I'd recommend this, nice colors easy to change with the app.

The product is super easy to set up. There are many apps for both apple and android that works extremely well. The system is not perfect, but I did win the neighborhood Halloween competition thanks to this product!

These are good for those looking to expand their Phillips Hue smart home with color. I ultimately exchanged these for the newer 3rd gen model because these were not able to achieve rich greens (for example) or yellow. All things considered, I recommend getting the newer bulbs for $5 more. You won't be disappointed.

I love the entire hue lights line up! I own about a dozen bulbs in three different rooms in my home. They change the whole atmosphere... Easy to connect, work great over wifi, and awesome for theater applications.

Install like any other bulb. There are lot of apps out there that will allow you to control the lights individually and in groups. Set the mood lighting for any desire with unlimited color choices.

Let me start by saying if you don't have any of these bulbs and are wondering why I should spend $40 on something i am used to spending about $5 for you probably aren't thinking big picture because these little beauties gives any room and/or house that WOW factor. I have about 7 of these in my theater room connected by a Philips bridge and with one push of a button on my universal remote all of my components come on and these Philips bulbs turn down and change colors to my mood setting color giving my entire basement the chill factor I desire. When used in conjunction with many of the apps that are out there there is literally no limits to the amount of fun you can have with these bulbs. Must buy!

My sister bought these lights for variety of reasons. cool thing is with me traveling a lot, I can set light/timer via my iPhone. You have to love advancement of technology. Very easy to manage.

Very nice item, works well with other HUE products

I use these with a music hue app in my living room. It is great for watching tv and want a more dramatic scene. I can't wait to be able to have the light change when the Buckeyes score. Worth the buy.

My husband installed these as recessed lights in my kitchen and we use the app to change the lighting according to our plans and mood for the day, adds a little extra to the room, we love them.

I have about a dozen of these installed in my house. Some rooms respond to motion, others to voice control. The light is programmable and I find it bright, natural, and easy to set up.

I needed lights that turn on and off each day whether i am there or not. philips hue is best and above all when my son has party they work as party lights and sync with music. Very happy with purchase will definite purchase more bulbs for different rooms Recommended to all who are interested in buying.

As I reach the conclusion of my home automation project (does it ever really end?), I know a great deal more than when I began. I saw this bulb on the shelf, and it was a few dollars less than the color A19s, so I bought it on a whim. It is subject to the same limited color gamut as the earlier A19s, so it's limited in its greens and blues. It is the only color bulb in my daughter's room, so there's nothing for it to compare unfavorably with in view. Also, the BR30 shape is a bit limiting. It casts very little light back toward the socket, and it has limited places it will fit. In my daughter's room, this bulb is in a desk lamp. It puts all the light above the shade, but it works very well as an accent light for her world map. If I had it to do over, I would have spent the extra $5 and gotten an A19, but you live and learn. I'm mostly pleased with it, and it is nice to have a little color in there both for decor and for signaling.

So I added these to a set of flood lights I have above the fire place. Pretty much the same colors as the other standard bulbs Phillips has. Only thing is the cost is a little high. Still worth it in my opinion if you are going for a connected home with color choices.

Discovered Phillips HUE a coupe of years ago. the notion of a WiFi remote controlled lightbulb was very appealing. The color aspect tipped the scale for me and I am in. $2,000 later and I am still sort of a believer. The latest bulb was the BR-30 that graces the overhang for my garage. Looks great, I can change the color themes to suit my mood. Not bad! Strong green is a problem and they are aware of it. The major pit fall with the product is the software application. In my case it is for iOS (iPad and iPhone). As I have two homes each with the lights, all is well as long as I am on the local network. Remotely, the Controller or Bridge says that it can not connect to the bridge. That is a big pitfall. The problem seems to be on their current version. Hoping the next version fixes the issue or else I will be selling a ton of Hue bulbs on eBay at a steep discount.

I have the Philip hue bulbs and I got these because my new place required recessed lighting bulbs. Easy to set up and they work great just like the regular bulbs.

These lights are too cool.....you can switch to pretty much any color and works with Amazon Alexa. Several cool apps out there as well to sync lights to music

I started with the "Philips - hue LED White and Color Ambiance A19 Starter Kit (2nd Generation) - Multicolor" for our kitchen. It took a little effort to get over the initial cost, but it is worth it. I now purchased 4 BR30 bulbs for our living room and love it. I have the Hue lights working together with our Nest, Google Home and IFTTT products. For security, the lights can go on and off on a schedule to simulate we are home, as well as come on automatically when we arrive home. We are also enjoying being able to control the lights and change colors on verbal commands.
