Bought this light strip to put under kitchen cabinets. Easy installation. Only downside with Hue light strips is that they are not designed to use the excess you may be cutting off the end to fit your application.

At first we didn't know you needed to purchase a bridge, but after that we set it up behind our tv and behind our entertainment system and it's great for football, movies, and video games. Easy to operate and install, adds a nice accent to the living room. Definitely worth it!

This thing is great, colors are amazing, control is right in line with the other color hue bulbs (the 3rd gen ones), and the light given off is pretty good, but not great. Honestly though, most people, like me, are going to use these light strips for accents, not necessarily as a primary light source. The only two complaints I have about there are fairly minor really. 1) I feel like it's too short.... I would really like for it to be longer OR for there to be longer extensions. 2) The adhesive on the back of the lights works great on some surfaces, but not all. Just make sure that, if you're sticking it to wood that it's not too porous or dusty. I know a few people, like myself, who had to use some extra adhesive to get them to stick. But overall, as functioning accent lights, they are fantastic.

The hue led strip lights are a great addition to my hue light setup i have one behind the TV and one on top of my kitchen cabinets.They are way too short for the money.If you find them on sale it makes it more bearable to buy.The sticky tape doesn't work that great so you will have to use some better tape if you want it to stick to most surfaces.

I love these lights, I've found more use for these around my house than the actual Hue bulbs. Under cabinet lighting. Headboard accent lighting. Hidden behind and under furniture. They're awesome, and bright. The only downside is the price and sizing. At roughly $80 per roll, they aren't cheap. And their fixed length makes them even more expensive when you have to cut one down to size - rendering the remaining length junk (unless you are a skilled soldering technician). Surely Philips could come up with a better way of making them more modular, without having to commit whatever excess as garbage when you trim it. With that said, I wouldn't recommend them at full price. Even I wouldn't buy them at full price and I love them. Wait until they go on sale.

I dig this thing. It's great for ambient light in the kitchen, place on my cupboards. The only issue is that it has a sticky back, so you can adhere it to things, and the tape that covers the sticky part really wants to come off, and I don't want it to! For now, I don't want it stuck to anything. Otherwise, a great addition to my Hue collection.

As anything else these things are extremely high priced. Bought this on black friday for $50 and still think it was way too much. Dont get me wrong the product is great. Extremely bright, insanely easy to connect to existing light hub, just very expensive.

Bought one of these strips on sale, and love it! It adds a great look to the room I have it in, and is really easy to install. The only improvement would be to add a bit stronger adhesive to the strip on the back.

I used light strip for 75" tv. Took minutes to install and configured with Logitech and Harmony hub. Love the fact you can adjust light brightness and colors. Makes TV picture pop. Perfect when watching TV at night.

Bought these for under my kitchen cabinets. Great lighting and really easy to install. Just drill a few holes, plug in, and add to the hue app and the work exactly as they should. Love the addition to our home.

Great light, awesome lumen and par but tad on the expensive side. Wish it would take corners better and come in longer size. The tape on the back dries up fast.

I decided to upgrade my lighting system in my bedroom. D installation of this unit was so simple I was amazingly impressed how easy it was to add to my Phillips lighting system. Awesome colors and brightness make my movie experiences even better than my old lIghting system. I hope in the future the cost of these units decrease as I would love to add more around the house. I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to add more color to their home.

The Hue light strip gives a great accent to other Hue lights in a room. I had bought one light strip and loved it so when I had a chance to get two more, I did. I suggest that you should have an idea where you want it to go but then the fun part of being creative with light might cause you to not know right away. The Hue light strip is very responsive to the app from my phone like all the other hue lights I have. HUGE NOTE - make sure whatever you are going to apply the light strip to is completely cleaned off. The 3M adhesive backing is all you have for placement and once that is gone then you might have to find less clean alternative ways to stick the light strip where you want it. Overall a great product.

Plug into the wall and power it on and fire up the ap on your phone and you are in control.. Simple as could be... Save money and Cool colors... or Just White. SIMPLE (Note Requires Base Hub Not included)

My entire house is recessed LEDs as is the kitchen, which also has under cabinet LED lighting. I wanted to do something for over the cabinets, island, pantry, fridge, etc. for the kitchen and searched around for good lighting that 1. was easy to install, 2. trustworthy, 3. allowed you to control by phone 4. dimmable and 5. had tons of colors, options....thus, the best reviews and advice from folks at Best Buy were the Philips Hue lightstrips. In a word 'awesome!' I had electricians install four additional outlets behind the fridge, main cabinets, pantry and inside the island. These LEDs actually have their own power source and plug in to the outlet and you control right from the app on your phone. You buy the Philips HUB and physically hardwire an ethernet cord to the router - that's how all the lights talk on your wifi. As soon as you plug them in, the app finds them on your wifi network and you can call each zone whatever you'd like (i.e .island lighting, over fridge lighting, etc.). You can control each zone separately or all together and the app, in addition to the millions of color choices it has for you, also has tons of themes for you to just click and done....i.e. light blue over some, light green over others sort of like an aquatic scene. They cost a little more than other LED strips but these are the best ones and even your electrician will tell you that. You can do all of this yourself in minutes as they stick to everything and are so easy to install, however, I had electricians do it as I needed more outlets based on where I wanted them placed. Highly recommend these!

If you can catch these on sale, or with a promotion then I would highly recommend grabbing a few -- because one just won't be enough. They are very bright, and are pretty easy to use. The colors are amazing. Only con I would say is that the adhesive does not stick very well. This isn't a problem because staples, or another tape/glue will work just fine. Highly recommend putting these behind/around bedframes and wall paintings.

Bought this as a new addition to my smart home. Love it! Quite shorter than I expected but love it regardless. Lights light up my kitchen without having to use the kitchen florescent light bulbs.

This was my second Phillips hue purchase and I am very pleased with the light strip plus!! I already had the bridge and one bloom, purchased the light strip to go above the picture window in our living room. They fit very nicely on top of the window molding and haven't came loose yet. I did go over the molding with a rag and alcohol to be sure it was completely clean. They really set off the room while watching movies, especially since I can dim them or change colors to match the movie theme. I did get a second bloom to fill in the other corner of the living room, makes for a very nice set up. NEVER had one problem with setting any of the Hue products up and everything stays paired. Will buy more and highly recommend the Hue system!!!

These lights seem to be great for the most part. I dont know If I got a defective set because everytime the plug is touched the lights turn off until the plug is moved and then it gets better. If you buy this, make sure you have the hub, otherwise they wont be controllable. If you want to sync your lights to music like advertised on the box, you have to connect to a third party app which is tedious and costs extra money. Unless you are leaving them a single yellow solid color these can be frustrating for the price, but kind of worth it? (I placed the lights behind my desk, you can see the lights in the back of my laptop)

Put this behing my TV and it really sets the mood, out of all the hue lights I have this one is the most vibrant and dramatic as far as color and brightness. Just wish they were not so pricy.
