It’s been over a few weeks of using this dash cam and I’m enjoying it very much. Off the bat, I will say that I wish I could hide it a bit more as I don’t like to advertise I have electronics in my car, but it is much smaller then the last model I had in this style so I think Rexing is heading in the right direction so I’m still very pleased with it! One rexing dash cam I purchased 4 years ago is still running strong in my daily driver today with no hiccups. They seam to last and they have a lot of models to choose from. Last but not least, I will post updates on how well the Wi-Fi feature works after a few months of usage as this feature is pretty important to me and I have not used it much so can’t say how well it works or doesn’t work. Thanks for reading my review and happy buying.

Couldn't have asked for a more ideal setup. 4k quality on the front is great and 1080p on the rear is perfectly fine. Two cameras in one clean system was exactly what I was looking for!

Great brand and product. I always use this brand but they didn't have the previous model I used and this was my next option. It was super easy installation, connecting and set up overall on the menu section. I still need to figure out how to hardwire it but it seems easy enough if you know your fuse box. The picture is super clear as well during the day. I still need to take it on a night drive but it seems well so far.

Fitment failure

So, when the offer a fitment check to make sure something fits your car...make sure you know how to make a proper fitment chart.
Your installation instructions show the preferred layout of how to install. The car mfg's don't hide details about specs on the cars the fitment includes. So when you check all the boxes and it says "it fits" you expect it to be true.
False.
First was the sneaky hidden detail the my car uses Micro2 fuses and not the Mini, which is the only option in the box. No big deal, I'll just use the lighter adapter instead...still no fit. The cable isn't long enough for my car to be routed and hide the cable. So back to the hardwire. Rexing offers a kit but you're better off buying a 3rd party connector instead, not giving them more money for lying about fitment. $6 and a couple days wait and I was back in business.
Rear camera - remember that fitment pass? Another fail. Installing the wire as shown in the manual and I'm 2' short. Back to Amazon to buy another extension.
Finally after getting everything installed it's working great. Not sure about the longevity, but at least I got it all hooked up.
They really need to do a better job of checking fitment or just list the length of each cable and fuse type in the description or, heck, in the installation manual.

I recently tried the Rexing 4K Dash Cam, and it has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, features, and ease of use.
Video Quality:
The front camera records in true 4K Ultra HD, and the clarity is outstanding both during the day and at night. The rear camera provides 1080p coverage, which is more than enough to capture details like license plates and road conditions behind me. The wide-angle lens ensures a full view of the road without distortion.
Design & Build:
The compact design fits neatly behind my rearview mirror and doesn’t obstruct the driver’s view. The display screen is bright and clear, making it easy to review footage on the spot. Buttons are conveniently placed and intuitive to use.

Rexing V1P Flex 4K Dashcam was a great choice. Installation was easy and enough wiring was provided to cover the length of SUV for front & rear cam. I set front recording to 2K and rear to 1080p. Able to read license plates as long as it is stable in the view for about 2-3 seconds at constant speed. Enough details to protect you incase of an incident. Locking footage works as expected. Wifi connect to iPhone works well. Able to remove card and use a card reader in laptop to import footages. Overall great choice. Recommended.

Introduction
Dashcams have become more of a necessity than luxury for most people. It’s even more important to have a rear cam as well. Rexing is a new name for me in the world of dashcams.
Going in
This is my 2nd 4K dashcam, and I’m interested to see how the quality of the video looks.
What comes in the box?
Out of the box you get the front facing camera, the rear camera, a DC to USB-C adapter, a 32 gb micro SD, an electro static sticker, a hardwire kit, 2 3M application stickers, 2 mounts, 6 cable clips, a cable management tool, and inserts.
Minor wins
The Rexing connect app is one of the most barebone apps I’ve seen for a dashcam, and in a way, that’s good. You can view the video from your phone. It’s just a cumbersome process of turning the wi-fi on the dashcam, and then connecting to the device’s wi-fi, and then pressing wi-fi on the app… a lot of steps just to see what your dashcam is recording on your phone.
Major wins
The price point for a front facing and rear facing camera is pretty good. Especially one that’s touted as 4K… but I’ll get more into that in the major issues section.
Usage
I have 3 dashcams in total, and this is my 2nd 4K one, so I was excited to see how the video looked.
Installation took about 20 minutes. I’m very picky on where the dashcam is situated, so I spent a few minutes using the electro static sticker to find the most adequate placement that wouldn’t impede my vision.
If you have experience installing a dashcam, and have used a cable wedge tool, that will feel familiar.
The rear camera’s cable had a lot of slack, so remember to install it with your tailgate open if you’re installing it on a minivan or SUV.
The hardwire kit was intimidating to install considering I know very little about fuse boxes. I called my mechanic buddy and he helped me through the process. It’s a nice feature that alerts you when your car is hit or moved in parked mode. What I don’t love is that extra sensor that I have to attach to the front windshield. I think it’s just one too many things to have. The front windshield looked cluttered.
I ultimately decided to remove it.
The dashcam itself has options on record time, date, resolution change to 2K, etc… the dashcam like the app is pretty basic, and once again, I kinda like that.
Minor issues
I wish this was a touchscreen dashcam. I’m guessing that including a touchscreen would have raised the MSRP, so I understand why they didn’t, I’m just saying it would have been a nice feature. Those little buttons are difficult to see at night. I’m thinking if the buttons were backlit, that would have been great for night driving.
Major issues
The 4K video on the front facing and rear facing are pretty bad. I don’t just mean bad for 4K, I mean just bad in general. As you can see in the photos, it looks like an image from a cell phone from 2005. The images were jaggy, and looked like low resolution video captured on a 480i device. I don’t know how this passes as 4K. The rear camera video is just as bad. I thought it may just be in need of a restart, and no, it’s just that way.
The worst part is that the video I record has these lines running across it, almost like what you would see on an old CRT monitor.
I reset the unit, and the same. Maybe I got a faulty one? I have another 4K dashcam, and that actually looks like a 4K monitor.
Primarily for
People who don’t have a single dashcam in any of your vehicles.
Probably not for
People who already have all their vehicles situated with one, and those who like way better video quality.
All in all
This is a decent dashcam by Rexing. This is my first, and probably last one that I would get from them considering how bad the video quality is. The app and dashcam itself are pretty basic, and that’s a good thing, but at the end of the day, it’s all about the video that’s captured to use in the event of an accident. The video is subpar. I would not recommend this.

I like the size and the inclusion of a rear camera. Viewing live video i have not figured out yet or how to permanently save a recording on the memory chip. My previous car had a Garmin Mini with one big button just for that purpose.

I have been using Rexing Dashcams for the last 8 years. I used to have the V1 basic and V1-p. I then upgraded to the V1-4k and now I have upgraded to the V1P Flex X4. I love the slimmed down profile, and the 4k front camera produces movie quality daytime videos that are very Sharp and the night videos are amazingly crisp and very clear. Even with the back camera only being 1080P, the videos are very Clear, in which you won’t have to worry fuzzy, or blurry night videos! I like the fact that I can connect it to my phone via Wi-Fi and review and save videos on my phone without having to take the Micro SD card out. (I would suggest at least a 128mb Mirco SD card) We have Rexing dashcams in all 7 of our vehicles. Dashcams are a must in today’s society with all the bad drivers and Insurance Companies looking for any excuse to get out of paying out claims! Rexing has saved me in the past from an overzealous police officer that claimed I ran a stop sign and issued me a moving violation ticket! I plead not guilty and had a court date for 4 weeks later. After the officer gave his side, it was my turn. I produced my dashcam video showing that I came to a full and complete stop for 3 seconds. I always leave the sound recording on so that any interactions will have an audio as well as video record. When the officer pulled me over and said I ran the stop sign, I told him that I came to a full and complete stop for 3 seconds because I saw him doing traffic enforcement. He insisted that I did not come to a full stop and told me to tell it to the Judge! So, after the Judge reviewed the video, he turned to the officer and had him verify if it was him on the stop, and he said yes it was your honor. After that, the Judge said, “looks like he came to a full and complete stop to me”, and promptly said Not Guilty! The look on the officers’ face was priceless! I walked out the court and gave him a side-eye with a smirk, and thought about giving him the bird but quickly came to my senses and thought I better not! Lol All in all if you want a good quality and reliable dash cam that works flawlessly, Rexing is the Dashcam you want!

After doing some research I made the decision to purchase this rexing Flex V4 camera. Most of the car camera products on the market offer 1080p resolution and aren't exactly cheap either. Flex V4 offers 4k Resolution and both front and rear view cameras at a bargaining deal of $150. I truly think it doesn't get better than this, if you're looking for a solid car camera with a modest budget.

I've purchased several dashcams from Rexing over the years and they constantly are improving. I've never had one fail yet and only would upgrade to get new technology that they put into them.
I've been with Rexing for about 5 years now and I wouldnt go any other way, the customer service is fantastic, and their products havent let me down yet!
This camera feels as though its built solid, it has high quality cameras, and the wiring kit that comes with it makes for a great and easy install.
