Worked great. Easy install. Only draw back is it did not come with cloning software.

Not my first PNY drive and as all others has a good compatibility, decent speed and easy imaging upgrade.
It took a simple stand alone USB docking station to copy old drive 256Gb to the new 500Gb drive. It was painless upgrade.
I am using this drive on a gaming machine with intense hard drive read / write requirements and so far its doing what it is suppose to do. Good SATA drive with very good performance for its interface.
However if speed is very critical to your application I would consider PciE NVmE M2 drive but that comes with a higher price tag. If you do, make sure BIOS in your machine supports it and you are running newer OS. Majority of newer (couple years old) computers will support these drives.

Worked great and the price came out to around $50~ for a 500GB. I grabbed 2 of these to upgrade laptops, both had spinning HDD that needed to be replaced.
Pro:
- Fit my need for replacement drives for laptops.
- Fast enough for most tasks
- Quick and easy delivery (same day)
Con:
- Came with bundled internet security software I don't need.
- None really.
I've used PNY multiple times over the years and haven't had any issues. Overall the product worked as described, speeds were as listed. I would buy again.

PNY 2.5 inch solid state drives have always proven reliable for over 10 years of purchasing this brand. The performance for the price point to upgrade systems with older spinning hard drives is great when you don't have an M.2 or newer option. They are great for expandable storage as well. Highly recommend.

Got this hard drive for an older laptop that was barely crawling along. For very little money I was able to upgrade the drive with the PNY Solid State. This drive seriously resurrected the laptop. It went from being useless to super quick. Now it’s an old laptop so it’s not a lightning fast gaming computer, but man - better than new. Boots up in almost no time - used to take a year and day to boot up.

This was used as part of an upgrade to a gently used Lenovo Legion Y530 laptop that originally came with a HDD. I paired this with 500 GB M.2 SSD, with the intent of using this SSD for more frequent file work (and game files). Installation was easy.
The price-per-total storage was very reasonable. I was tempted to spend a little more for more storage space, but for my purposes this 500 GB drive is likely to outlive the laptop. I also had set some specific spending targets, and this was a good fit for my project.

Bought two of these 500GB SSD's to replace my Internal HDD's and what a difference. I use these gaming and they work great. PNY Rocks.! Also the price is very good.

Computers don’t age very well. With speeds doubling approximately every 2-3 years. They usually just get replaced. Enter inexpensive SSD (PNY). A Dell 3rd gen.I5 laptop that booted to Windows in about 2 minutes…Now only takes 30 seconds. Is “snappier switching programs, web browsing too is painless. At $30 for 500 GB PNY SSD the HP Athlon II was revived . The results would be similar on Any hard drive computer. Money well saved …

Excellent values. Installs easily and is blazing fast compared to my old boot drive. Now everything seems to load almost instantly. Wonderful solid state drive. The only thing lacking was a utility to clone your original hard disk drive. I was able to download software with free usage, but it would be much easier if there was software (or a link) included with the drive. Overall, extremely happy with my purshase.

Needed a secondary drive for a dual boot system on a mac mini. Using a sata to usb adapter it works flawlessly. Speed is sufficient for my needs and 500 GB is enough for the operating system and the programs I need to run.
