We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concern you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like you experienced some connection issues with the device. Usually, devices video freezeing repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss.
To determine whether the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. Ring devices that show higher resolution video need faster internet. For our 4K models, a minimum upload speed of 15 Mbps is recommended, and video resolution may vary depending on internet bandwidth.
A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

The best video doorbell I've had yet!

You get what you pay as the old saying goes. I've had a couple different brands of battery powered doorbells and was never truly satisfied with either of them. The out of box experience was great, it was easy to install and connect to the old existing doorbell wiring that hadn't been used in years. I really liked that it would connect to my home 5G network as most devices like this will only connect to the 2.4G network. The app found the doorbell easily and was simple to configure. I then enabled the Alexa integration and that worked as expected. There is a USB C connection on the back, I used that to setup and test it before installing it. The doorbell didn't seem to mind where the power came from, it worked great. The video and sound from this small doorbell are amazing! No comparison to my old doorbells. The person detection worked amazingly. The 4K video is amazing, even at nighttime, the video is great. The sound is good, not amazing. As with most Ring products, there is a subscription involved, but it's worth it. Ring is the best doorbell on the market that I've found.
