Solid wireless gaming mouse. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the Mouse Wheel. It just doesn't feel consistent, sometimes it does it's own thing it feels like.
Pros:
Super easy setup
Solid RGB
Mouse buttons are crispy and solid, no rattle or wobble!
DPI button is well placed, can easily be remapped as an extra function button.
Battery life is great, haven't had any issues so far just using it all day (with RBG!).
Cons:
As I mentioned, the wheel might be a little inconsistent.

I bought the kain 200 on may 7th 2020. It has been performing great. I love the fact that its wireless and doesnt weigh too much either. Recently after about 4 months of everyday use the scroll wheel has recently started to act up. It goes in the opposite way that i scroll. The issue doesnt effect me much and i can get over it. Great mouse other than that though.

The mouse feels great to the touch, not cheap and flimsy at all. Has some weight to it which I prefer. Those who like extremely light mice should keep that in mind. Clicks are clean and crisp. Battery lasts as advertised. Software is needed to tell how much battery life is left and to control RGB lighting. One of the best gaming mice I have ever used in my PC gaming career. 100% recommend.

I have large hands with abnormally long fingers (and toes) and the mouse before this one I've used for about 3 or 4 years and because of my large fingers, my thumb, pinkie, and ring finger would always drag on my mousepad I decided to go away with it and get a new mouse.
The only 2 people I could think of with big hands and fingers were Dr. Disrespect and sYnceDez. After using a wired mouse for years I wanted a new experience, I also love the 2 time, and would love to share the same mouse as him, this one was also a lot cheaper than the other one. So with those 3 nails, I sealed the coffin.
Shortly after I bought I was watching the Doc and midstream the mouse stopped working, I saw this as a bad omen and began wondering if I had made a mistake. The mouse arrived the next day and it came dead, so I had to charge it. It has a wire that you can lead up to your desk and plug in the Bluetooth thing into to ensure maximum response time and is also used to plug into the mouse to charge it. Another awesome feature is that when the mouse is charging it works the same as a wired mouse, so you can still use it when it's charging.
Once charged and the (optional) software was installed, I configured to buttons to my liking and set up a fast-clicking macro as I had on my previous mouse, removing the DPI button feature and replacing it with the macro.
The Autoapply feature in the software doesn't work so it took me a while to figure out why it wasn't applying until I turned on manually apply.
Once I got that set up I noticed the first and only problem when scrolling to the Doc's stream and that's that when scrolling down, seemingly randomly the mouse scroll scrolls up for one tick. I looked it up and apparently, a few other people had this problem, but I am much too lazy to go through the effort of sending it back and getting a replacement so I decided to live with the annoying bug. Something else I encountered was that the click stops working and that you have to turn the mouse off and on again to get it to work again, but later I figured out that it was the macro that made the mouse click stops working, the first time it happened I started freaking out since the Docs mouse had also stopped working but after some fiddling, I discovered resetting fixed it. I forgot to say earlier but the mouse fits my hand wonderfully and my fingers no longer drag on the mousepad.
All in all, this mouse would get a 5 star because it fits in my hand well, has everything I was looking for, and is used by the DrDisrespect but I have to give it a 3 star because the mouse scrolls the opposite way you want it can be extremely annoying at times, especially for a regularly $100 mouse.

Brand response from ROCCAT Support

Hi MChambers, We are glad you enjoy the mouse. However, the wheel not scrolling in the right direction is an issue that should not be encountered. While we understand that you do not want to go through the process of exchanging the mouse, we'd still love to offer you support, including a potential RMA. If you have not yet tried, please see if resetting the mouse using the recovery tool found in the programs install directory can solve the problem. If it can not, you are always welcome to contact our customer support using the form on our official website.

I have big hands and am sort of in between using my palm and fingers. I don't use the claw technique and I don't use full palm, somewhere in between. For me this mouse is perfect for that. As well for a wireless capable gaming mouse it's very affordable. If you like RGB it has that which is an added plus. Overall I am thoroughly enjoying this mouse.

The mouse was great until I realised out the box the scroll wheel was bunked. It would register some down scrolling but would etch back and forth between upscrolls and downs. It made games challenging to play due to the fact I had to not use my wheel entirely. Otherwise I'd misclick or it spazzes out my inputs. Be mindful that the majority of customers that have used this mouse have had the same malfunctioning scroll wheel. The PC app for Roccat integration is amazing! I just wish my wheel worked!

I will compare this to a Logitech G Pro wireless, it has a similar design and the input lag is very minimal, I cannot notice a difference between this one and G Pro, but I do say this has a little more weight to it the the G pro wireless mouse.

Mouse works as advertised.
Coming from basilisks and death adders that I damaged by aggressively pressing mouse 1/2. The button contact surfaces would no longer work without needing to click hard.
Mouse clicks are nice and noticeable.
I have big heavy strong hands and I tend to mash my left click in the heat of battles.
This mouse has been holding up great!
Would recommend to anyone who has experienced issues from clicking to hard throughout the life of their mice.
Battery life is also superb. I always tend to just plug it after my marathon. If I forget to, I can get by for three days or so.

Can it replace my wired gaming mouse?

Typically, I reserve my gaming to high-response and accurate wired mice, especially when playing competitive first-person shooters (FPS) such as CS:GO. I need to make sure that the pointer is right where I want it when I want it and cannot afford hiccups or lag. I have had bad experiences before with wireless mice, so I reserve them for productivity purposes only.
Keeping that in mind, let’s look at the ROCCAT Kain 200 AIMO Wireless mouse. It is a very light mouse indeed coming in at 105g or 3.7oz. This is a bit strange to me because my mice, especially the wireless ones, are usually 3 times heavier. This is because I want my mouse to stay where I leave it when typing and moving the table. It also gives me a sense of security in my hands. The weightless feeling is emphasized even more because there is no cable to cause drag, which can be fixed by attaching the micro-USB cable instead, but that would defeat the purpose. Another concern for me would be to know how resistant it would be if I dropped it from the table into the hard floor (gasp!).
As far as shape and design, The KAIN 200 is on the small side and the body sleek and smooth. However, I felt fairly comfortable and ergonomic in my hand. My palm and fingers rested fully on top. The body does feel a bit slippery and this caused the mouse to drop a couple of times when I picked it up repeatedly, especially since I do not usually engage my thumb while grabbing mice. I tend to use a full extended grip, as opposed to a claw grip. The clicking felt satisfying and responsive regardless of the finger position. The mouse felt great when it came to gliding across and friction. It really did feel like I was just “waving” my hand around the mouse pad. The RGB is also very bright on this one. I had to tone it down with the ROCCAT Swarm App and made it match my RGB system preferences very nicely.
Let’s talk about performance. I am very pleased to say that this mouse performed excellently. From the flexible DPI, to the response time, to the unbroken wireless connection, it never did cause any issues whatsoever. Once I got used to it (and it did take some time), it felt very intuitive to just flick my wrist and have the pointer right where I needed it. I fired up CS:GO, adjusted the DPI, and did rather better than expected. Then, I played some MOBAs and MMOs, clicked furiously all over the place without any missing clicks and gliding across the maps was a breeze. It performed well on the productivity side also. Selecting, double-clicking, dragging/dropping, etc. worked as expected. The battery lasted all weekend long and I still have about 50% charge left, which by the way, is rechargeable via the included USB micro cable (it doubles up as a transmitter/extender). I was certainly not disappointed.
In the end, I was pleasantly surprised with the ROCCAT Kain 200 AIMO. After spending the whole weekend using this mouse, I tried going back to my favorite wired one and it felt rather heavy and clunky. Plus, I could not stop being so weirdly aware of the cord being dragged around. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are used to light mice and are looking for a high-end wireless alternative.

I purchased this as a replacement to a Corsair wireless rechargable mouse that was becoming worn out. Like most, there is software and updates to download, but was quick and easy. Without the software, the mouse connected and worked straight from the box.
My main use is for work, utilizing drafting and 3D design software, so pretty click intensive with a need for accuracy. So far so good, and the battery lasts a full week of 8 to 10 hour days without needing a recharge.
It is a little large for my hand, but it's not uncomfortable, and I attribute that to the rechargable battery.

returned my razer viper ultimate and opted for this mouse instead and overall i'm impressed so far. this mouse has the best side buttons period! nice and bulky is key for side buttons and roccat hit it right on the nail. the clicks are nice and smooth and i actually like how smooth the mouse is in general. knocked off a star due to the swarm software....it really needs some work but other than that it's so much better than the viper and for the price of it right now it's a steal.

Overall this mouse feels premium. The setup was fairly easy but the software Roccat uses is kinda clunky. Battery Life was extremely long, almost felt longer than the advertised 50hrs. Tracking was excellent, never skipped a beat. Buttons were another 10/10. Only problem (and this really is personal preference) is that it was too heavy for my liking. Other than that, I have no complaints about this mouse and for the price of $69.99, it really is a steal.

I couldn’t believe how much I liked this mouse. I’ve been stuck on my steelseries 650 and thought I was crazy to go for a cheaper mouse. Boy was I wrong. This mouse is amazing, perfect size. The two buttons on the side could be a little better. Can’t keep up when spam clicked. But very comfortable and placed greatly I wouldn’t change a button on it, only the reactive timing. Best mouse that doesn’t cost you a arm and a leg!
