The Nikon D7200 was recommended to me by the sales people (multiple) at the Best Buy store on Michigan Ave. in Chicago. The camera has performed flawlessly in capturing the images I told them I was most interested in (birds and street scenes). .They also recommended the Nikon - AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Standard Zoom Lens which has been great. Moderate weight for the capability and is compatible with my other DX lenses.

I upgraded from D7000 to D7200. Its such a good upgrade for me. I can't wait to put it thur some test. I may do it this weekend. So far, I've really like the camera. All the buttons are well located. Easy and simple to used. Camera feels good, grips nice.
I recommend a screen protector for the lcd.
Its too bad Nikon stop giving Hotshoe protectors on these camera. you may have to go out and buy one.

I was using the Nikon D3200 for the past few years and I hesitated to upgrade, wondering if the high cost of doing so was justified by the difference and increased utility. Turns out I was justified completely for this upgrade and investment! The photo quality is much better, particularly at low light levels where the D3200 just could not keep up. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone!

I've gone through the 3000 and 5000 series of Nikon cameras each one was great for the features it had. I decided to go for the D7200 to upgrade and enjoy the extra features it has. It has not let me down. I have to say it is a little more complicated BUT once I got to know the camera it is pretty easy to operate. Great clarity and shutter speed for the action photos I have taken.

Upgraded from a D3000 (quite old gear) and this is an amazing upgrade.
As I consider myself a mid level photographer i have found this camara great for develop new skills and practice things i wasn´t able with my old gear (like timelapses). Video quality is great and I have found great performance in low light conditions. Color is amaizing, i definitely recommend this camara!

This is the third Nikon camera in this format that I have bought starting with a D40 .The D7200 has taken advantage of so many new advances that it would take a large book to list them all. This camera can do so much, and do it very well that it will be my front line camera for a long time to come

This thing is solid. I came from a D90 and the new features are great. The best function for me is the wireless connection to my tablet, using some 3rd party software you can control everything on the camera remotely which allows me to take long exposures at night without having to bump the camera or re-adjust it to see the display.
Overall It's been awesome so far.

Nothing to comment on this....Awesome product. If you have D7100, its not worth upgrading....but if you have any other lower models from which you want to upgrade, this is worth it.
This is the best Nikon APS-C camera you can get, its pretty fast and the end product is awesome. It says, "It is challenge ready", so enjoy the beauty !!!

My Photography experience started back in a vocational high school with a AE-1. I was not interested in Digital SLR's until I saw the Nikon D-5000. About five years ago I purchased the D-5100 and was happy but missed working the camera myself and while it is possible it was not as easy as my AE-1 to be creative by totally controlling the exposure. I am so happy with the D7200. Sure it has more pixels but it is much easier to control the shutter speed and f stop with this camera. I feel like I am more in control rather than just letting the camera control the exposure.

This camera is my third Nikon DSLR. I have had great results with nikon. The D7200 is great in low light with a wide aperture lens and with smaller apertures with high ISO. Very easy to adjust settings when in "M" mode or any mode. I usually shoot in "M" mode. With the entry level DSLRs' I found it more cumbersome to adjust the settings and that detured me from shooting in manual. This camera has inspired me to learn more and has taken my photography to a new level of enjoyment and skill. It is well worth every penny spent. Nothing could ever replace the moments captured with the D7200.

I only have a few minutes to type this. My daughter plays indoor volleyball. I've tried using my mobile phone to take pictures for the last year and a half. It was not working!
I talked with a friend who has a daughter who plays and he showed me his Nikon D7100. He then showed me his pictures he took with his camera. So I went and bought a D3400, then, after a week, I upgraded to the D5600, then I upgraded to the D7200. I then upgraded to the D500. lol
I'll never look back. 10 frames per second. Great in low light. Easy to use. It's amazing!
Thank you Best Buy for allowing me so many exchanges/upgrades.
Sincerely,
a VB Team Dad

I already had a D7100 but needed to replace my D200 which was getting a tad old. I purchased the D7200 body only and I'm very happy with purchase. The only thing I don't like what Nikon did is change the way the NEF files are read so I had to upgrade my LR as they couldn't be imported in my older version.

This is a great camera. It takes sharp crisp pictues. There would be a bit of a learning curve going from a point and shoot camera, but that would be the case with most any DSLR. One good thing is, it comes with a full printed manual.

I've been working with the Nikon D7000 line for years. I think it's cool to have them with me, as long as they all enjoy the lenses. The D7200 is excellent, perfect focus and several functions to discover that help a lot and makes it very practical in day to day.
