She receives so many spam calls like the rest of us, but this phone automatically blocks spam calls as well as allowing her to manually block many more.

We like having a land-line so that we reduce the number of spam calls on our Cell Phones. It was easy to set up and the voice system even notifies us for potential spam calls.

I have had the last phone, Panasonic, many years. The new set is pretty to easy to use for the features we use the most, but the instruction book is not easy to understand for some of the features I have not used before.

Wow--no more robo!

Amazing! Other than the "voice" of the phone being a little robotic and not pronouncing some names well, it's a really good product.

I'd purchased an AT&T set which was hard to use (5 keystrokes to get to my directory) and had no "caller ID announce" - so I had to run to the nearest handset to see caller ID. This phone set announces caller ID, and I can either immediately block, or press a button which asks the caller to say their name. If it's a machine calling, it gets disconnected and auto-blocked. My phone directory is one button to access. Using caller ID I can send telemarketing calls which I missed to the blocked list. Yay!!

I’ve reduced those robo calls from 20 a day down to 2 or 3 a day & Im blocking them as they come in. It’s a little difficult to set up my caller list. Takes patience. The sound quality is great.

I like that the phone announces who is calling even though it can't always be understood. Setting up the directory was a challenge. I keep the instructions near the phone until I can get used to it. We're happy to find a phone that mounts on the wall.

I searched for a Panasonic with better features which I discovered Best Buy's wonderful purchase, wonderful delivery in two days. The only complaint is that he needs to use the speaker phone when using because it’s not loud enough for him to hear on otherwise.

Beware if using cell mode without landline

We bought this system to get rid of our landline at home and just use our mobiles. These phones are NOT the solution. In cell (bluetooth) only mode (no landline), you cannot dial out from the handset key pad and you cannot select a number from your mobile phone's contacts. You can only select a phone number from the list of the last 5 numbers dialed in the handset to call out. This is a severe and unacceptable limitation.

Please note that the KX-TGD833W telephone system does not support the Link to Cell feature. If you have a different phone model please make sure that the Cellular Line only mode is set to On and the line cables are disconnected from the base unit. Once you set this mode please make sure to use the Talk button or the Speakerphone button to make calls, instead of the Cell button. If you would like to use the cell phone's phonebook we would advise transferring it to the Panasonic phone and it will become accessible from the landline phones Phonebook. Hope this helps! - S

Great Home Phone

I also truly enjoy the call block feature. I can select which numbers to block. It also calls out the number that is calling so if I am not near the phone to see the number, at least I can hear who is calling.
