After reading other reviews, I was convinced that it is good to buy the Canon-branded battery than a third-party brand for better long-term performance. Happy to have found it at Best Buy. Camera store didn't carry it.

with my new camera , i always need and keep a backup battery ,, and if i use the battery grib too .. and based on past experience ,, factory battery are more expensive but last longer than non-oem ..

The Extra Canon Battery is essential for long days of shooting! Best Buy is a most convenient place to purchase the required battery for your specific camera and they seem readily available at a local store or on-line.

When I bought my 60D used it came with an aftermarket battery that was trash!!! Battery would die just sitting in the camera with a full charge and the camera not even on. I have NO issues with the Canon battery at all

I Always trust using original Canon accessories with my Canon camera. I then know everything works properly. The battery charges the way it should and the camera utilizes it in a productive manner.

battery works fantastic, but it is just a little too expensive for a battery. It works better than any knock off ones, though.

I did some research online and YouTube videos before I made my purchase. You'll find that if the price is too good to be true normally it is. Stick with authorized resellers like Best Buy. If you buy cheap you buy again.

What can I say other than the fact that it is an original Canon and very reliable. I was getting 1200 shutter counts on a full charge and only used 80% of the battery with half of them using an external canon Speedlite.

I have bought some from Third party Batteries. Charge wouldn't last longer. Canon Batteries are best and recommended. Its worth the price. Charge comes longer. and it is safe.

I bought this because I was on location for a shoot and needed a spare battery knowing I was going to shoot all day. Always recommended to have a spare and only the genuine brand for reliable maximum performance.

I used this battery for the Canon 80D. The battery lasts long and can withstand extra long video recording. Expensive battery but you know that the quality will be better compare to the generic battery.

Highly recomend an extra battery for any professional photographer. This is lighter than attaching a bulky battery pack to your camera and cheaper!

Bought new Canon camera body and battery grip. There was a special with camera purchase and it came with one battery (same as purchased) and a few weeks later got another one when it went in sale at $29.99 (regular price $39.99). Good battery with good power, but has less charge than Canon OEM. About half the price of Canon. Now have two batteries of same rating to go into battery grip. Camera can read and show remaining battery power on screens. Excellent.

This battery serves its intended use perfectly. I love it

I don't like using non-Canon brand batteries/accessories with my cameras. I just wish it was more affordable - almost double the price of some of the off-brand batteries.
