Purchased this for my new Samsung Galaxy S9+. I knew it was thicker than a lot of other phone case but the added protection is worth it. I have dropped my phone on concrete & other floors several time. No breaks or scratches.

I purchased a Defender case for my Samsung Note 3 several years ago with excellent results, so I was expecting the same or better outcome with this iteration. I wasn’t disappointed! This Defender case is rugged & sturdy, yet not too bulky. I also purchased a Pursuit case for another phone in the family. The greatest difference between the two is the rubber on the Defender case is a bit stickier and gives a much better grip than the Pursuit case. PROS: - Tight, solid fitting - Tough & resilient - Belt clip included CONS: - Does not come with glass protector - Belt clip/holster is very bulky - Port covers are difficult to close properly

I love my Otter Box case ! I fits the phone very snug and protects it well. The case is padded in all the right places to protect the screen and the case has an over all slim feel to it. It's not at all bulky. The case is easy to grip and wont slip while your holding it.

I literally just got the S9+ about 2 weeks ago and love the phone, however case selection just sucks. I have always had Otterbox cases with the built in screen protectors, however this one does not have one. I was kinda bum at first about it, but the way the phone sits in the case, I don't see the screen getting damage unless it was drop on the screen itself. If you flip it over on the front the case sits out past the screen and keeps the screen from coming into contact with whatever it's sitting on. I like how rugged the case is and I know it will protect my phone regardless. Now I just need to find a screen protector.

The Otterbox does increase the size and thickness of the phone in your hand. However the texturizing on the sides make it easier to grip. I was afraid I was going to have to take Glock grip tape and cut my own "grip" for it, but surprisingly I do not feel it is needed. The case allows for wi-fi charging but it's a bugger to do NFC transmissions. Some phones have no problems with it, and others do. Since it's not a simple slide out case (you have to snap your phone into a shell before it goes into the main shell), constant removing from case could lead to a shorter lifespan for the case. A bit pricey but it looks professional and so far appears to be protecting the phone well.

This is a great case to protect your phone. The buttons work well. The screen is not protected with this case, get a screen protector! The belt clip is secure. One thing I did not notice until recently. The back panel is flexible. I have a magnet base on it for use in the car, the phone case now stretches away from the phone while on the magnetic holder. Another area of concern is the charging port. The original cable works fine through the cover, but an adapter for a mini to a C will not fit. Make sure you have two proper USB-C cords if you have this case on. Finally, you can use a wireless charger with this case.

I've always loved otterbox defender series because I feel it provides total protection. It is a shame though that they discontinued the front screen protector. Apparently a lot of people felt it negatively impacted the touch response. I never had this problem with the previous versions that had the screen protector. The screen protector is gone but price unchanged. It would be nice if they included the screen protector in a way that its use is optional.

This is my second OtterBox. Are used one of my Samsung galaxy S5 and it was a great decision. It went on the phone extremely easily and an even protect the screen. There is no screen protector but I feel one is not needed using this OtterBox

Worth the money. Protects my phone every time I've dropped it, no damage. Easy to get on/off. Easy access to charge Port and audio jack. Rugged design is still slim enough to fit in pocket. Clip comes in handy too.

I bought this as a quick insurance policy, it is a nice case, easy to install and remove, but it is not the best for wireless charging, but I bought it for protection against drops and it works really well for that

Bought this protector for my wife. It has great grip and multi layered drop protection. I doubt you'll find a more drop proof case, but it adds bulk. The size isn't terrible for holding thanks to the long narrow design of the s9+ phone. It does prevent the phone from charging on our Samsung wireless charging pad.

case for s9 protects as expected.. Would like a built in screen cover for extra protection but this case does the job.. Solidly built and easy to hold. It does add some weight ot phone..

I had broken the screen protector on my phone approximately 10 times, no exaggeration. I had always bought an Otter case, but I wanted a different brand "cute" case for my phone. After dropping my phone several times on several different occasions with that "cute" phone case, and breaking my screen protector each time, I FINALLY came to my senses and bought another OTTER. The OTTER always outlasts my phones. The reason why we buy the OTTER is for protection, and it delivers every time! I'm an OTTER girl!

This case fits great. Great protection for my phone. Only thing is that this does not come with a screen protector. Over all I am very satisfied with this case

I've stuck with otterbox for a long while now. I bought a galaxy s9 for my wife and wasn't sure how excited I was about the case no longer coming with a built-in cover. Edges on this though protrude a ways out to protect the screen, also able to get an otterbox glass screen protector and install it myself without issue. The case with the glass protector keeps the phone clean and sleek. Well see how it goes, but this is still my top case choice. If you have a wireless charger keep in m it ng you may need a more powerful one to charge through this case.

Very protective case. Good grip surface. Easy to install with secure locking tabs. A little bulky, but worth it if you need the protection.

Like I said it is an Otterbox that being said it fits the S9+ perfectly. Seems sturdy enough to keep it well protected and secure. No screen protector so get one but the rigid inner case will keep the phone more secure than an all rubber case. It is small enough to keep in the front pocket comfortably all day. The charge port hole is large enough to fit the aftermarket USB C charger I use. Although the adapter is too large so no data transfer with the case on. All in all it does what I need.

I've never had an Otterbox case before but I was attracted to the color because purple is my favorite and it matched my new lilac purple GS9+. I had a best buy phone tech install it because I was in a hurry but it didn't look too complicated. I've bumped the phone case a few times since it's been on and it's done its job of protecting the phone well. I only wish it had a built in screen cover, but it does not. Overall though, I think the case is a great deal for the protection it does provide.

After buying a phone that is basically a computer, and costs as much as one, I wanted to make sure mine was protected. This case fits the bill. It's slightly rubberized so it feels good in the hand. The case is built to strict tolerances so it's fairly waterproof. I've briefly dipped it and it survived. I wouldn't trying swimming with the case on however. It's one of the larger cases out there, but the protections that if offers and the nice fit and finish make it worthwhile for me.

Still rugged and less bulky for the defender. Feels great when holding and fits like a glove. One thing I hope they figure out is how to incorporate a screen cover. That's the only reason for the 4 stars.
