These lights are a lot of fun to use for parties. I especially like using these lights with the Goldee app to create dynamic lighting in the evening.

These lights really set off the mood and set my parties apart from typical college parties. Only downside is that they are extremely expensive.

I initially just bought the starter pack, thinking these a novelty to play with in a lamp or two; however, as I used them more to have lights come on and turn off when I would leave the house, come back, set up as an alarm to wake me up in the morning or to simply entertain my 3 month old with changing colors, I purchased more. Now the majority of the lights in my house are controllable through my iPhone. The geofencing and timing features are quite useful, just wish the Philips run app was a bit more responsive, you can pay a few dollars for some on the App Store that can make your room light up like fireworks, just wish the primary app had a few more features.

The lights are responsive and take less than a second to update to "scene" chosen. The Hue API is now integrated into the Wink system and that provides even more integration into your smart home. With Wink and IFTTT, Hue is one the best lighting options you can add to your home.

I got this light to help me wake up in the morning before work and it works, I have sensitive eyes and the regular lights bother me a lot but with his I set it up on low and know I can get up with no problem and my eyes feel fine. Also help me to study to and my tv looks great.

...you will love this. got this at a discount when I bought the Harmony remote--so I said why not---actually really loved it and bought a few color bulbs & Iris to go along--do you need it Absolutely not--but will you use it & is it fun--for sure!

This is a must have in a smart home setup. It's not as bright as the ambient hue bulbs but it work well as a solo light in a small room. I use it in a small home office and have it set up to auto turn on at sunset and off when the day ends.

gadget lover and hobbyist will get the most out of these bulbs, the home automation associated with these hue bulbs is becoming quite extensive, everything from "iftt" to the amazon echo can be integrated with these bulbs,

But the extremely high cost per bulb makes a 5 star review just not doable for me.

These bulbs are great for mood lighting in any space. The perfect way to relax at the end of the day with soft blue or green light as a background instead of the usual harsh white light of traditional bulbs.

Make sure to check the size your housing will accept before buy to avoid frustration/ having to return later! Quality product, works as advertised. Syncs up to the system as easily as portrayed by Philips

I really love the Hue lighting. It changes the feel of the whole house. Bulbs easy to install with the three pack starter kit. Many apps available for preset lighting choices. You should go buy these NOW!

Works great with the starter kit. Not capable of producing deep blue or green.

I like the Hue system, it works well and allows for nice mood lighting, however they don't seem to be as bright as standard lights, but still not too bad. They still cost quite a bit, so replacing a large number of lights at once can be cost prohibited. They are a want at best, not something you would actually NEED. It's fun to have though, and they should last many many years.

I continue to add to my HUE system almost 2 full rooms out fitted with these lights. Easy to set up, plenty bright.

I love these lights!!!! I literally turned my house into the coolest lounge/nightclub. So many cool apps that make these lights so awesome!!!!

This system is used throughout my house and can be controlled with several phones for whatever lighting effects we want. Highly recommend it.
