This receiver appears to do all it's supposed to do.... easy to use, excellent sound, good synchronization with our 75" Samsung TV with full 4K home theater surround. Very pleased with this product

This unit really does a good job at surround sound. All the hookups you could need plus 4K. The sound is great and the setup is easy. If you need a good mid-level unit this Onkyo is a good choice.

Love the ease of use. Set up was easy and the sound is amazing. I’m happy with this one, glad I discovered it based on positive reviews. I think Onkyo is back and here to stay.

I am very please with this Onkyo receiver . It is going to bring me many hours of great sounding entertainment . It is has been a great investment even in a short period of time . Dolby Atmos is amazing !

It sounds great. It would probably sound even better with better speakers. It doesn't have as many inputs as previous amps but i don't use that many devices anymore.
The volume is positive instead of negative, and the number displayed seems to be roughly the decibels, both of which I like.

The sound is awesome. It was easy to set up. It set up by the ap. We don't have wireless speakers but wired are good. Alexa is and easy too. We are very happy with it.
Good for it's price - missing some common features

The receiver has decent sound and is fairly configurable to the environment it's placed in. You can choose whether to playback for 7,2 down through stereo output and mixed modes in between - including whether to specify a channel for subwoofer exist or not. Drawback - no stereo line output to record or connect a second amplifier.

Not a bad choice for a budget receiver but I found 3 things particularly annoying:
1) no usb on the front, have to get behind the receiver/rack every time you want to add music to your usb
2) bluetooth is terrible, constantly cuts out
3) speaker connections in back do not accommodate banana plugs

Input switching is slow. When passing 4k, the screen will occasionally blip out for 10 seconds then return. Started doing this after about 6 months. Still a pretty good unit. Not enough HDMI inputs. Will replace soon.
