Hands down the best pokemon game on the switch. I had so much fun in the city. The new battle system is so fun and makes it hard to put the game down. I definitely recommend this game if you’re looking to play a new game.

What was stopping it from having 5 stars? The real time from what made it its best the turn base. Alot of moves were removed thanks to this "real time". Other ways the rest of the game is great I had to warm up to being in one big town and no gyms. Story wise its your normal pokemon game similar to Legends in most aspects. The switch version is 30fps unless you buy the upgrade on the eshop to help out. You won't go wrong buying this. The dlc looking like it'll add more hours in hopefully. Personally I grew up with the turn based, nothing was wrong with that, no one asked to stop the turn based. If there's another pokemon game in the future if they want a 5 star from me? Bring back the gyms and turn base. Pokemon is better as a strategic game.

Visuals and Presentation Visually, Legends: Z-A shows a noticeable improvement over recent Pokémon titles. Lighting, animations, and environmental detail are sharper, especially within the city. While character models still aren’t industry-leading, the overall presentation is the strongest Pokémon has had in years. Where It Stumbles Despite its ambition, the game isn’t flawless. Performance also shows occasional dips during large battles or crowded city moments—an ongoing issue for the franchise. Some side content can feel repetitive, and not every experiment lands perfectly. Final Verdict Pokémon Legends: Z-A succeeds because it dares to be different. While technical issues and a narrower world prevent it from true greatness, this is still one of the most exciting and important Pokémon releases in a decade. The game is great, though it is different from the traditional games. It's more open world and focused on catching and battling rather than progressing through a linear map.

This game has been amazing in my opinion. It has a good story, plenty to do even in the beginning of the game. The map is quite large for Luminous City and shiny hunting is quite easy. Before judging this game people should give it a try. I personally love it. To me it's a 10/10

The game did last as long as I wanted to but it was a great game, the story line was fantastic, the graphics were good for still using the original switch console and really looking forward to the DLC to come out in December !

I've been enjoying the game! Lots to do in the city and battling is fun too! The physical product was in great condition too. I'm very happy I have the pre-order bonus as well.

First Pokemon game I've played since x but had a ton of fun collecting shinnies! Story was ok but fun battling system and pokemon collection system for sure!

Absolutely great game, crew was very nice and helpful, they helped me with the pre order problems, and sorted it out, and would highly recommend to others.

Great game no complaints the story line is different from others I’ve played and they give you a lot of different missions and make shiny hunting more fun

I personally love the Pokémon franchise, i was skeptical in the beginning about Legends Z-A. When i first began playing it gave me Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep vibes, because of the cool downs when using attacks. After playing it more, I was having a blast, the story is phenomenal, the new Mega Evolutions are not back, the Easter Eggs included from previous games, and regions brings classic nostalgia! If you want a game that is fun, thrilling, nostalgic too then Legends Z-A is the game for you!

One of the better pokemon games for switch in recent times. Even runs good on switch 1 and with more refinement these games can be revolutionary for the franchise.

Despite the graphics and being it should've been a $40 game. I had a blast with the game especially with Mega Evolutions coming back.

I applaud Gamefreak for introducing a new battle style with this game; it's completely real time and you're able to move in a 3D arena space during the battle. Moves no longer have PP, but rather they are all cooldown-based. It's a fresh take, however, I think I vastly prefer the original battle style. This one has issues because you need to first get in range to start channeling your move. That's right, you need to CHANNEL your move before it's able to be used. So during this time, the opponent can walk slightly sideways and your move will whiff. And other times, your Pokemon can get blocked on terrain which causes your move to time out. My second gripe with the game is the setting. Everything takes place in Lumious city. The buildings all look so sameish, it makes the game kind of bland to look at. They do mix things up by allowing you to scale the buildings and have strategically placed catwalks and ladders to force you to explore the city in certain ways, which gates certain rare Pokemon to by placing them on unreachable rooftops until you get upgrades to your mobility. So that is the carrot they dangle in front of you throughout the game.

Great game! I get every Pokemon game that comes out and I love the real time battling.
