So much to do in this game. And it being open world was even more fun. Great story and characters.

This might be the best game I have ever played. I was skeptical at first and held off for years buying this game because it was so different. This is a game you can turn on and in an instant 2hrs have passed. The graphics are amazing, the story line is great, and there's plenty of side quests to complete.

This is one of the best Zelda games ever made. The only issue I have with the game is that there aren't traditional dungeons. The other issue I have with the game is that weapons break after enough use which really isn't that bad. Despite those issues it's still an amazing game and what Nintendo did with the open world is amazing it truely feels alive.

I can honestly say this is this best open world adventure game. You start off by waking up from a deep sleep for 100yrs after hyrule was taken over. No clothes or equipment. The word is massive with so many things to discover and enjoy over time. Yes there is fps dip but barely and it's called updates via internet. Tablet mode does play slightly better than dock mode. Other than that. I love my switch more than any console as well as this game. And I have all systems. So not a Nintendo "fanboy" but definitely loving them again.

This is truly one of the best open world gaming experiences I've ever had. You're dropped into a massive virtual world that you can fully explore. Those mountains over in the horizon? Yep, you can go there. There's no end to it. I'm not a Zelda fan in particular. I've never played a Zelda game before this. But I love the game nonetheless. That's how you know it's great.

While I'm definitely not finished with it just yet, even after only going through one "proper" dungeon, it's very clear that this is one of the greatest video games ever made. 40 hours in and I have zero desire to even progress in the story. And that's not a knock on the story, which is great and compelling, it's just that running and gliding around Hyrule is just too much fun. 5/5 10/10 100/100 Please check out www.timewearegiven.com for travel reviews of New Zealand Lord of the Ring locations (and hopefully more!).

I was in the fence about getting a Switch period.. however, I’m super glad I did! It’s so portable and Zelda is incredible on it. The world of Zelda is completely open and it’s up to you to explore and find loot. It’s reminiscent of Ocarina of time. I can happily say... I’m addicted! Since purchase, I’ve probably played it 10+ hours and BARELY scratched the surface of the game... apparently folks have played 100+ hours. Wow! I’d definitely recommend getting this game when first purchasing your switch!

phenomenal sandbox game with loads of variations in play. caters to all skill levels. limited gore, but simulated violence is present (something to consider for younger players). cumulative and utilizes endless approaches to problem solving/ puzzle solutions. really enjoyable playthrough!

I am a huge Zelda fan but I’m not usually into open world games. This is one world that is definitely worth exploring. It is very engaging because I’m constantly finding new loot and challenges. One thing I really like is the “pick up and play” aspect of the design. I can play for 15 minutes and beat a shrine or 2 hours and complete a long quest. I can save any time and pick back up where I left off. I will be playing this for a while because there is so much to do and it is not an easy game.

This is the main game for the Switch as most people know by now, but that doesn't mean to sell this game short. This is THE game to play this year and I couldn't recommend it more. No other game has instilled such a true sense of rewarding exploration like BotW. Organically using the mechanics and tools at your disposal to overcome numerous obstacles is a blast. The new approach to Zelda with no true dungeons and freedom to go wherever you want after the intiial starting area is an amazing feeling. Play this game!

With a few changes to classic Link. He can now jump and climb the sides of mountains. It doesn't take away from the experience at all. This still feels like a Zelda game. It's gorgeous on both the tv and on the handheld system. Sure, the quality is a little less on the handheld, but it's still beautiful. The game is open world and so much to discover. Even when you think you've seen it all, there's something else.

This is easily one of the best Zelda games of all time. The open world and freedom to do what you want to do can make this a truly unique experience for anyone playing it for the first time. The lack of true dungeons is made up by the story and how crazy in depth this game is.

I have been hyped for the game ever since it was first announced as a Wii U game. I bought it for my Switch since I wanted it more for the newer console. Longtime fans will love the game since it has gone back and feels more like the original Zelda with the open world. Game has a lot to do and you can easily get side tracked and distracted by all the various things you can do in the world. A definite must buy

If anybody can think of something bad to say about this game, I'd be quick to call them a liar! The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild breathes new life into Nintendo and the Zelda series. Zelda BOTW has a huge map and open world, a brilliant "blood moon" concept to justify the respawning of bad guys, and an amazing continuation to the story that is Link and Zelda. I've been playing these games since 1987 when Zelda first came into my life and my 3 year already knows the beauty that is The Legend of Zelda

BotW has received plenty of accolades for a good reason: it is a excellent game. It is much harder than previous Zelda games that I have played (and I have died a lot as a result) but I keep coming back for more. I love being able to climb up mountains and exploring new places. The shrines are challenging, but are great puzzles. Hyrule is absolutely gorgeous and the character design is great. I am still playing through the main story, but I am sincerely enjoying playing this game.

Breath of the Wild is an incredibly expansive game, which focuses on one thing: being fun. It gives you near complete freedom to tackle problems and progress as you please, as well as introducing new concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand without being forced - any sense of a "tutorial" is integrated naturally into gameplay. The openness of the game means anybody should find enjoyment in playing it - if the concept seems interesting, then this game is definitely for you.

This game is great and very entertaining for hours on end. However, as a 22 year old, this game seemed to be mainly created for the ease of completion but younger kids- the game in general is not extremely hard. I was disappointed that exploration and roaming were more dangerous and tougher rather than any major story-line fight/puzzle. Would 100% recommend for any gamer interested in free world gaming.
