This case makes it easy to travel with the device. It is sturdy and can be dropped without too much concern.

Very durable but would be safe if there was some sort of handle.

This is a great case for getting from one place to another. But I think the nerf case would have been better as you leave it on the DS when playing. It only holds 6 games, which my son outgrew really fast. But construction of it is great, and it works to haul from one place to the next.

This is a great hard case and holds cartridges. My son can't play the DS while it is in the case so he has to take it out and therefore misplaces it often.

I got this case a bonus for free but I was supposed to get a black case but instead was given a pink one. They all have the same SKU so you cant choose which color. I have not opened it and have no use for it. Not sure what to do.

There are far better cases to be had, I would suggest the Nerf style.

Like many of the reviewers for this item, I got it for free when I purchased my 3DS XL. It's a hard plastic case on the outside lined by some sort of rubberized composite on the inside. This particular case will fit a DS Lite, DS XL, 3DS, or the 3DS XL. To accomodate the XL handhelds, a ring of foam is removed from the inside. The underside of the top serves as a storage area. After removing a false ceiling, you are able to store six DS or 3DS games (or combination of both). I am not sure why another reviewer said it did not have storage for 3DS games since the storage cut outs for the cartridges have the exact shape of the 3DS games. You are also able to store an extra stylus here. The bottom of the clamshell case is where the handheld gets stored. I have the 3DS XL and its a snug fit. There is also a storage slot here to store another stylus. When I first got the case, it did take a few moments to figure out how to open it. There is a rubber piece that juts out of the center around the perimeter of the case. Pressing here will release two locking latches and allow the clamshell to be opened. Note that it does take a fair amount of pressure to release the latches. I wouldn't worry about the case opening unintentionally in your travels. As other reviewers have mentioned, smaller children may have trouble with this unlock mechanism. The case, itself, feels very sturdy, but is a good bit larger than the actual console. Because of the size, it won't fit in most pants pockets. It might fit in large cargo pants pockets. However, it seems perfect to toss in a messenger bag or a backpack. The only thing this case lacks is space to store your charger. I'm generally satisfied with this case, and would recommend it. I got it for free as a bonus when purchasing my 3DS XL, but even if I didn't the price point is within reason to protect the handheld.

This is a really nice ds/dsi/dsixl case. It comes with foam inserts, so you can adjust the size of it for a tight fit with any of the latest ds models. I am hoping that one of them will work with the 3ds as well. Can hold 6 games, which is really nice. Seems super sturdy. Very happy with my purpose.

I received this case free with the Purchase of my 3DS XL. The case fits the 3DS XL perfectly and has no problems opening or closing. Holds a good number of games, and both a large and small stylus. I have seen other others complain that the case was hard to open, but I have absolutely no problems there. Simply push the button on the front and open. I am guessing that others were not pushing the button to open, or there could have been a redesign. Either way, this case looks and functions great. I know there is no way my XL will be damaged in this thing. Very happy with the case :)

I bought the case for my new 3D DS XL. The exterior is made up of a glossy black plastic. The interior is a blue rubber material. It had storage for up to six games or five games and a SD ram card. Highly recommend it's!!!

I have had my DSlite for years now and I've bought many cases over time. This is one, however, that I think I will actually stick with. It is a very hard case with a push button that opens to reveal a place for my DS and a XL stylus (which I bought one after getting this case to fill in that hole) and it is not difficult to get either out. There is a divider that covers where the games and an extra regular stylus is stored and it does a very good job of making sure my games do not spill out. Plus, whether you have a DSlite, DSi or DSXL, you are set with this case! Like a previous reviewer above, I too hope it will also hold the upcoming 3DS because it is a very great case.
