So I got this for one thing and one thing only. Installing an OS on it. It's running perfectly and had no issues with it at all and it's working very nicely. Boots up in 7 seconds. No failures either so that's a good thing.....Not much to say after that. It doesn't come with a 3.5 tray thing so if your tower doesn't support SSD sizes then might want to consider getting it.

Quick and easy install, comes with software that works like a charm. Just copy and boot up the new drive. Went from a bigger drive to a smaller boot drive and it was perfect fit for my needs. I would highly recommend it for anyone partially technically competent. You take the back off and hook up some cables,run the software, and your good to go.

Well made product. Replaced my desktop C: drive with it , improved performance for many tasks - startup is faster, as are other tasks that involve a lot of C: drive access. Installed easily. Recommend the $9.99 adapter bracket for installing in a desktop - it will make it easier (unless you have an assortment of spare brackets and some mechanical skills.)

Inexpensive SSD, have purchased four PNY drives and they all work great. Read speed is good, write speeds a little slow but you will probably never notice. I try to purchase all my computer drives locally. For some reason I've had better luck with retail over OEM drives purchased online.

The bonus Acronis software made cloning my old HDD to New SSD a breeze. Went from a 500 Gb HDD to this 240 SSD. Normally you need to have a higher capacity drive, since I was only using 170Gb of my 500 Gb HDD it worked out perfectly. Start up is now 10 seconds instead of 2 min. Plus PNY is made in the USA! Buy it, it's realable, quick, and a quality product.

I would give 5 stars except for the crummy Acronis software they offer. This software is ostensibly to transfer the hard drive image, but genuinely, without a doubt and truly, stinks, we're talking 3 day old in the sun fish here. Having worked with it a couple of times, I'd say its more of a come on to try to sell the full version. For a desktop, a 3.5 in adapter makes a neater job. Microsoft is harder than ever to get your activation keys back if not handy, but it can be done. Personally, I enjoy such challenge. The upshot is lightning fast boot up and shut down. Eventually, you'll break even on the hours you spent changing. It's a project for an experienced computer fiddler though. Don't let 'em sell you on the easy Acronis image transfer nonsense, you'll have to do it yourself. Back up your stuff and prepare for a project. Oh, and the SSD is pretty slick.

Completely happy with this purchase. I have used PNY flash drives for a while for Acronis True Image. I expect the HD to be just as reliable.

This SSD makes an excellent upgrade for older or more casual use systems. The price is VERY affordable and the performance is well above standard HDD. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Not as high performance as some other brands but it's definitely a good value buy as a performance upgrade to any desktop or laptop. Note to Best Buy: It would be smart if you offered mounting brackets for purchase in the store for those of us wanting to install these in desktop PC's that are designed for 3.5" drives. You're making your customers puchase brackets from online retailers or local competitors that also sell SSD drives, often at the same price points. So if I need to wait for a bracket to be shipped to me, why not just order the drive from the same place I get the brackets? Think about it...

This is a really good ssd drive. Really improved my laptop performance. I do have issues with the transfer backup software. I could not get the license to work.

Great cheap drive, very fast as a boot drive in my desktop pc.

Bought a couple of new desktop computers for our office. Lots of RAM but also with SATA III drives. S-L-O-W-W-W. Bought two of these drives thinking they'd improve performance at least a little, and the price was definitely right. Cloned the SATA drives to these, fired them up and cut boot times from 71 seconds down to 14 seconds. Unbelievable!
