Amazing comfort. I had a pair of turtlebeach X12's (not good), and wanted to step up to something with 7.1, and better sound quality. Looked at many of the popular pairs but none of them "hit home" with me, was planning on getting the Sennheiser gaming headset, but came across these. I put them on, and immediately picked up the box to purchase.
7.1 simulation is pretty good, not great. It enhances my experience in racing games, and FPS, but I don't turn it on for every game.
Sound itself is fantastic. I'm very picky. Good even response all the way down to about 100hz, where we see some wavering. between 40Hz-80Hz, it feels overly compressed, but it's there.
The build quality feels ok, not great, but better than most sub $100 headsets. Shortish cable.
I would highly recommend these based on their performance and price.

Headset is comfortable with my glasses & has way better audio quality than my old headset. With my last set I had to have volume at 30 just to hear a phone call, with this one I'm max at 6. I wear them for work 10 hours a day & my ears don't hurt <3

Love the look and feel of this headset. Quality can be found in both the sound heard through the 40mm speakers and spoken through the plastic swivel mic boom. I had no problems being heard clearly by my friends with no background noise. Also with the headset on, I can still hear sounds around me so I am not deaf to the world. Since the headset covers my ears completely and has soft fabric cushions, wearing it for long sessions was not uncomfortable. The 7.1 virtual surround sound is hard to hear at first, but after playing the right games and remembering to set the sound settings correctly for each game, I can definitely tell the difference! Even when listening to music the sound is more full. Finally, the controls located directly on the left speaker makes it easy to adjust the volume, mute the mic, or toggle the surround sound.
Some notable negatives: The plastic arch on top of the headset does feel like it could break over time. In fact, I read plenty of reviews claiming theirs broke and seen a youtube video of someone who actually broke it accidentally when they smacked their headset in frustration while playing a game. The USB cord has no 3.5mm analog jack so you can't use this with your phone or mp3 player. The USB cord is kinda short. The software that you have to install in order to use the virtual surround sound is very basic and doesn't allow you to adjust the treble and bass sound levels. And finally, the bass sounds are not as strong as I'd like them to be.
Overall, this is an attractive middle-tier headset with virtual surround sound that actually works. Just handle it with care. I would definitely recommend it if you can get it at a discounted price.

I got this headset for $29 on sale and can't believe how nice these are. Very comfortable and nice sound. These can be extremely loud if you don't adjust the setting in your pc

I purchased these headphones for the sole purpose of communicating while gaming. I use them for World of Tanks, Planetside 2, and Warthunder as well as others that i don't communicate in but enjoy the dolby 7.1 audio. You can't get a better more comfortable headset for the price. Anybody who says these sound rotten doesn't know how to adjust their volume or in game controls properly because when done right, the sound is awesome. The only thing i see which may be a concern to some is that the mic doesn't revolve around for right side use. But i fail to see what difference that would make to anyone.

This gaming headset was my first by Plantronics. I have to say that I am blown away by the build quality. The turn-flat ear cup hinges make it easy to store at your computer desk. I have a larger-than-normal head, and these are quite comfortable. The cups are on-ear, and very well cushioned. The cons: simulated 7.1 sound with two drivers leaves a bit to be desired, but in routine stereo use, this headset is more than adequate. Overall, I am not disappointed in this purchase.

First off things I like: they are fairly heavy duty meaning well made and not flimsy, nice comfortable foam padding for the ears and does not at all hurt my head while wearing glasses, they have ample adjustment for larger heads, they do muffle some of the room noise but you canhear someone talking to you, I use these mainly for gaming and the sound quality is very good I would say for the price and not bad for listening to music either (I have never tried anything more expensive so I can't compare to a higher price pair), as for the mic I have been told it is clear and easy to hear what I am saying, overall I really like this headset.
Now a few things I do dislike : with the foam padding for the ears I can wear them for long periods of time however they will get a tad warm over extended wear times, the mic is on the left hand side and so is the cord it would have been nice if the mic could rotate so you could have the cord on the right side instead (reason being for me is that my computer is on my right and the cord has to come across my body) also the cord is only 6 feet long and for me it's fine but for some a longer cord may be better.
Over all It did take maybe 10 to 15 minutes to get them set and programmed but nothing to difficult. I gave this 4 stars because they can not be fitted for right side use other wise it would be 5 stars.

These things sound great. Everything is crisp and clear. I'm hearing sounds in games that I didn't realize were there with my old headphones. As they fit over my ears, they're comfortable to wear. They have a nice, sturdy build quality. The microphone picks up my voice well. If I had to criticize one thing, it would be that the bass isn't great. It's good, but if a top-notch deep booming bass is important to you, these might not be the right headphones for you. I use them mostly for computer gaming, so they are perfect for my needs.

Picked this up a few weeks ago and I use it for PC gaming. The sound quality is very good, and it's comfortable for extended play times. My only issue with it is that you can only connect it with USB. So if you were hoping to use it for your Xbox One (along with a Y adapter), you're out of luck.

They sound great and have different options for you to choose from. They are very comfortable. The ear pads get dirty fast. The quality is okay. The plastics are pretty flimsy. They can break pretty easy if you're not careful with them. Even though I got mine on sale, the price itself is pretty good compare to other headset at this price range.

Well, let me begin by saying this is my first non - turtle beach headset
This one is definitely worth every penny, and it is all that many pennies to begin with. The sound quality is very good, I mean really good. The surround sound works wonders when gaming.
Most importantly the headset fully cups my ears and that is very important. I can honestly say I have never wore headphones/headset this comfortable.

I've had my fair share of gaming headsets over 20 years. Overly expensive, kind of expensive ect. They all have one thing in common, non of them make 2 years. However I have had 2 sets of these and for the price and quality there hard to beat. Sound great, comfortable and built sturdy. Grab them , you can't lose.

I bought the 788 after having a 780 for a while. Both work great but since i have a large head, it can be a bit tight. Overall, the sound is great and the software works wonderfully. I highly recommended you give the 788 a shot if you need a good USB headset.

These replaced Plantronics that I really liked, and there aren't a huge number of headphones available with USB connection. Sound is good, and I like the mute and volume switches on the muff instead of the cord. For my box, just plugging them in changes speaker output to them, which is handy. My only complaint is that when new, they are not really comfortable enough to wear for a long length of time.

These are a really phenomenal set of headphones. Surround sound is crisp and creepy; scares the heck out of you when something comes up behind you in a game or movie. Music is great. One problem I have is with Skype. The headphones don't seem to work with Skype calls or other PC related calls such as Google Hangouts. I don't understand why and even after a driver upgrade they still don't work. I think it has something to do with the headphones using the USB plug instead of the speaker/mic jacks on the PC.

I am really happy with the sound quality from the 7.1 surround playing Battlefield 4 and my friends say the mic sounds very good.
At first they are not that comfortable but after having them for a while now they do feel better but I think Plantronics could really improve on this. They seem to squeeze against your ears too much.
