The Dimmer and switch is perfect when very tired at night and don't want to get my phone from charger to shut down all lights at home.

So for the longest time, I was trying to find a light where I didn't need to drill holes for cords. And not need just a phone to use. Found this and it was perfect. Wireless switch, can bring with you. And connect to a phone if needed. The light can change colors depending on your mood and can really light up a dark home.

I'm resistant to the whole house connectivity but we kept running into an issue of a hallway light. Leaving it on to see down the hallway was too bright and if we went to bed and forgot to turn it off, going into the hallway wakes everyone up. I didn't want to commit to the full hub and multi light system Philips has because it seemed like too much for our issue. Luckily, the salesman remembered this one bulb and a remote set and brought it to us. It has solved our issue AND given us extra benefits such as adjustable light type and dimming options. I enjoyed this much more than anticipated and as our needs change, this experience would make me lean towards expanding on the smart lighting options that are available.

These lights are awesome. With my google home, my iPhone and related I have the beauties enlightening my home. Wonderful feature are the recipes. I have a sleep that awakens me with a nice soothing hue and brightness. But in the afternoon it's bright white. Nice.

I purchased Google Home and wanted to try automating my home lighting. To use this with Home, I also needed the Hue hub which I purchased with another kit. I also purchased Smarththings in order to create routines for when we come and go. Everything was easy to install and set up. If you are adding multiple bulbs it can be confusing because they are numbered. I had to go around and turn them on and off in the app to identify them. To use the controller you can assign the bulbs that it controls through the app. This was helpful in my garage because the main switch would operate 6 lights. Most of the time I would only need two. I use the controller to control the two lights and the rest are on another controller. I did have one controller lose connection but the app fixed the problem.

Highly recommend this product. Easy access light switch!

This will be my 6th purchase of Phillip's Hue light switch and bulb combo. Every room except my kitchen and bathrooms has Phillip's bulbs and switches. Our family loves how we can control all our light from the switches, phones or Amazon Echos/Dots. We can program the switches for movie settings or reading with a couple of presses. There are several preset light modes for everything from reading to relaxation My wife gave me bad time about buying the 1st Hue light bulb, but now she misses them when we go out of town on vacation or stay over at family's house. She has her own switches on her night stand and in her home office so she can adjust her office lights or night stand light. The Hue system has made our life better

i've gotten a few hue bulbs but its annoying to dig out my phone to turn on the lights, so i got this to take care of that. on button, off button and some dimmer up/down buttons. out of the box the switch was setup for the bulb that came with it, but got it setup with the hub and i'm good to go.

This device was a great addition to our 4-light color starter kit. This light was placed in our office, then reprogrammed the switch for controlling the kitchen lights. Reprogramming was as simple as having the serial number off the light in order to tell the Hue app to control it. This was necessary as it is a plug in play unit straight out of the box. Such that, you need to tell it to not talk to each other (light to switch). Instead you need it to talk to the bridge, and then device to device through the app. It was quick, painless and a pleasure to use. Will be buying more.

After completing our last motion sensor project, my wife wanted to have more light in the laundry room because the fixture only had one bulb. Also, we needed a dimmer switch for our kitchen lights. I used this kit to complete the projects. I already have a Philips Hue Hub which you need to connect or pair the devices. Both the light and dimmer switch connects to the Philips Hue Hub really easily using the phone app for iOS. Works the same way with Android. This kit is great for beginners or if you're adding on to your smart home. Really easy to setup, reliable and just works.

I'm giving this four stars because I am a little disappointed I can only control two rooms with this switch. My basement has four distinct sections in it and I was hoping to be able to control all four with the wall switch. I ended up buying two of these in splitting the basement into two sections to allow this functionality. Whoever aside from the limitation of amount of rooms or lights this can control, it functionally works very well. One press on the on button turns the lights lights onto their last state, a second price of the light button turns the lights on to a predetermined scene and so on. This is a cool function and helpful if you're constantly changing the light scenes. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to be able to turn on and off a group of lights but if you want more control skip this and just get your phone out!

An amazing idea by the company. Adds so much flexibility and creativity to your home with such convenience and simplicity. The remote sticks to the wall so cleanly people would just think it was built into the home.

I added these to the set I already have I love being able to manage them from my phone and automating the use.

I purchased this mainly for the wireless dimmer switch. The backing plate has two small adhesive strips on the back to attach it to a wall. I attached it to a blank wall plate and despite the small adhesive, it has held strong with no wiggling. The smaller raised control rectangle does pop-out like a small remote, but are held in with a mix of magnets and friction fit, so it isn't obvious it comes out to guests.

The remote can be setup to control the hue color lights as well, which was my main concern. Works great
