Customers regard the hub's wide array of ports, compatibility with Apple MacBooks, portability, and user-friendly design as its main advantages. They appreciate the inclusion of an SD card reader and the sleek design. However, some users have concerns about the short cable length, insufficient power supply for certain devices, overheating issues, and the hub's size.

Works well since the new Mac Books have USB ports that require adapters for older devices. Also works well as a hub to minimize connections.

At the time of making this review the item has gone to full price (I bought it at 50) but I still stand by the fact that this dock is amazing! Everything stays connected and never loses its connection, has all the ports I need, and excellent build quality. When I’m using it for classes it’s always responsive. The only problem I can see (this goes for all docks) is that when keeping these in for days at a time messes up the charging port and have to reset the SMC now this is not a problem since it doesn’t make a permanent issue.

I thought this would be inconvenient because of the cord but it actually doesn’t bother me at all whether I’m sitting in bed or at the desk.

Epic fail that my 2019 Macbook Pro 16" doesn't have at least one freaking regular USB port and maybe even a micro-SD slot. This solves that problem but it sucks we have to use these stupid things. Almost guaranteed I will forget to bring this with and need to transfer some files. This is Apple's fault.... same goes with the headphone jack now missing on their phones. I will NEVER buy a phone without one.

Bought for new MacBook Pro. One major reason for buying is that it has an Ethernet Port.

I hate having to many cables and adapters hanging from the computer. This compacts everything and it has so many ports. Great use !

Bought this when I bought my MacBook Pro 16. I wanted a dongle that had Ethernet, hdmi, and USB A. This has them all plus SD card slots.

Ive been using this everyday for about 8 months. The cable is starting to go on it and requires jiggling to get working. Fully extended out from the macbook, it's about 9" which is too big for my work area. This requires constant bending, which reduces the life. I expect to have to replace this soon.

So it functions as promised, but there are a couple features I don't care for, I had to mark a T for the top where it plugs in to the MacBook Pro, as it will not operate correctly (does not charge the MacBook) if plugged in upside down. I also don't like that it takes both ports and has a short little cord that makes it cumbersome to have on my desk. The biggest issue I have is the MicroSD port is counterintuitive to the direction the disc goes in, and it will allow you to insert it upside down, but jams. I broke one SD card trying to remove it, so going forward I use the adapter to a standard SD converter to prevent problems going forward. Also expected more from an Apple Authorized product. Too bad Apple doesn't make their own.

This is a pretty mundane peripheral device. But when needed, it is very useful. Works and does what it is supposed to do. Have not had any problems so far, but have not yet utilized every port, though I don't see any reason why others would not work.

Very happy with this. It does what the description describes. I have a monitor connected via HDMI and two hard drives. No issues regarding solid connections to each peripheral. I use it with a MacBook Pro M1 and successfully used it with a 2018 MacBook AIR. I like the cable attachment compared with similar hubs that attach flush with the MacBook series because of less stress on the computer when pugging and unplugging devices. Very nice.

I have to say I thought that I was paying too much but, like the good old saying is said "you get what you pay for" I compared it with another one that I have and this one is just 10 times better. The download speeds are way better, much faster. I tried the speed test on my new MacBook pro 16' with a micro SD and my 2TB Sandisk SSD and even my 8TB WD hard drive, always faster downloads with this devise. Highly recommended with out a doubt.
