I have purchased several of these drives because the price was just too low to pass on. I am currently use one on my hand me down laptop from one of my customers. I run an I.T. company. The laptop fires up quicker than newer laptops with better motherboards. This drive gets it done.

Bought this to refurbish a PC with an ancient WD Velociraptor. I did a fresh WIN 10 install. It was instantly recognized, boots up quickly and no problems at all so far. Very cost effective, particularly if you are using only for boot and selected programs, not storage. Recommended.

I'm updating all of my desktops and laptops with solid state drives. I've used this same model in various capacities in several machines. Some older devices that are to run Windows 7 required a separate driver to be loaded, but Win 8.1 and 10 installers recognize the drives right away.

I installed this drive in my daughters Dell XPS 14 and replaced a mechanical drive. The included Acronis software made cloning the old system an easy task. The PC boots considerably faster and applications open almost instantly. My local Best Buy had this in stock. Highly recommended.

Good solid upgrade from mechanical drive, great read/write rates. Running in Kabini 5150 system, 540 read/490 write. Nothing to complain about, would recommend for the price. 3 year warranty included. Not going to outrun a Samsung EVO, but for the price difference still worth the money!

Used included Acronis software to clone existing hard drive to the PNY solid state drive. Swapped original hard drive SATA cable with newly cloned PNY drive. My Dell XPS 8900 started from the PNY drive just fine. It continues to boot much faster, which is why I purchased it!

I bought this to use as my main drive - I needed to reinstall Windows anyway, so I moved the installation to this one and it's been running perfectly fine ever since. Fast, per any good SSD. I don't keep many files on it but the OS, so it should hopefully last me a while.

I was unsure about purchasing this ssd, because of the price, but decided to take a chance. I installed it in my MacBook Pro it has increased the speed on my computer. I loved this hard drive, so I purchased two more (480gb) ssd and installed them into two other MacBooks.

Thanks to the Geeks I now have this new solid state hard drive in my computer, it is running at at least twice the speed!! They installed and and put everything from the old one on the the new drive and spent time helping me when they were done Thanks Richard

Bought this SSD to replace the OS hard disk on my desktop PC. The performance was day and night better. The start-up time is now only 30-40 seconds while it took several minutes with the old hard drive. Loading of softwares were also much faster. Complete satisfactory!

I recently built a computer and needed an SSD to put my OS on. This worked with out a hitch and is still working superbly. PNY is always an underrated brand but in reality they make the same great products as some of the higher end brands and work flawless for me.

I couldn't passed up this deal. I got it and put it in my 02 dell computer to help it run faster with some added RAM. It runs like a new computer now, so I put it in my dad room so he can read the news, browse the web, check email, watch youtube and typical daily use.

This is a great SSD. I have used it often to install an OS and transfer it to another computer numerous times. The performance is great and it is durable too. I actually dropped the drive the other day and then installed it in a server and it kept on running like new.

Installed easy. Worked as expected. Laptop ran alot better after I installed the ssd hard drive. Great price.

It's been a solid drive thus far, and performance is as expected. The physical height profile on this disk drive's case is very low, even for an SSD. It's close to 1/8th inch thinner than traditional 2.5" form factor hard drives, but the package includes a plastic spacer (i.e. stabilizer) for use in drive cages or laptop drive bays which are older and expecting that taller profile. Figuring out whether you need the spacer or not can be a bit of a crapshoot. Though the adhesive on the spacer will come off, I recommend dry fitting your SSD first and then determining whether there is a gap in your installation and whether the spacer will fit, prior to adhering the spacer to the drive the moment you open the box. Bundled with the item is a version of Acronis' True Image product for doing backups, migrations, and disk cloning. Now, I like the True Image product a lot, and previously used many different Acronis products in both the home, and professionally for work; however, what was bundled was insufficient. It's what I might call teaser-ware. It provided some of the features of the main true image product, but not all of them, without paying for an additional license. For the migration that I intended to do from an existing 2.5" magnetic/mechanical (spinning) hard disk drive to this SSD, the most important thing that was lacking was the ability to create a boot disk in order to do a clean image outside of the OS, and then be able to boot to a an interface that would allow me to deploy that image on to the new SSD once I had installed it. Granted, there are ways to get around that, but that is my preferred method. Therefore, rather than using the Acronis software, I ended up just using the totally freeware from Macrium to complete my migration.

I like this fast unit. I use it for just my basic computing, all files are on the D drive now. If I get hit with ransomware again, there won't be much to ransom. Not much on my C drive, nada. That is one of my reasons, but the best reason is it's fast.

This SSD works great and is very fast. It was easy to install with a kit I bought to transfer files.

I've had this SSD for over a month, it's been working without any flaws. The writing and reading speed are pretty good. Windows OS turns on in seconds. The same for most of my programs (many of them turn on immediately). An amazing product for the price.

Great high speed solid state drive for running your operating system. Didn't come with a bracket for internal desktop installation though, and Best Buy didn't carry them either. I was forced to buy one online unfortunately, but the drive itself was great.

Bought to replace a failed hard drive in a laptop. It was cheap and sped up my computer a lot. If this hadn't been on sale when I purchased it, I probably would have purchased the much faster CS2211. This drive is perfectly fine for my use case though.
