This game came highly recommended, so I decided to try it out. No single player story/campaign mode. There are options to play against the computer AI but the majority of the time I spend on the game is online against other players. This game is a non-stop fun, 6v6 team based shooter. Use one of 21 different playable characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Build a team composition based on different characters attributes. This game stresses teamwork, support, and communication. A well balanced team often yields great results. Sound and graphics are amazing and user interface is easy to get used to! Fun for a quick break or hours at a time. Highly recommended! I bought one for myself (with my console) and one for the girlfriend!

This game is so addictive! I haven't had so much fun with an online shooter since Modern Warfare 2. Each character has so much charm and love put into it. Because of all of the different characters, you can find one that fits your play style. They also do so many special events with new holiday modes and skins so there is always a reason to keep coming back and playing more.

This is a great game that is very different from typical first person shooters. In the main game you have two teams of 6 battling to complete objectives.
They have four types of characters:
Attack
Defend
Tank
Support
It is an online only game and does not have any sort of story or single player mode. They keep it updated and add new characters and maps regularly. The main place to play is PC, but the game is still good on consoles.

Great game, great characters, and great maps. All the ingredients for a thinking persons shooter. Teamwork is required for victory and understanding of the strengths and weakness of the characters chosen. A welcome difference from the normal array of shooters on Xbox.

An addictive FPS game that will be played for years to come. With no sign of slowing down Blizzard has made the quintessential FPS game of this console generation. With all very unique characters and abilities. This will have you playing for hours.

Game is fantastic but lacks a variety of game modes. Currently, there only three and the saving grace is having multiple heros to play those three types of game modes. Also, $60 is to much for this game, thankfully I have gamer club unlocked and had a gift card which knocked it down to $46. I would recommend buying it when it hits $40.

Overwatch does what it sets out to do, and it does it well; it's a basic class-based FPS where the player has to swap heroes/characters/whathaveyou to accommodate for the strengths on the enemy team's roster while taking a control point or escorting a payload on offense or defending said points as defense, though maps with neutral king-of-the-hill objectives find both teams assaulting. Heroes each have abilities they can use throughout the match on short cooldowns, and one super ability that charges by performing actions like getting kill or contributing damage, healing, or escorting the payload.
But that's it. There's no campaign and the progression system is simply playing games to level up so you can get loot boxes with skins, voice lines, emotes, and little icons called sprays you can place down while in a game, though those levels are arbitrary and doesn't separate you from lower or higher levels in matchmaking. Team communication is a pivotal element yet very few people seem to utilize the in-game voice chat, leading to frustrating matches where you're using the comm wheel to try and get your teammates to group up for a push only for them to run in one-by-one and get mowed down by a Bastion. Playing with friends or establishing a group you can communicate with his highly recommended.
Am I having fun with Overwatch? Yes, absolutely. I've got several thousand hours of TF2 on PC, and with Overwatch being on consoles I can play this with my non-PC gaming friends so I plan on getting a lot of hours of enjoyment in with them. Could Overwatch have been overhyped? Yes. Aside from all of the characters being identifiable and fun to play, there's not much here in terms of content; a large selection of maps still only have three different objectives on them - payload, capture point, and king of the hill, and the only form of reward for continued play is unlocking loot boxes with cosmetics though (and some people might find this blasphemy in a full-price game) micro-transactions are in place so that a player can just fork over $$ for a RANDOM assortment of items in the box, some of which can be duplicates that the player already has unlocked which will reward a pittance of Currency, which can be used to unlock a skin, voice line, emote, or spray of your choosing. More heroes will be coming as the game moves forward, and on the horizon is the Ranked playlist where stats will be tracked which, hopefully, will resolve the issue of matches very often being overly one-sided victories.
Overwatch is a great game, though one with room in which it can improve which Blizzard seems to be keen on doing. I'd still highly recommend it as it's very enjoyable to just find a character you like and blast through a few casual games with friends.
Plus, the world could always use more heroes.

An amazing game! Worth the full retail price it asks for. 21 different characters with each one playing differently leads to endless amounts of fun. 3 different game modes with 6 maps and 21 characters. Have put in at least 70 hours of game play so far

I am disappointed i took so long to purchase this game.
It is so much better than any other fps game and so much different.
The graphics are "cartoony" an awesome. Simply looks amazing. The stages remind me of WoW and rightfully so as they made the game. If your familiar with WoW just think alliance town and youll see what im saying.
Gameplay is great. If you like to run around and shoot go for it! Not a fan of that? Thats ok too! Grab a healer class and heal others while staying back and positioning yourself while shooting when you get a break from healing. Still not seeing what you like? Well my friend worry not and grab a tank class! Tons of health and defensive manuevers to keep you and others alive while dealing massive damage.
This game has something for everyone just about. It spanks COD and BF like nintendo spanking sega.
Another nice feature is in between matches while it looks for another game you go into scrimage mode where nothing counts. You run around try new chars out if you want or just explore the map and kill the opposition.
Tldr: Game is awesome buy it, play it, love it!

A very fun game. The only reason I say 4 stars is because there is no campaign what so ever. If you couldn't care less about a campaign then this very well could be a 5 star game.
You have a ton of unique characters to choose from much like a fighting game. Really varied and unique maps and game modes as well. Plus some pretty cool unlocks for those characters the more you play.

The game is fun with a good variety of characters, maps, and modes. I hope it would have some nice stories accompanied by some amazing scinematics. It does not require the player to spend a lot of time to finish a level before saving. However, beware of penalties leaving the game half way. No upgrade to characters, only skins/sprays/emotes are available in loots.

The last game that was multiplayer only that I liked was Evolve. Now I know a lot of people didn't like that game but I liked the concept. However with Overwatch I'm having a blast. Each character is unique and plays differently, the maps are fun and matches are quick. If you have some friends to play with you'll enjoy the game even more

After watching a few gameplay videos and reading a lot of posts in forums, I decided to jump in. The tutorial was pretty basic, even placing the easiest hero to use as a tutorial character. There is a training grounds in which you can take any hero and test out their abilities, but I decided to join a multiplayer mode instead. I first tried the mode Play vs A.I. where you are paired with other players and go against CPUs. The matches would fly by rather quickly, due to the A.I. not fairing to well against 6 people.
I then jumped into the mystery battle that was going on at the time, where upon death the game would switch you to a different hero. I found myself learning how the entire cast of heroes played fairly quickly, while being able to test them out. This may have been the mode that assured me that I would be playing this game for a long time.
The heroes are pretty varied and interesting, both in gameplay style and unique desing, and they all feel fun to play. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you have friends to play with.

Usually not a fan of multiplayer only games, but Overwatch is really fun, especially with friends. i actually convinced my best friend to buy a copy with me.
I like they game setup, 21 different characters, you can change characters if you die at any time or if you go back to the safe house.
at the start of each match most players are very sporting and like to use the emotes feature to say hello before the match starts. i have found some players like to troll and some like to actually play the game competitively, sometimes too competitively.
Blizzard has promised lots of free content too, so well worth it especially if you have gamers club unlocked for 20% off. cha- ching,
