    Great laptop but runs hot

Laptop build quality is top notch. Screen is perfect, keyboard fantastic, touchpad among the best I've used. I have owned many laptops and the fans in this are actually not to loud. Under a heavy load I can deal with with the noise and still have a conversation with someone in the room. The only thing I liked more about this model than my 15 Advanced was that there was an additional m.2 slot. I did end up returning this laptop for 1 reason....The heat....Playing BDO, Breakpoint, World of Tanks, even Banished and Age of Empires III this laptop would hit 100c. I did install Throttlestop and lock the multiplier at 35 but eventually the temps would creep up. As a note - there was no hit on performance from the temps hitting 100c but I felt that over time this may lessen the life of the components. I would say for long gaming sessions this might not be the best laptop but I often have regrets about the return as I loved it for everything else.

Well-built, high performing, extra drive expansion

I've purchased five of the 15" Base models over the past two years (two of the previous models and three of the current ones). The keyboards on the previous models are a bit of a pain to get used to due to how they lay out the arrow keys and the shift key. Other than that, they've been amazing systems. Razer advertised on their website that the old models had an extra 2.5" SATA SSD bay. We used those on both of those laptops, which has worked out great. The new models don't indicate that there is an extra bay in them for an additional SSD. However, there is. In this case, however, it's not for a SATA drive -- it's for an NVMe drive, which is even better. We installed 1 TB Samsung 970 Pro SSDs in our three new Base model laptops, which worked perfectly. Note that the brand new models that just came out (with the RTX 30xx video cards) DO say they have this extra drive bay. I'm not sure why the previous model didn't. All of our laptops have performed flawlessly. The 6-core CPUs work great. I upgraded the RAM in all of them from 16 GB to 32 GB, since we typically push our systems a bit with the work we do. Note that we use these for our business, not for gaming. So I can't speak to gaming performance. But for business use, these systems are exceptional.

I absolutely love this razer blade 15! My gaming days are long over; I bought this laptop for video editing and content creation for work, and it's been awesome. It handles the adobe suite of software without a hiccup. Editing 4k video is a breeze. Nvidia also has specific drivers for working with Adobe. I'm very pleased with this razer laptop.

Bought this laptop for gaming on the road. Unfortunately, early on I found out that the fan engages early into use and is extremely loud. HOWEVER, if you change the power settings to not run on Max, you can have a quiet, regular laptop. It’s a great desktop replacement.

This laptop looks & feels amazing, the CNC cut frame is solid & the colors on the RGB keyboard are deep & rich. The software is great for changing all that, too. The screen was great & the laptop was fast. However the one I bought ran really hot resulting in the fans kicking on when I wasn't using the computer. Major complaint was that I had a hard time keeping it connected to the internet through WiFi. I'd close the lid & step away (chose the option to 'do nothing' when lid is closed) & I'd get the no internet icon when returning & would have to restart to get back online. I went through several settings over several days & could only get 2 hours at best on battery just surfing the web. After having the WiFi issue & the computer running hot I returned the laptop as I've heard a lot of horror stories dealing with Razer's customer service. I wouldn't say avoid the laptop, but it just gave me anxiety for a near $2k laptop that should have performed better, imo.

I was looking to get a n ice portable gaming computer and researched this. I can play most games on med to high. Has a lot of ports that are usable. Does not have any slot for picture cards but the adapters are cheap. Runs a bit warm sometimes so i def don't recommend to actually set it on your lap
