Bullet hell with a creepy weird story sound good to you? This game delivers!

Returnal, despite its lackluster name, is a fantastic experience, and I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s challenging yet Returnal. The co-op feature is very well done. Definitely more entertaining playing with a friend. As of this writing, my favorite PS5 game.

If you’re looking for something jam packed with action and quite a challenge then this is for you! This is a excellent showcase for the power or the PS5 and whats to come from PlayStation Studios. The gameplay loop is so addictive and makes you want to get better and better after every run! This is not your average game and it’s not for the faint of heart. It’s quite the challenge. 5/5 highly recommended!

Great looking game and overall good story but man do I rage quit.lol

Such a pleasant surprise of a game. I wasn't sure how I felt about the whole die and restart process, but the game handles it really well by giving you shortcuts to move through the levels faster if you want to. The story was also really intriguing and kept me wanting to know more. The main gameplay though of shooting and platforming is super satisfying and absolutely worth trying.

This game might give you a really bad first impression. You do your first run and you collect all of these great upgrades then you get killed and lose everything and think you just wasted your time. Give it some time and focus on collecting the permanent upgrades and you will see how the game was intended to be played. If you stick with it, it becomes a very rewarding experience.

Game is cool, nice next gen graphics and good combat gunplay, but for the love of God! Sending me all the way back to the beginning after I’ve just invested 3hrs, is a major hassle. You better be prepared to die a lot and plan to get very frustrated by starting all the way over every time you die, and losing everything you collected. 3 stars for the graphics and combat.

Fantastic game dripping with atmosphere and fun. Would reccomend to anybody with a PS5. Gameplay is smooth, fast and frantic. None if it seems unfair though, if you get hit, thats almost entirely on you. There was rarely ever a time where I thought I was cheated into a death. Reccomended for anybody who wants a giid challenge and an interesting story.

I've yet to finish, but definitely one of the ps5's best looking games, and feels great in the hands. That said, the rouge lite structure can make the actual gameplay repetitive, but the graphics, atmosphere, and story has kept me engaged.

It's frustrating with the constant deaths but I can't stop playing it! The weapons are fun to use and there's always something different to uncover with each run. The PS5 enchantments really shine with this game and you won't go wrong with it. If you can pick it up on sale,EVEN BETTER!

Extremely challenging and fun. Hard to pick back up after a break because I suck so bad after some time away. They did a phenomenal job with the controller integration. Every weapon feels powerful. With some 3D headphones added, this is a very immersive experience.

The game is gorgeous and plays very smoothly. I really enjoy the feel of it.

I've beaten all the Souls games and this makes those look easy. The issue comes from the loss of practicially all your enhancements afer death. There's no wway to grind or become OP. After a while, you get so frustrated on a near perfect run to just make a simple mistake and the hour plus run is over and lost just like that. Bummer because it was a stunning visual and playable game.

Game is super dun love the story line too graphics rock

You’ve got to fail in order ro prceeed. A premise i knew going into this game and i feel like it inspires two different playstyles. Run in, bawls to the wall with no cares or second guess slowly for every move. Both methods work i find but still, you suck at this game and that is kinda the point.

Returnal is an excellent game, it’s well worth the $ if you know what you’re getting into. This game won’t hold your hand but it is also fair, and completely beatable. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s just too difficult because the game gives you everything you need in order to succeed. The art direction, music, bosses, enemy designs, they’re all great!

Didn't really know what to except from this game but was pleasantly surprised by how fun the gameplay was. However it is very challenging and can sometimes be outright frustrating. I made it to the 3rd biome and have not picked it up in a while. Will go back after some time... The graphics however are very good and the gameplay hook is great. But runs take way too long and I don't want to dive right back in.

It's a decent game, but it is a bit pricey for what it is, I would wait but it is fun

This game has been very fun, while frustrating, to play. It can be a little difficult and having to start over every time you die and not being able to save really drains your enthusiasm after a long run, but that’s what makes this game unique. The story is intriguing and if you’re up for a challenge, you’ll enjoy this game.
