Pretty disappointed - this was my third. I had purchased two of the 7000 series before purchasing this one. Both of the 7000 series broke with in a couple months. I though maybe the more expensive version would be of better quality. No, they all have the same attachment system for the head. The head is held to the body of the razor by a cheap box-shaped wire that eventually wears out the plastic groove on the head that holds it in place, and the wire will loosen up as well. The result is that after a couple/few months of taking the head on and off to use the trimmer attachment, the head will fall over off multiple times while trying to shave. It just gets worse and worse until it's absolutely unusable. It's a shame because otherwise it's a very decent razor. Philips just needs to make a simple clamp system to hold it in place rather than a cheap friction release. It's just a poor design. I'll never buy any of the Philips razors similar in design until they modify it because it's just a waste of money (luckily mine were all under warranty through Best Buy).

I've been using a Norelco triple-header for decades. I bought this one almost a year ago, since the advertising was that it was great, the reviews were excellent, and to have the guts to offer it at such a high price, it had to be good, or so went my thought process. I have to say that this is the worst shaver I have ever had, without question or hesitation, and I dearly wish I would have returned it within the refund period, but I figured for such a high price, it had to be ME, not the product. Wrong, it is the product. The shaves are not at all close, and if you press against your face too hard, the head will come off, dropping on the floor, and the heads (which are very poorly held in place by plastic fasteners that do not do their job) will scatter all over. In fact, the shaves I get with this product are not even as good as the ones I get with my older $39 Norelco triple-header. Be warned if you are thinking about spending big money for this, assuming it will be that much better -- it won't be and you will regret the purchase, as I do.

I'm pretty happy to have purchased a new PHILIPS NORELCO razor during the holidays. I just started using it and so far so good. The last PHILIPS NORELCO razor that I purchased must have been at least 10 years ago and will still charge up to 132 minutes! The only problem over time is that part of the razor head was being held together by scotch tape (after a fall a while ago) and the recharging cord is so old that most of the plastic coating, around the wires themselves, have flaked off over time...but it still fully charges the razor to 126 - 132 minutes. It's incredible! I can only hope this razor lives up to the one that I'm finally "retiring".

    Did Not Shave My Beard

On my first shave with this product on 8/31/2018, I was quite disappointed. Before shaving, I trimmed my beard with the trim head provided. That worked very well and is the only reason why this review is not 1 star. I attempted a wet shave with gel and it only trimmed my beard while using the shave head. I went over the same spots multiple times in a circular motion and did not get rid of it. I had to clean up my face with a razor blade. Luckily I kept my Gillete Fusion Proglide. Will try another shave but I thought this was suppose to get rid of hair, not just trim. Overall opinion: Would not reccomend and considering to return it.

ok, finally needed to break down and get a shave that i can use in the shower, which is where i actually shave, or shave dry at the sink if not in the shower. This razor self cleans and then dries, stunning. The heads are expected to last about a year at around $50 to replace. The 3-pack of cleaning solution that i already ordered was $10. The shave itself is quite an improvement over the old shaver. The instructions say that I must wait 21 days for my face to adjust, but so far, no issues. Comes with a side burn edge attachment and a traveling case.

I wouldn't say this necessarily shaves better than the 5500 that I had prior to this, but it does get there much more quickly. I shave my entire head with these devices and with the 5500 it took several passes to get a clean shave where as the 9300 takes one pass and maybe a quick pass through a couple patches where I may have gone through to quickly. It saves me 5+ minutes every morning over the 5500, which doesn't sound like much on paper, but it's a huge difference in practice. As far as shaving my face, the 9300 does a bit better on the neck than lower models but overall unless you have extremely dense beard growth I think you'd be better served with a series 5000 or 7000 in terms of cost:performance.

I have used Norelco products as far back as the 60's. The 9311 delivers a very clean smooth shave. In addition to the face and neck, I am totally bald and use it to shave my head with outstanding results whether it is a wet or dry shave. I appreciate the options for personal settings as the contours areas shaved are varied as is the growth and coarseness of the hair itself. Once again, the quality of the shave is excellent. Running it through the cleaning system after each use contributes to the quality of the shave. As I said, I cover a lot of varied area and have gotten consistent results.

I bought my husband this shaver because its the only one he will use. He has gone through so many and none of them make his face feel as smooth as this one. He has to shave everyday because he is in the military and he has never liked the disposable razors. He has bought this one once before but it finally died after having it for 3 years, it just wouldn't charge anymore but this new one comes with an extended warranty if you register it within a couple days of receiving your product though Philips and a coupon for half off more solution you need to keep the product in clean working order.

I have had less expensive versions from norelco and they gave an adequate shave. My last one was dying and replacing the battery was almost the cost of a new one so i went shopping. Got this one on sale and used points to make it cheaper. But the shave i get from this razor is soo much better that i would highly recommend the upgrade. I can go 2 days and it gives me a smooth shave without burn or itching. Its quiet and powerful. The cleaning base works well too. Only negative is that the trimmer isn't attached so you have to keep it somewhere and switch heads to use it.

I have owned other philips shavers in the past so stayed with the brand. I was surprised that this model seems to be a lot better quality than the less expensive models. It is very quiet and seems very powerful. My first couple of shaves have been comfortable and close than the one it replaced even though the old one had new blades. Haven't used the cleaning system yet so not sure about it. Only negative i see so far is you have to be careful about not tilting the cleaning base or it may spill. Should be better sealed to prevent that.

The Philips Norelco 9300 gives a great shave quick. I used it to shave my head, both dry and in the shower. For a quick shave it works great. However, before this I used a Mach 3 blade so I'm used to a nice smooth shave; the 9300 left me feeling like I hadn't shaved in a couple days. If you just want a quick comfortable shave and don't expect a razer close shave than the 9000 series is a high end shaver that will deliver and the flexibility is excellent.

Gives a really quick shave, battery lasts a long time. The cleaning system is okay but an unnecessary gimmick in my view. I prefer the old "flip top" way of rinsing out shaved whiskers so I can see it's clean, but it seems that just holding it under running water works okay. Would prefer a built in trimmer rather than a separate trimmer head, but again, it works okay. Overall a good shaver, but I'd be hard pressed to pay this much for one again as it is only incrementally better than the old one it replaced that cost much less.

I've had Norelco shaves for the last 15 years. So I knew which brand I was interested in. It was just s matter of what model to get. The last Norelco I had, came with a base charger and cleaning station and I liked that. So I decided to go with the same style. This shaver is a little more advanced than the one I purchased 8 or 9 years ago. This one has the independent floating heads and gives a closer shave that is more effortless than my old one. Very satisfied, even though it was a bit pricey.

I've been a fan of Norelco razors for a long time. As a result, I've tried them all. They continually improve on the quality of the shave and the products. I clean mine daily, so stock up on the cleaning solution. Expert Hint: If you are looking to buy one, this model has the same heads and all the features of the most expensive 9700 model. There are a couple of cosmetic differences, like the digital readout on the razor and on the cleaning device, but you won't miss them and you will save some $$$.

I've had this shaver for about a month. Since not all shavers work for every face, you need to find the right one for you. I'm white with fairly thick facial hair and this one is perfect for me. Took a few shaves before really showing it's worth, but that's typical with a new shaver. The charging station is a bit bulky, but cleans very well. One downside I see is the cost of replacement shaver heads. I've read mixed reviews these last between 3-8 months so plan accordingly.

    Cleaning System Does Not Work

Have had this shaver for almost 2 months. The shaver itself works as it should. Really don't care for the separate attachment for beard trimming. The cleaning unit did not work properly. It would not go into the dry mode, and I would always have a soaked shaver. Philips sent me a replacement. The replacement will not clean, and is stuck in the dry mode. Have not received the 3rd replacement as of yet, and Philips customer service has not responded for over a week. Cannot recommend this product.

This Philips Norelco shaver is absolutely wonderful. The shaver glides smooth across my face without ripping out facial hairs. This unit is very quiet. It shaves closer where I need it to than previous shavers. All the reviews I read before this purchase said to get the foil raser but I took a chance and bought this one and I’m glad I did. Please follow directions on how to use it and you will be impressed. Very happy with this purchase so far.

First off, my previous Norelco was a like $70 and I had it for 3 years, so I wanted a durable one again. This is super durable and I love I can rinse it and use it in water. I wanted one with a cleaning system, and some more features, which this has as well. It's nice knowing if the battery is low or not and it shaves my face even better then my last one. Definitely glad I stepped up my razor game! Love the travel case too!

Great shaver, but not so good for shaving head. I cut my hair down to 0, than I used the electric shaver every single day to maintain a clean head. I cleaned it as I was using it and it was doing well for about a couple of weeks, but that’s it, the blades got dull really quick. Love how the charging kit cleans the unit and everything about it. But not ideal for shaving your head.

I have used Remington foil razors for some time. At the strong suggestion from my fiance I took the plunge and bought this even though it cost 3 times what I'm used to paying for a razor. I dont regret it. The ease of use and closeness of the shave is great. Also the charging dock cleans as well. The cleaning fluid does not last as long as I would like tho.
