Quality is good, easy to install and I can operate it through my Ring app. Touch pad is rechargeable which is awesome. Last a while too.

System installed by Geek Squad, as I belonged to it, but could be done by someone with skill to read and understand manual and take time to do it. System has modular kits you can start with as is or add to items and accessories to fit your home needs. Easy operation from keypad or smart phone and can be monitored by agency to at for you if you don't or can't act at the moment. Great products at great price.

Very easy install. Easy to understand instructions. Alarm could be louder. The adhesive on the contacts will not stick if surface isn’t completely clean. Then the contact is no longer any good. I love the Ring App and the ability to arm/disarm remotely.
We are so happy to have you as a part of our Ring family, and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

This is a very simple setup. I love the settings and ease of app. Ring is a great company and give you confidence in your home security. You can set your alarm from the app just in case you forget to set it before you leave. I have their wireless cameras and doorbell and now I have the whole system with their alarm system. Don’t waste your time with other company’s I’ve tried and no one compares!

I had ring doorbells. I added this to get insurance break. It works well. Set up is easy. I am glad it includes 5 days of practice for alarming. I only wish it had a better way to ensure that my cat will not trigger motion; it has three settings; I just wish the motion detector worked like the doorbell camera with detection areas visible.

In my pursuit of a home security solution that combines reliability with elegance, the Ring Alarm 8-Piece Security Kit has proven to be an exemplary choice. Its thoughtful design and seamless integration into my living space offer both peace of mind and aesthetic harmony.
The kit includes a base station, keypad, four contact sensors, a motion detector, and a range extender, providing comprehensive coverage for my residence. The intuitive setup process and user-friendly Ring app facilitate effortless control and monitoring, aligning with my preference for streamlined technology.
The system’s compatibility with other Ring products and Amazon Alexa enhances its functionality, allowing for a cohesive smart home experience. The optional professional monitoring service adds an extra layer of security, offering reassurance without being intrusive.
While the built-in siren could benefit from increased volume, the overall performance and reliability of the system are commendable. Its unobtrusive presence and dependable operation make it a valuable addition to my home.
In summary, the Ring Alarm 8-Piece Security Kit embodies a balance of sophistication and practicality, delivering effective security with understated elegance.

Super easy to set up! Super easy to use the app, we love the exit delay and delay for a certain door if it is armed so it wont immediately alarm but only for that door. We love being able to use our alexa to arm it for the night its so easy to use!!!

Helps provide a sense of security for your home. I like that it comes in a kit and that there are 3 different levels of plans for it. The price is worth it when compared to other security sets. The items are easy to use and easy to understand while looking at your app. I feel safe each time I leave my house because of this security kit.

If you are looking for a simple to use, simple to set up security set up then the Ring alarm system might be for you. I shopped around for systems, even receiving ADT’s Blue system before sending it back.
I chose the Ring system mostly because it doesn’t require you to have a monthly service.
Buyer Beware: If you do not pay for Ring’s monthly service you lose quite a few desirable options. Read the fine print.
Set up is a breeze! However, let me forewarn you. The wireless camera batteries take FOREVER to charge. Like 5-10 hours. If you buy a camera, buy extra batteries or a solar panel to go with it.
The sticky tape wore out on my motion sensor within the first two months. Luckily nothing broke but you may want to purchase stronger, 3M double sided tape before sticking it to the wall.
I hate writing reviews but hope this helps someone out there trying to decide. If you do buy it don’t blame me if you are unhappy with it.
Cheers!

Simple installation without any complications. I’ve installed Simplisafe for my mother but chose Ring Alarm for my house since I already had a Ring camera. Ring was honestly easier to install and setup. I really like the price for the monitoring $100 for the year and don’t have to pay for the camera separately so that saves $36/ yr making the monitoring a true bargain. Overall a great system for a great price.

This is a nice system for beginners, especially if you're doing it yourself. This system has the basic necessities you need to start off. If you're willing to spend a few dollars more you can buy the doorbell cam and if you other sensors to make the system a whole complete unit. Installation is not hard at all if you follow instructions and it even gives you a time period to judge if you decide you want to make it professionally monitored. All in all a nice beginning.

Just Fine

The system is just fine. It works, it isn't terribly hard to set up the base station. The kit includes a pile of stuff, including a Z-Wave extender (that's ultra not clear in the product description, this is not a general WiFi extender, it is used to extend the network Ring uses to work).
I was able to add my Schlage smart locks fairly easily (except Ring thinks it knows better than you, it erases all the codes in your lock - a really bad thing for it to do). One lock is a Connect - can control everything through the app, locking / un locking and lock status. The other is an older key pad that sends the activate code to the lock and allows manual turning of the lock. Except there is no lock / un lock status in the app.
MyQ garage door opener, works a lot less well with the app. Basically you get a door status and then a link that opens the MyQ app to activate the door.
I bought this to manage my door locks, and it does that job. If you are buying this as a real live security system, you have to subscribe to the professional monitoring - right now $10 per month. Ring works really hard to get you to buy that protect plus subscription (notice is always present at the bottom of the app, and default when you try to subscribe). They manage to make the plans confusing, protect is video recording for the doorbell. Protect Plus is the professional monitoring and video recording.
I absolutely hate the whole Ring neighborhood subsystem. It's frankly worse than NextDoor. I get more stupid announcements about coyotes and fox on the loose - Protect Your Children!!!!! There's no way to get rid of those announcements, or screen them.

Had this ring 2 alarm system for about a month now. The sensors are smaller, same with the key pad and speaker. Works the same as the one we had previously only downside is with this one we didn't get two key pads like the first gen model had. It's nicer than everything is smaller and we were able to sync them up with the gen 1 sensors as well. Connecting to the app works the same as well.

This system is easy to install and use! We had the ring doorbell for sometime so we’re familiar with the app which is pretty straightforward. The alarm was installed in 20 minutes. The sticker on the window/ door monitors are also very sturdy so will not fall or damage paint. It’s also great that you can turn on and off the alarm using either a keypad or your phone.

Easy set up as my husband set up recently. Directions were easy to comprehend or complete as directions these days are missing things, so it didn't take as long as thought. Being white was great since our home is white so it blends in. Feeling more secure and no added cost of monthly bills if you had a company monitor. Highly recommend for these above statements.

just bought it so no long term info good price. Geek Squad installed so it was quick and easy. Like the ease of install and ability to add items as you need them. I have 22 door and window contacts, 2 cameras, 1 doorbell with camera, 2 smoke and CO detectors, 3 extenders.

I bought the Ring Alarm 8 pc security set because I am able to add the system to the Ring App where I have additional cameras installed. Leary about setting up the entire system, but followed the directions in order and was able to set it up by myself. I had one issue, but got it quickly resolved by calling the Ring customer service number. Ring, btw has fantastic customer service! The best part is there was no additional charge to hook up to fire and police. My existing yearly fee covered the cost, as opposed to the high costs of monthly fees of other alarm companies. After set up the system is very simple to use, including the ability to adjust the time needed to exit the house after setting the alarm. You can also set or disarm the system from the Ring app!
