The first one I bought ended up having to be exchanged due to some odd issue where the camera would crash and then have to restart. I exchanged it for a second one and it has gone about 3000 shots so far without a single issue. The camera itself is absolutely absurdly amazing. It is single-handedly the most impressive camera I have ever used. The autofocus is able to nab birds in flight easily. At 45MP, it gives tons of room to crop. The file sizes are also better than you would expect for the resolution of the camera. Honestly, this is essentially the ultimate camera.

Have used it for a few weeks in different event scenarios and I must say... it is an amazing camera. Best I've used to date and I have been upgrading with Nikon cameras for over a decade. The quality and and size of the 40mp files is incredible. I already want to upgrade my second camera to this one!

I am impressed with this camera…and continue to be more so as features are added with each new firmware update. I love its low light detail. Extraordinary pictures.

The image quality is stunning – rich detail, excellent dynamic range, and beautiful colors straight out of the camera. Autofocus is incredibly fast and accurate, even in challenging lighting. I’ve used it for both landscape and wildlife photography, and it performs flawlessly in both scenarios.

I've been a traveler in photography since 1967. Having upgraded my digital cameras through the years I believe this one has all the features (and more) compared to the Z7 which I also have.

This camera definitely feels like an upgrade over my z6 i was previously using. But it is larger to start with. So there is the added weight. Secondly the images/file size with the larger sensor take up twice as much storage space. But my biggest issue with this camera is the same that i had with my z6. IT STILL MISSES THE FOCUS. nothing worse than spending a whole day shooting, and getting home to find half of your images are unusable because the images are out of focus. Even with the eye detection feature. There are still some issue nailing the focus. But when it does its razor sharp. So often times i find myself have to shoot a pose multiple times just to make sure i get one usuable image. And that is an awful lot to go thru for a close to $4k camera and lens that are an additional $1-3k.

I upgraded from a Canon 80D to this flagship Nikon z8. Wow, the focus tracking, low iso noise, picture quality and frames per second outshine the 80D by a mile despite the anticipated learning curve coming from a different manufacturer. Watch YT helped with customization settings for focusing and reassigning button as needed. Pictures look amazing and I’m loving it so far!

Well ... at first, I found it a little intimidating, but using Thom Hogan and Steve Perry books readily understand how it works and the difference and enhancements of the Z8. Great camera... well versed in Nikon with a D700, D810,D500,D850 and now a Z6ii, Z6iii and a Z8. Good luck camera is well worth it if you learn how to use its functions.

Purchase was easy and fast. Glad I opted for the protection plan. This is a really great camera. Love it so much. Bought it in store and the salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great buying experience!

Amazing camera, auto focus and target tracking are awesome. I get more keepers than i did with my previous camera.
The amount of settings was overwhelming at first, but once I got everything setup it was a breeze.
I love the amount of programmable buttons that it has. I can change just about every button on the camera to do what I want and have every setting I need to change while shooting a finger click away instead of digging through the menus.
I would highly recomend this camera.

This camera is a BEAST! I upgraded from a Nikon Z5 and the features on this are amazing! Definitely a learning curve, don't buy this today and try to shoot a wedding tomorrow! Learn the controls and create some awesome custom controls as well. The ONLY reason I downgraded the EASE OF USE rating is because it's NOT EASY to jump into using this. Read, watch YouTube videos, PRACTICE! You will be much happier after doing that! When you do purchase, ENJOY IT!!

Best Nikon camera for wildlife and sports. You cant go wrong with this one. It has so many features that were missing on my Nikon Z6 II. Namely, ability to store settings in banks. You can also create "My Menu" and customize for yourself. Its crazy fast in focusing in low light. Subject tracking is game changer. Haven't noticed any rolling shutter issues so far. The only downside is the battery life, i keep 2 batteries with me all the time.
