Speed up processing of video . I installed this in my 2009 MacBook Pro because processing of video was taking so long.

Here's my review for the PNY CS1311 120gb SSD: http://reviews.bestbuy.com/profiles/3545w/ATG28140462086/profile.htm I originally bought a PNY CS1311 120gb SSD for my desktop and loved it so much I decided to upgrade my laptop with their CS1311 960gb SSD and this 960gb SSD is just as great as their smaller SSD just with more capacity. I didn't use the Acronis software since I prefer to do fresh installs on new drives but I've heard mixed reviews on how well the Acronis software works. But I had no problems installing Windows 10 using a USB recovery drive with the process taking 30-40 minutes to complete. Read my PNY 120gb SSD review for tips on how to install your SSD since I'm not gonna reprint the steps here. Anyway, this 960gb SSD is really fast when you consider that this is an entry level SSD. Compared to my regular 1TB HDD this SSD is 3 times faster in overall read/write speeds as you can see in my pictures. And as for the other benchmarks the 960gb SSD is up to a 150 times faster than a standard HDD. Now your own speeds may vary compared to mine depending on your computer specs and set up. I would not hesitate to buy this product again or recommend it to a friend. It's just a really good, economically sound SSD.

I replaced an older generation PNY 480GB drive with this one. Both are in my desktop with the 960GB as the main drive now. I ran a benchmark while I had a few applications running and the speed is very impressive. I can't comment on longevity since I've only had the drive for a number of days now. It's nice to see the price per GB dropping on SSD now at a decent rate while performance improves. Even better when found on sale at Best Buy. It was actually the lowest price I could find.

I installed a pair of these as mirrored system drives in the RAID array of my new HP MicroServer. Installation was a breeze and the system comes up quickly and performs great.

I'm using this SSD in a 6th generation Core i7 machine. I upgraded from a 7200 RPM 1TB HD to the SSD I am reviewing here. First of all, the overall speed increase you will get from using an SSD as your boot drive is significant. I can cold boot Windows 10 Home in around 20 secs from computer-off to a usable desktop. Dreamweaver now launches in around 10 secs from about 35 secs before. Saving large files is much faster as well. No moving parts, no drive noise. And now SSD's are relatively inexpensive. The drive I am reviewing (1 TB) was around $250. 120 GB SSD's start around $50. This is without a doubt best speed to $ ratio available for upgrading your PC. Most of you will probably need to clone your old boot drive to this SSD. There is software that PNY recommends and there is indeed a link for a download in their quick start guide. However, I had read much about TODO which is touted as "Easy Disk Clone Software for SSD Migration and Hard Drive Upgrade". It is from EaseUS and is completely free. It worked like a charm with no problems or hassles at all. Remember that the available space on your new SSD must be at least as as big as the partition you want to clone.

I was completely shocked to find an SSD which is essentially a TERABYTE at such an AMAZING price! I didn't even think to look at drives larger than 480GB because I assumed it would be way too expensive. To my surprise, this PNY 960GB SSD is nicely priced. I was able to buy and experience the wonderful performance and reliability that PNY has been to me thus far.

Pny has a great track record and this SSD is no exception. It performance is right up there with the rest of the top performers. The price was great, sale price of course. Speed and price was my greatest criteria for buying and the brand name of course!

A fast SSD from a reliable name, this 960GB model was easy to install and cut boot times in Windows 10 to an average of 30s. Projects and games load significantly faster and auto-saves are seamless, providing no performance lag.

This SSD is a great addition to any computer needing a speed upgrade. I put this 960Gb SSD in my Apple Mac Mini Server and the increase in performance was remarkable. First off, the startup boot dropped from 94 seconds to 27 seconds. On top of that improvement, program response is near instantaneous, and my audio and video editing is smooth as silk. I highly recommend this drive. Great product ... Great Price.

Love the solid state hard drives. This is my fourth ssd -four computers. The best upgrade for most computers!! SUBSTANUALLY shorten boot time and over all computer programs open much faster, lag times from hdd access gone! The ONLY reason for not giving five stars does not include software with product. A lot harder without software being include in the box!!! If you clone your working computer- the old hard drive makes a fantastic back up-ready to go incase of virus, Trojan, or crash.

I didn't think I would be able to afford a TERABYTE SSD anytime soon. But that day has come. The price was roughly $200 and I am really happy with it. All that space and all that speed at a price I can afford. A must have...

I bought this when it was on sale for $209 and use it for a secondary drive for storing games and other programs (not my main boot drive). It's not the fastest drive on the market, but for the amount of storage it works fantastic. This SSD uses the new Phison S10 controller for good performance metrics at this price point.

This is my first SSD, so it may be that I am easily impressed, but this PNY SSD boots up my laptop at least 3 times faster (probably more since I didn't time before and after). I like the idea of the drive being Solid State, I have had too many issues with HDDs either crashing or corrupting.

I purchased this SSD to replace a hybrid drive that I installed in a 2010 MacBook Pro a couple of years ago, and that I have come to use daily. The process of installing a new drive into that generation of MacBook is pretty straightforward, and thanks to Apple, even placing a blank drive that is Windows formatted will reinstall OS X from the cloud once Disk Utility reformats. The improvement in disk function is immediately apparent, reducing the boot time from ~40 seconds to 10... and this is a 960 GB drive!. I compared to the Samsung SSDs, and technically didn't see much difference, but this was probably in the range of 30% less expensive. Can't say anything negative... now thinking about doing the same with my other older MacBook Pro to leave in my office.

While it's not necessarily bleeding edge in regards to specs if you're into that sort of thing, it performs well and considering the price per gig, this ssd is great buy. It's a good candidate if you're looking for something speedy to replace a standard hdd for bulk storage.

There were no instructions included, but that wasn't a big problem. I just used Google/Youtube. Not difficult at all to install. No SATA data cable, so I used the one with the original drive. No mounting parts, so I just laid it on top of the other drive. Computer loads up lightning fast. No more lag when playing games. I'm very satisfied with the product.

I bought one of these at first since I had a good experience with PNY before. It was working well, so I decided to buy two more and set them up in RAID 0 in my desktop to get increased storage and speed. So far, they've all been running great.

Replaced my Toshiba laptop drive with this SSD and saw immediate results. Booted up fast and speed of games/apps significantly increased. Easy installation with just a screwdriver.

Almost 1TB , faster than a mechanical HD. What else do you expect? Works flawlessly!!!! And overall Best Buy have the best price around, cheaper than getting it on-line.
