We had an older Ring security in our previous home that worked great. This system, with the Eero wifi router, allears to be struggling for us. We have Verizon internet, with Orbi 6000 routers set up, and before installing this new system it worked great throughout our home. Now that we have this installed though, our front doorbell camera doesn’t connect very well and I notice that our wifi signal filters in and out when i am in our backyard. My phone also tries to connect to the eero WiFi when I am outside, so I deactivated the auto connect feature for the eero system. I have called into the ring service department and reconfigured things a couple months ago. It is still not working properly though and I am on the verge of switching to s different system.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Alarm are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concern you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Protect your home with Ring Alarm Pro, the Alarm system that combines reliable home security with a secure internet network. Use Alarm Pro to set up 24/7 Backup Internet for your primary internet service when you are subscribed to a Ring Protect Pro subscription.
You can use your Ring Alarm Pro with your existing network. It does not have to replace your router. There are very specific setup steps that must be followed when initially connecting the Ring Alarm Pro base station to your network. You’ll want to connect your Alarm Pro base station to your existing modem using the included Ethernet cable or any compatible Ethernet cable.
You can create a second wifi network (also know as Double NAT-ing) that will operate independently from your primary wifi network. This allows you to use certain features, including 24/7 Backup Internet, while maintaining your original wifi network and connected devices.
Another option is to put your Alarm Pro’s eero router into Bridge Mode. Doing so will allow your existing router to manage the connection between your wifi network and Internet Service Provider (ISP).
NOTE: When using Bridge Mode, you must connect Alarm Pro to your router via an ethernet cable. Additionally you will lose certain Alarm Pro advanced features, such as 24/7 Backup Internet and Extra Data. You will however retain the ability to use Ring Edge for local video processing.
There’s no need to replace your existing router with Alarm Pro’s built-in eero router.
You can keep using your existing wifi network and the devices connected to it as before. (Note: these devices will not be eligible for the benefits for 24/7 Backup Internet).
You select which wifi devices will have access to Alarm Pro’s advanced features.

When using this configuration, there is potential for wifi interference caused by running multiple networks in close proximity.
For homes over 1,500 square feet, additional eero extenders are required for optimal wifi coverage.
Alarm Pro must be connected to your existing router via ethernet.

Your existing router will continue to provide coverage to your home, so there’s no need to purchase additional eero extenders.
During Alarm Pro setup in the Ring app, you’ll be directed to the eero app to replace your existing router with the Alarm Pro eero router. Follow these steps:
Instead of plugging your Alarm Pro directly into your modem (or modem/router combo device) as the eero app suggests, plug Alarm Pro into an open ethernet port on your router.

Follow the remaining setup instructions in the eero app before returning to the Ring app to complete setup.
If you do not have an open port on your router, you may need to add a multi-port network switch.
When using a separate modem and router, it’s important to connect the ethernet network switch to your router; not directly to your modem. This will allow you to use the same IP address provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Note: Follow the setup instructions provided with your ethernet network switch if you need additional help.

After your network switch is connected to your router, use an ethernet cord to plug the Alarm Pro into an open port before you proceed with setup instructions above.
Use a network name and password for your new eero network that is different from your existing wifi network. If two wifi networks are using the the same network name simultaneously, it will lead to technical complications.
You will also need to subscribe to the Ring Protect Pro Plan and connect the Ring Alarm Pro Base Station to the Eero app by following the steps in the Ring app during the setup process. This method of setup will allow you to use the alarm portion of the device with full functionality while having the Ring Alarm Pro's included Eero Wi-Fi 6 router available as a backup network, should your existing internet go down.

Works Great & Very Affordable

Installation was very straightforward. It works great and the Ring app is much better than the competition. Very happy with this setup.

I did a lot of research and this seemed to match her best. She only has 6 meg DSL so cameras are not a good thing here. I wish the number pad was more of a touch screen console, but it would be more expensive. Also she is not technical so may save me time. I wish it had come with a glass break sensor also, but will look to expand it later

This went into a very large single family home. Setup is super easy, and the functionality is great. This is exactly what we were looking for and I can confidently recommend this.

However, best buy will install this for 99 lol. You're going to need a city alarm permit more than likely but it was a small fee and the application was approved right away. I'm sure best buy will fill it out the permit for you for 99 lol.

The app is confusing a bit at first but i think it was because i was having allot installed at once. But it is easy enough to understand once you explore a bit :)

Some improvements can be made like knowing if system is armed just by looking at the keypad. I know the brain behind the system shows the red or blue (when disarmed). Problem is when the brain piece is not within the eyesight of the keypad.

Took me about 35 minutes to set it all up. It has a monitoring system fee of 100/year which is the best thing you can get. Gives you 2 months of footage recording. It’s the best deal now in the market!!!

It was also easy to set up the motion detector and contact sensors. We ordered additional contact sensors.
