I have the HTC Vive, HTC Vive Pro and the Oculus Rift, so I can really compare them side by side. The Oculus Rift is much cheaper than the Vive Pro and you get what you paid for. It's almost unfair to compare them because they're not in the same league: The Vive/View Pro are high-end VR systems that provide an immersive VR experience. The Oculus Rift is a TOY that never lets you forget what's you're seeing isn't real. The resolution is that of VHS, when compared to the Vive/Vive Pro DVD experience. All the videos are granulated, choppy and the games are slow and low res. If you have glasses, forget about this device. They won't fit in the tiny, uncomfortable headset. I ordered a special insert with prescription lenses, but even that doesn't fit well and makes the headset even more uncomfortable. I'm putting my unit on Craigslist this week and reinstalling my Vive.

I bought this to play Elite Dangerous with my son who has a Vive. The back strap on the Oculous has a hard triangle piece that bruised a bone on the back of my head. So I returned it. Otherwise it worked well.

I’ve regretted this purchase since about 2 weeks after buying it. It was more of a novelty item, fun to use a few times, but not all the time. Now it just collects dust for the most part. The biggest issue was the graphics, screen door effect is huge and nothing looks crisp, tech just isn’t there yet for these.

My Rift came as a mostly empty, torn-up box. The only thing in the box was the headset. No touch controllers, and no sensors. I love the headset and it works very well, but if you're going to buy this product get it from a more trustworthy source.

Please read the requirements for this product before you buy it. Unfortunately I DID NOT read it and had to return the product because my computer was not compatible. It was either that or spend another $800 or more to buy a compatible computer.

This is a great system if you want to invest additional monies in games. When purchased as a gift we thought it was compatable with our sons existing gaming systems. It was not and was returned shortly after purchase.

No instructions to setup. Had to download all software. No disk provided. No number to call tech support. Have to wait for 1-2 days.

You will need windows 10 and It used all my spare usb ports too. Oculus home and one free game worked but steam games would not launch from steam vr. The sensor setup was a pain and said I was too close even though I was 3 feet away. What I played looked good but finally gave up. It kept going back to oculus home. I'm saving for the vive that only needs 1 usb. The painful part was you had to keep pulling off the headset for setup and look at monitor. I really wanted to like it but it was too needy!!

I love how just 3 months after the warranty was up the cable breaks and I find out I can't even buy a new one even if I wanted to because they don't make them anymore. I'm not really to invest into a new VR system yet when I've only had this one for a year. But I do know for sure I'm not going with Oculus when the time comes to buy a new one.

I can’t say. As research dictates, you gotta have a beefed up computer to run this. Had to return although was sure computer was enough. Disappointed. Went with the PlayStation VR. Very pleased and games are inexpensive. Since it’s for gaming and not movies, PlayStation VR is perfect. If movies is a want...try the Oculus if possible.

Was not compatible, would not work with my PC sadly

The hardware is solid but I can't give this a good review with Facebook's new policies requiring a Facebook account. You want to make customers use Facebook? Forget it. It's a shame that Oculus was bought out by Facebook. Sold this for a Valve Index.

Purchased this expensive VR for Christmas for my 16 year old son. One of the controllers broke on the fourth day. So now we have sent it back and need to wait on a replacement controller. Apparently this has happened to others.

The picture flickered most of the time. It looked cool when it worked, but that wasn't most of the time. The sensors also missed a lot of my movements.

Definitely not worth the price , such a hassle.tomset up, requirements on your PC , must be compatible and once you are finally ok on everything , it dissapoints by giving you blurry images. Needs a lot of work

It's okay for the average person to use. But I wouldn't recommend it for anyone else. It's pretty pricey for what you get and new technology is worth waiting a few more months for instead.

Make sure computer requirements are exactly as needed. Tried 2 different rifts and bought 2 different accessories to help make it work but to no prevail.

The next generation device will be worth the investment. The quality and need to set up external sensors make this less than practical

I returned it because my screen kept going black. I ordered another one from Best Buy and it works great so far no issues.

Bought it for my son and it made him dizzy. It was hard to play made him sick to his stomach.
