Very expensive but worth the cost in terms of electrical savings and "shock and awe" at parties. It is extremely convenient and easy to use. You can even set a locator to turn on/off the lights when you arrive/leave your home. It also has a timer so you can have the lights turn on/off when you wake up/go to bed. The colors and schemes are endless and free apps make the lights go with the beat of the music. These lights set a high standard for college cocktail parties.

We bought a Philips Hue light bulb a few months ago and really liked how this power-saving LED could be set to display pretty much any color through a handy iPhone app. We liked it so much we bought more to put around the house -- in lamps in the living room, in bedrooms, in light fixtures in the kitchen. Now we can change the colors of our lights to suit whatever mood we want to achieve, or turn the lights on or off easily with our phones. Will definitely be buying these again when we decide to switch more light fixtures over!

These lights are very simple to set up, provide fantastic light in every color imaginable, and just plain cool. 2 minutes to set up and you're off and running.

OK, yes they are expensive...But, they are awesome. If you buy only a couple at a time and wait for sales at Best buy (they DO have them from time to time) You can eventually have the whole house set up. Speaking of set-up, it is relatively easy for even a novice. I do have suspicions however, that they take up a bit of the bandwidth if that is an issue for you. They work best if your home is primarily light colored walls, as you can completely have a new look whenever you want to by uploading any picture or color scheme that suits your mood and...Bam, new paint!

The only drawback to Philips Hue lighting is the endless thoughts of possibilities you'll have to endure on where and how to place them in your home. They create a comfort level unmatched by ordinary lighting as you can customize your living space based on outside events (weather, sports, etc) and how you feel at any given moment. From a quality assurance perspective, I haven't had one product die or malfunction in any way and the setup is easy.

My wife and I love our Hue system. We currently have a number of these bulbs, in addition to a Bloom and an Iris. These bulbs stay cool to the touch and can be placed anywhere. They can achieve so many colors and the app allows you to upload pictures to do color matching. All in all, we will continue to expand our Hue lighting to all the rooms in the house. We currently have it in the master bedroom, guest bedroom, living room, and kitchen.

I bought this HUE light system to set the mood of the house at different times. I love it during the CFB playoffs I was pulling for Ohio State and took a picture of their logo and the whole house was colored in Ohio State. The system has an app that is user friendly but as much as this system is I wish the app had better ease and more options for use. All said its a fun system to set up in a house to get out of the normal daily light.

I got this colored LED bulb to work with my starter set that I bought. I am toying around with home automation and wanted to try out some colors. You can use this with the program IFTTT, to turn lights colors if it's starts raining, or your favorite team scores a point, and so on. Lots of pretty colors!

Ok, I have gone a little crazy with the Hue lights, but they are so fun! I now have these bulbs in 5 lamps (along with a lot of Floods and a couple Blooms). They are super easy to setup; just screw them in and press the button on the hub. All of the lights were easy found and work appropriately.

These Hue lights are the best. I wish they were a little cheaper. I have 17 of them now. Easy to setup and to control. I wish Hue had some kind of a booster so I can use them on my patio. Somehow the bridge that I have does not reach that far.

If you're already a Philips Vue customer, these is an easy way to grow your collection. Set up is very simple, just plug the lightbulb into your lamp and press the connect button on the bridge from your starter kit. Couldn't be simpler.

I now have almost my entire home wired with these bulbs. They can be about any color you want, and all of my friends and neighbors complement me on how cool they are every time they stop over. A definite buy if you have the cash!

I bought these lights with the expectation I soon would be getting the Amazon Echo for my apartment. With these going on clearance, it was too good to pass up. The lights work amazingly with different colors but if you want to try and do a color in the green spectrum, it leaves some more desirable results. But with amazing red and blue and purple and pink and orange and everything else, these are really good lights.

Great gadget that will change the mood in a instant via your phone or iPad. Works with iOS or Android, because there is an app for it. Very simple to add lights and change the colors of a single light or a group of lights.

I've had a lot of fun with these bulbs in my house. I've found that I primarily use my Amazon Echo to control them now. I don't use the apps as much as I did when I first bought them. The only problem with the Amazon echo is that it cannot change the color. It can only turn them on and off and change the brightness. I've also started using the IFTT Apps to set conditions. It's pretty cool to have a lights change color when the weather is going to be bad, or when you get an email from a specific person. As more developers continue to write for it I'm sure the functions will get even better

what i like about Hue lights its that You dont get stuck with white light , with this You can choose any color , Uou can use dimmer, different apps to change colors im really happy with this product

Purchased a starter kit after watching a youtube video. Enjoyed so much I returned to purchase enough bulbs to finish my kitchen. I have now purchased enough bulbs to complete my home, inside and out.

I needed to add a light to my Hue system. It was extremely easy to do. Just purchased the light logged onto my Hue phone app and connected to my bridge. Worked perfectly the first time I used it.

I have a couple of these now and really enjoy the easy app that it comes with and the simple set up. It took me under two minutes to set it all up. Great product I'm getting more next month.
