Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So ive had this for about 2 years and just thought of it as another speaker to hear my ring doorbell and a nice night light in the family room. But then i changed my WiFi network and saw the value in this device! I have about 6 ring cameras, including the doorbell and they all need wifi. Well when i setup my new WiFi system, by a stroke of luck i set up this ring chime pro first. Well after that i learned that i could then connect the cameras through this chime pro, less wifi password typing. The real beauty was when i got another new wifi system (that’s another story) and this time i connected the ring chime pro first - and that was all i had to connect - all of the cameras were instantly on the new wifi once the chime pro connected to wifi, a nice benefit!

Could not connect Ring Chime Pro due to poor wifi signal. New modem and router solved the problem. Returned Ring Chime Pro to Best Buy yesterday. They refused to refund since item had been opened. Duh? Never used it, did not need it. Returned within 3 wks of purchase. Will not buy from Best Buy ever again. Left it at the store. Im sure they will sell it again.

This product is ALL HYPE it's good for the chime and night light is ok....BUT, My Ring doorbell camera still goes offline.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to improving the wifi signal to your Ring doorbell. Even with your Chime Pro, your router is still your main source of connection for your Ring device. Ideally, the maximum distance between the router and your device is 20-25 feet with the Chime Pro about halfway between the Ring device and your router. If possible, try moving the router closer to the device. Also, make sure your router is not in a closet or behind furniture, like a sofa, so the router has an unobstructed signal.
