portrait. The screen pivots in many directions so you can see what your shooting. Battery last long and the quality of the photos are pristine. I would recommend to even professionals

This is the first DSLR camera I laid my hands on. This is easy to use as a student & the controls make perfect sense! I believe this camera is well worth the price due to its durability and quality. My personal favorite. My only complaint is that the camera strap is annoying to re-do once it gets untied.

I've been thoroughly enjoying learning how to use a DSLR with this camera. I've made high quality images and find the learning process easy to handle. I like the versatility of the kit zoom lenses provided and I am starting to explore investing in a prime lens now.
I recommend searching YouTube reviews and tutorials for initial setup of this camera. I shoot in both RAW and Fine JPEG.
