I read many reviews before purchasing the dash cam. This one has exactly the same pixel as shown on youtube. I just want to have it at the rear.

Great audio recording Clean crystal clear camera I will definitely recommend this product I messed up the 3M tape I got in the package call their customer service and they mailed me out extra immediately.

This is my 3rd dashcam. I'd never heard of Rexing before this. Over all, after a week of using it, I like it. There are strengths and weaknesses. strengths: 1-This dashcam seems to handle battery charging properly. It's the first dashcam I've had that does. (Strangely, my last dashcam didn't which ultimately caused its internal date/time chip to reset, which got the date set to 2015, which actually made it stop recording video: the just-recorded file had the oldest date of all the files on the sd card, so it deleted it to make room for the next file. It gave no outward sign of any problem. It's an interesting multi-step failure.) The blue status light indicates when it is charging. I haven't see the blue light since the first day or two, so it's charged all the time. 2- Video quality is very good. Viewing video taken during the day, when exposure times are short, freezing the frame gives really sharp images even while the car is moving. At night the image quality is also very good, but the longer frame exposure times necessary at night allow for some image motion blur which is noticeable only when you freeze-frame the video. That's not a criticism. It's just the way photography works (any camera will do that). They did a good job with the video. 3- The mounting system is a piece of plastic adhered to the windshield with a thin, double faced foam pad. The camera easily snaps onto (and off of) the piece of plastic. It's very compact and obscures less of your view. I guess if you want to move the camera between 2 vehicles, they'll probably give you another piece of plastic and foam to mount it in the other vehicle. 4- Having the speed and time, timestamped in the frame, is great, I think. The GPS option allows for that. It probably will always have the accurate time because (I assume) it gets that from the GPS. weaknesses: 1- With other dashcams I have had problems with the thing failing to record, but giving no outward sign that it was not recording, such as when an sd card failed. The flashing red light tells you it is recording so, seeing that the red light is flashing is important. The Rexing's light is very hard to see during the day (it's fine at night). The LED is internal to the unit and back-lights the push buttons. It's faint. If you could see the LED directly, as in my previous dashcam, it would be clearly visible in daylight. 2- The video display, when it first turns on, also shows you, for a minute, an animated, flashing red dot which also indicates it has started recording, but that, too, is hard to see in the day. It's bright enough, but given the shape of the camera and the mounting scheme, the display is necessarily viewed at a 45 deg. angle or more from the driver's view point. The display quality degrades badly when viewed at that angle. I guess they figure, you don't really need to look at the display except when the thing is in your hand, not clipped to the windshield. That is generally correct, except that I want to see that animated red dot since I can't see the flashing red LED. So when I start the car, I end up leaning way forward and tilting my head up to achieve the viewing angle necessary to see that dot. I'm sensitive to this issue because the last time I was in an accident, my (previous) dashcam was NOT recording, and was giving no outward sign of it. I didn't discover it until I tried to look at the video. So, the "everything is OK and I'm recording" indicator is very important. It's the whole point of having the thing. 3- The downside of the mounting scheme is that it gives up the one advantage of the suction cup mount, which is that you can move it to another vehicle easily at any time. I used to take my old dashcam with me when I travel to use in my rental car. You can't do that with this camera. So, over all, I like it. Every product is a collection of many design trade-offs. The trade-offs they made were, mostly, reasonable.

GPS logger did not work. Called Rexing and they are sending another. Unit was a breeze to set up. Would have given it five stars if it had worked the first time.

Great product. Love the product that I bought for my son’s car and had to get another camera for my automobile. GPS logger is a great feature adding security to one’s daily travels.

Was impressed with the smaller size of this dash cam which meant it would not block view of the road when driving, and the fact that it adheres to the windshield by adhesive instead of suction cup.

Impressed by this cam. I like the shape so that it is hardly seen, e.g. if mounted behind the center mirror like I did. Very clear images and footage and good user interface.

Clear video quality, audio clear night recording is awesome I would recommend

I got this camera during Black Friday sale. It’s great but wish I would of got the one with rear camera also which is a bit more expensive. Has worked great for me so far.

brought this as a gift for my daughter and she loved it. front & back camera with phone sync.

Just use it for every day use with all these bad drivers you have to be prepared

Let's face it: people lie. If you drive a car, you NEED to have a dash cam running in your vehicle at all times. I've heard of horror stories of people simply unable to convince insurance companies on their innocence due to a lack of hard evidence. For a $130 investment, it may potentially save you thousands down the road. I've been using the V1G for about a week and it's been great so far. I say "so far" because I've been through two other dash cams that failed on me, so I'll hold out on the enthusiasm until perhaps six months of usage. The initial striking feature of this camera is its ergonomic design that sits flush with the curvature of the windshield. Most other dash cams I've tried pretty much hang off of it via suction cups, which tend to fail on hot summer days. This one comes with a single 3M adhesive and mounting plate that attach statically to the windshield and don't come off. You simply slide in and out the camera from the mounting plate when you want to use it. Pros: - Wide angle lens for great recording converge- - Great HD quality - Responsive buttons/UI - Built in GPS module - Built in G sensor to auto-lock files in case of a would-be accident Cons - Comes with only one adhesive/mount. I'll keep refreshing this review with any updates.

I overall really like this dashcam, its sleek and stays out of the way, plus the excellent video quality. The first unit I had failed on me with a defective battery but rexing replaced it with a new unit after contacting them.

Easy to install. Videos are crystal clear. Unit automatically turns on and starts recording when powered up and a memory card is inserted. So far very happy with the purchase.
