I recently built my first PC and was looking to get my hands on one of the 50 series cards. Luckily I found one on best buy at MSRP! Great card for 1440p and 4k gaming!

I does what it needs to do. The hoops you have jump through to get there though is a different story. I never got an black screens but my computer did hang a few times til I disable the iGPU for my 9800x3D and set the pcie gen to 4.0. Luckily I've manage to get this on launch but I wouldn't reccomend the other 5080s over $1200.

Went from a 3070 ti to a 5080 and got 50 percent more frames. For msrp of $999 it is worth it.

Pretty great. A shame that its so hard to get one of these due to terrible stocking issues, but definitely a beast in 1440p high refresh rate gaming and even for some 4k use.

Im also coming from a 3070 so this is a huge upgrade into 4k and max 1440p, its cheaper than a 4090 but performance feels just as good and in 4k you wont be bottleneck by AM4 chips like the 7 5800x3D

I watched the videos and read the early reviews but pulled the trigger for a long awaited upgrade from an 8GB 3070. This GPU is FN amazing, playing 4k, HDR, full raytracting, path tracing, ultra everything, and DLSS4 my FPS minimum in Cyberpunk 2077 was 161. Every game i throw at it its night and day and genuinely the best performing card I’ve ever bought on the first day I opened it. At MSRP it feels like i bought a 2000 dollar card, enough to the point where i have a great 144hz 4k monitor….why would i need more than that? I dont. That being said it looks sleek and made me feel all soft and gooey on the inside because games have never been so pretty. If you can get it you wont regret it.

The 5080 FE is a beautiful looking card and one of the best I've personally owned. Unfortunately, my unit came with some pretty bad coil whine (common among FE owners). While coil whine isn't necessarily indicative of a defect, it's pretty irritating, especially when the coil whine is occurring when the GPU is under no load and the fans aren't spinning/ramping up leading to a very distinctive sound. I would expect more from a $1000 graphics card. Finally, and this is a bit tangential, but it's really not excusable to sell a 16GB VRAM card in 2025 for $1000+.

Amazing GPU, only downside would be the VRAM but very few games ever get close to hitting the VRAM limit Upgraded from a 3080 to a 5080

Good card, games well at 4k, a big jump from my 3080. However, somewhat disappointed in the amount of vram, for a 1000$ card you would expect more but overall, good card.

Nvidia's 5000 series has been pretty lackluster in comparison to the past, but I see this more as a result of an industry that has flown too close to the sun. Long gone are the days where we'd see a double in efficiency and rasterization every 2 years. Of course, Nvidia is also to blame, making questionable decisions like giving the 5080 only 16GB of VRAM. For a $1000 modern card, it is kind of baffling to have to make these sacrifices in comparison to buying something like the 5 year old RTX 3090. However, if you are not using this for productivity then 16GB is well enough for 4k gaming. At MSRP I think it's just barely worth its price tag.

Great card if bought for the msrp most if not all partner cards are not worth the 1400+ they are asking for.
