Love it! Already had Ring outdoor cameras for my home and the Ring app. Was using my cable service for home security but as with all things cable, cost became excessive so decided to look into the Ring system. Fast and easy to install, works great with the App. Can turn on/off my system in the App, and monitor all my devices in one setup. Also, integrated my ring smoke/CO2 detectors. Also, got a great deal through BestBuy...Great buy!

Day one: installation day: - The good: Super clear and easy instructions. - The bad: lots of errors, almost at every step (check out the screenshots). This is VERY frustrating. Day 2+: - to come as an updated review.

I recently purchased the Ring Alarm system and I couldn’t be happier with it. The setup process was simple and straightforward, and everything connected quickly through the app. The system is reliable, easy to use, and gives me real peace of mind. Notifications are instant, and the overall quality is excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable home security system.

I love the security system so much. It was way cheaper than Att‘s and I think I would’ve preferred this one anyways. It does exactly what it says it’s going to do follows instructions from what I set up in the app and healthy feel secure and safe at my home. Great product. And what’s nice about this one as well as it’s cheaper than Att first off way cheaper, but also to it monitors as well with like being able to call the police department if need be in a panic button and I’ll kinds of good features check it out!

Ring Alarm / system was easy to install and no glitches. Just follow the step by step instructions on the app during installation. I bought the Ring Alarm along with ( 2 ) Ring door bell's. The Ring app works with the Alarm system & Door bells.... which is great...... one "dashboard" controls both. Definitely a benefit and the app will work with the Ring Stick up cams too. The alarm system can be armed and disarmed remotely on the Ring app via your cell phone or manually on the included keypad. I did buy additional contact sensors and 2 extra motion sensors. The Ring Alarm is a good value ....especially when it is on sale ....and worth the extra level of security it provides.

This is the perfect alarm system for someone who wants to DIY. The UI is pretty user friendly, and the app helps walk you through the set up process. We had a little bit of trouble with one of the sensors, out of the box, but it was just that the plastic battery tab didn't come out all the way. The 7 day "practice" period is great for people who haven't used a home alarm system before, and need to get used to remembering to disarm the alarm before opening doors! The ability to arm via voice command with Alexa is very handy, for when you've already settled into bed and don't want to get back up and walk to the keypad. There is an option to also disarm with your voice, but it requires you to call out your passcode and we aren't really comfortable with that. Definitely suggest getting a second keypad, and the expansion process of adding more components is very easy. Overall, great product and great value. So far, we are very happy with it!

I needed an alarm system for my new place and I was happy with Ring products I’d used in the past. I researched some different products and this was the best deal in my opinion. I’ve had this for almost 30 days now and I am pretty happy with my purchase. I signed up for the Ring Protect Plan free trial and I am impressed. The reason for the 4-stars is because one of my sensors is faulty. Last week around 2:30 am my alarm went off. I turned it off on my phone, but I didn’t realize that in doing so I canceled the monitoring call. The next day around 4:00 pm I received a phone call from Ring. They were calling because the sensor had set my alarm off again. I was not home and hadn’t realized that the alarm was going off. I was impressed with the prompt response by Ring. I’m not sure what caused the sensor to go off...possibly the moisture in the air? It is on my bathroom window after all. Aside from that, the alarm system was very easy to install and set up. The app on my phone is very convenient. I would recommend this product.

Amazing system, easy to install (although the adhesive for components sucks), user friendly app makes this a great security/surveilance System.

Good value for the money. Easy installation. Some improvements can be made like knowing if system is armed just by looking at the keypad. I know the brain behind the system shows the red or blue (when disarmed). Problem is when the brain piece is not within the eyesight of the keypad.

This is our second system, we have the alarm, doorbell pro, three outdoor floodlight cameras and two indoor cameras. This was purchased for our college students apartment. Love the Ring products and the new generation two is even nicer with the smaller size of the sensors. Setup up is very quick and easy. Ring security system has battery backup built in and cellular connection backup if you lose your internet connection. You can add additional devices anytime. System monitoring is a deal at one hundred dollars a year. Awesome products from Ring.

My entire home, yard and now inside our home is under Rings protection and monitoring thanks to the 8-piece Ring security kit. Easy to set up and to avoid a mis-step, Read first the directions for set up. It has an order to follow and if you pull tabs before the device is needed, it will make it a bit confusing to set up plus may cause the loud alarm to sound... Base station is the brain, keypad is the controller, extender helps keep connected those further away sensors and the entire system is controlled either by the unit keypad or by the Ring app. The 24/7 monitoring is included in my plan and can be operated by Alexa. Relatively inexpensive and you can grow the system to fit your needs. I really like that it has its own cellular backup and internal rechargeable batteries in case the power fails you are still protected. Easy to use and set up, basically can run itself via the Ring app and keeps you informed of events that occur in and around your home. With my Ring cams, doorbells and security system all in place, not to mention the 24/7 monitoring, crime may not be stopped but possibly deterred or at least capture the event(s) and will notify the proper authorities if and when events do happen. You have to protect your home and family the best you can, and this is just another layer for us...

i purchased the Ring Alarm Security Kit 5-piece (2nd-gen) and the Ring Retrofit Alarm Kit as a bundle during Best Buy's on-line Black Friday sales event and had it delivered to my home since i would receive it earlier than if delivered to the store. i wanted to replace the large 30+ year old Radio Shack alarm box but keep the wired doors and windows zones since they still worked and according to what i read, the Retrofit Alarm kit is used to interface existing wired doors and windows zones with the Ring Alarm base. because this review is on the Ring Alarm Security kit and not the bundle i separated the part of my review on the Ring Retrofit Alarm Kit and did it on that item review the Ring Alarm Security Kit contained everything in one box with the instructions to install the alarm and each accessory in the kit. - the alarm base station was easy to mount once i knew where i wanted to place it. -> i used a piece of paper to mark the holes from the back of the alarm so i knew where to place the screws on the wall to hang the alarm - the keypad was easy to mount since the holder was able to slide off and i used it to mark where to place the screws on the wall to hang the keypad (near the kitchen door) i downloaded the Ring app from the Apple App Store to my iPhone and iPad -> using the Ring App on my iPad: -> configured the Ring Alarm base to connect to my WIFI -> added the keypad -> did not need to add the Range Extender, Motion Detector and Contact Sensor -> you can customize the Ring Alarm base station chime and volume, the brightness of the 'Ring' and other things through the Ring app all in all, i like the Ring Alarm system, how easy it was to set up, how small the Ring Alarm base and Retrofit Alarm kit are when compared to the old Radio Shack alarm box which i removed from the wall after i transferred the wired doors and windows zones to the Retrofit Alarm kit. i like how you get a notification on your device and an audible chime from the alarm base when any zone is opened or closed - all of these are customizable through the Ring app. i would recommend the Ring Alarm Security kit and if you are looking to replace your old working alarm system with working wired zones, then i would recommend the Ring Alarm Retrofit kit (see my review on the Ring Alarm Retrofit kit)
