It wont show above the hood. If you tilt your rear view mirror you can get the view but then you cant see in the rear of your rear view mirror. Good quality picture and easy to install otherwise and good price.

HI! You can adjust the front camera lens only for a better angle. Adjust the rear view mirror first, then adjust the lens.

Works really nice. East to install. Only thing about mine is when I get in my car and turn it on, about half the time it starts and then shuts off so just have to press the button to restart but can be frustrating. Don't know why it does that.

I just picked up this mirror/camera today and I have to say it's so much better than I thought it'll be. Pictures are good, install was easy and the user interface was simple to learn.
I had a similar style camera from another company and the product failed within 12 hrs. I liked the idea of a camera as a rearview mirror so you can imagine my disappointment when that first one died... This Rexing M1 mirror cam seemed higher quality and performs excellently right now. I am very pleased with my purchase and I highly recommend this after day one of use.

The dashcam is a wonderful replacement to your rear mirror while recording both the front and the back. I really like the design, because it provides a much clearer view of the back than the ordinary one. In fact, this is my second time buying the product, adding the safety feature to my wife's car as well. Nowadays, you won't know when something will happen unexpectedly, so a dashcam may save you from big troubles. One thing noteworthy is that the product is not exactly the same as my old one. Clearly, the manufacture has upgraded it somehow. Still, I feel the product to be of high quality and reliability. Although there are so many other similar products on the market out there, you will not be wrong on this one.

Well, it started out fine. Worked good for about 7 days, then started flickering and "lock"memory reboot loop. First it stopped if I unplugged the rear camera feed. Then that didn't work either. Missed the return period by one day so I started down the firmware update rabbit hole. Let me warn you upfront that the rexingusa website is all kinds of buggered up. I picked the firmware tab, entered my firmware ID as instructed and was told "input error". Reached out to support for assistance and kept searching while I was waiting for a response. Found a google link back to rexingusa that showed me a webpage with my model on top and a download link for a newer (based on the version number and prodvdate listed) firmware version. Downloaded and followed the instructions for the update and it said it completed. Re-installed the unit and it wouldn't show the front camera at all, the back camera was cut in half with the front half of the view wrapping around and overlapping the left half, colored lines scrolling, and it wouldn't record anything. Received an email back from support pointing me back to the firmware site which gave me "input error" and wouldn't go farther. I did another firmware search and found another rexingusa firmware page with a recent date (04/2020) that had my model on top and listed an entirely different firmware version, so I followed their instructions to flash it again and it bricked. Wouldn't even power up. So I emailed tech support with screenshots showing the "input error" and the two conflicting firmware pages that both had my model number on them and they are processing a return now. It may not be with the trouble if this next one has the same issue, but for the 7 days it did work, it was crystal clear video front and rear and as advertised. Not for the faint of heart. Also, the display it shows you of what the front camera is recording is actually only a sliver of the whole picture, do don't worry if you can't see everything you want to record. It'actually recording a much larger image than you can display on the mirror screen.

I have years with Rexing products. More importantly, I know there is a reason personal injury attorneys advertise on television every 5 minutes. That is because there is someone out there looking for you. Looking for a free handout. I purchased the front and rear recording system because it just so happened one of those people personal injury attorneys target, ran into the back of my truck and proceeded to sue us in court. If you own any assets, you need this system on every vehicle you own. Don't settle for imitations. This system can stand up to the heat of summer where other systems fail.

I love this mirror does a lot however, the only thing is if you leave it in your cigarette lighter it will kill your battery. I had to buy a new battery that cost over 175.00 so unplug it when you exit your car.

very cool to have in the car. makes whatever you are driving, more modern. with the unit being more forward of the windshield, cable management needs to be considered. the unit does add additional mass to your rearview mirror, so you may need vibration of the unit as the harmonics of the vehicle resonate. the rearview camera is capable of night vision but its not very good at adjusting for headlights. settings are easy to access but its hard to tell if the setting you chose actually do anything to adjust the video you want to record.

Got this dash cam during deal of the day. For the most part it does what it's suppose to do.
Pros: rear can allows me to have my cargo area completely full and still have full vision on what's behind me and the wide angle camera is really good for blind spots
Cons: the front camera only allows you to adjust to a certain degree; the entire system itself will occasionally shut down even tho it's plugged in; and it can have a really bad glare especially on sunny days.

Hi, thank you for your review and feedback! If hardwired, try testing out the 12V charger and see if the system still occasionally reboots. If not, it may be an issue with a loose fuse.
