This device was recommended by my Geek Squad technician as an improvement to my older laptop's performance (the device had a traditional rotating disc memory). The team installed this solid-state storage overnight, reinstalled the OS, and I was up and running. The laptop performance has been improved ever since.

Good for upgrading an older PC to get better speeds. Also it is good for being a backup ssd for your data.

I purchased 4 of these and have had no issues nor any regrets about the purchase. In my opinion they are a very good value. I only have one point of comparison and that is with a WD brand of the same size and I feel that the PNY is faster. I haven't had either in service long enough to compare the reliability. I would recommend this item for the value and performance.

Perfect for extra storage space for pc. Easy to use

I decided to purchase this SSD to use for a crashed PC with the "blue screen of death" when I was unable to get the PC back running through it's Windows repair commands or prompts and it saved me from purchasing a new pc.

I was able to clone this drive using a third party which worked okay. I have purchased other drives that came with their own cloning software which worked actually quite better. But still a good performing Drive

I bought this for my wife's sluggish HP laptop. Great transformation! The only negative was that PNY didn't provide any disk cloning software like some other manufacturers do, so I incurred some extra expense.

While restoring an old pc for my dad, I needed to upgrade the boot drive. I couldn't use an m.2 due to the older motherboard on that computer, so I got this drive instead. Definitely loads into windows faster than the old hard drive it came with- just had to use an adapter to put into a standard 3.5 inch drive slot, plug it in, and install a modern os. Bought for a pretty good price too, yet still a great value even at normal price compared to the bigger names like Samsung. For computers that don't have an m.2 slot I would highly recommend this drive. Just remember to pick up an adapter if you're upgrading a desktop, which are easily found right here at Best Buy. Unless you're making a solitary drive build, 500 gb is plenty!

Great device, working great so far. My laptop performance improved after replacing my old sata disk drive with this one. Easy installation, since pins are compatibility with old one, simply removed old and inserted this one. of course I have to backup my OS to usb and then restored back to this to boot the OS from new SSD.

PNY - CS900 500GB Internal SSD SATA is an excellent item.

I replaced the old hard disk in my Lenovo laptop with this drive. Completely renewed the system. I highly recommend this SSD for that purpose. The laptop is working better than ever.
