A little expensive but worth every penny!!! The image quality is phenomenal

This is by far one of the best camera's on the market. If you want to take your pictures to the next level this is the camera to buy.

I bought this camera to replace a Nikon D800 after a mishap. This camera has a quieter shutter which is ideal for wildlife. It improves upon the D800's performance while keeping essential controls the same, so I was able to pick up the camera and go with it. So far so good! I look forward to years of good shooting with this camera.

I stepped up my camera from the D3300 to the D810 and couldn't be happier. Lots of bells and whistles!

I had my concerns with using a 36mp camera, with all the cautions that technique had to be perfect or else the camera would expose all flaws. Well, those concerns were immediately eliminated when I took it out of the box and deliberately tried to use "poor technique". Sharp, crystal clear images with tons of dynamic range. Very happy that I made the purchase!

Fantastic camera! IQ is top notch. My only wish is a wifi interaction like the d750, however, the lack of an AA filter and resolution make this beast a camera to last many years.

I have the Nikon D600 and now the D810. Buy the D600/610 if: 1) you do not own any FX DSLR body. 2) budget is less than $2200.00. 3) have only SD/microSD cards. 4) have FX lenses already. 5) need light weight/small DSLR body. 6) dont care about 39AF vs 51AF points. Buy the D810 if: 1) got $3600 to spare. 2) have FX Pro/Nano coat lense. 3) shoot video. 4) print/make use of 36.3MP. 5) have hands big enough 6) can deal with the little extra weight. Best dynamic range. Pixel sharpness. Shooting Buffer. Best FX DSLR video. Low ligt is near identical to D4s and D600/610 when all photos resized to D4s' 16MP. No other reason.

One of the best dSLR's of its class. I would highly recommend this to any pro!

The best camera a very fast working camera great pictures

This camera is a beast and performs awesome is most situations. If you are looking for a Nikon with lots of megapixels then this camera is it. Fast shooting, great clarity and a really solid design. You can never go wrong with a Nikon D800 or the new D810. However if you are looking for something that is almost just as good of quality with better video features I would get the D750 over the D810 any day and put the extra money into some great glass.

As a professional photographer, I demand the best from my equipment. I decided to upgrade from my Nikon D610 to the D810. What a beautiful machine. I highly recommend this camera if you need fast action, and the availability to shoot in low light.
