I purchased the Roku Streaming Stick after cancelling my cable TV subscription to provide "smartness" to my older Insignia "dumb" TV. The stick is very easy to install; it has HDMI and USB connectors. The USB connector supplies power to the stick so it needs to be plugged into a powered USB port. If your USB port isn't powered or doesn't supply enough power you will have problems with updating the stick's software and you'll need to plug your USB connector into a wall outlet connector (as I had to do). During setup you'll create an account with Roku. Unless you purchase subscriptions to streaming services thru Roku, there is no charge from Roku to use the stick. I was able to add apps to the streaming services I was formerly watching via cable TV; no issues. Picture quality is fine; navigating using the remote control is easy and intuitive. This is one of the most inexpensive investments you can make to make your TV smarter!

This product was amazing! I actually have the Roku TV and for some reason it will no longer connect to the internet. Here I am thinking I'm going to be buying my mom a brand new TV when in fact all I needed was to buy this cost saving device. Thank you Best Buy employee! Plug into your TV, follow the prompts, and just like that my mom got her TV back with the apps she loves. Very easy to use, I recommend turning your TV power off when not in use and using a surge protector. I noticed it runs hot but when not in use, she just shuts the TV off and then the surge as well, problem solved. She has been using this for a few weeks now and everything is doing good.

This is perfect for anyone to use, easy to install, lots of interest for our grandkids, perfect performance, a great price super easy to use and the remote is just perfect and the size doesn't bog us down with too much hardware, We plan to buy one for our son to use with his family

Phenomenal little device - In my house I use all AppleTV's but I didnt want the bulk or the cost for something that I use in my RV - it runs off the USB on the TV, the remote can still turn on my LG TVs in there with out HDMI-CEC which is great, and then the TV powers on which powers on the Roku. While it isnt nearly as polished as an Apple TV, I can still do about everything that I did on them, even watch Apple TV :) Primarily I use this for Plex/Jellyfin to watch shows and movies on the NAS that I run in my RV as we can't always count on internet for streaming, and I don't want to take up all of the space for a blu-ray player and media.

Great streaming device! Many apps to choose from and turns any tv or projector into a Roku TV. Easy setup and remote can be setup to control the tv functions.

Saved me $200. This device was an easy fix for converting a standard flat screen into a smart device. It loads fast and works well with the wifi and cable provider I have.

Easy to use. Wish it had a back light to view the buttons. Fairly easy for set up. Wouldnt let you control your soubd system thruogh the volume controls, inly allowed Tv volume

So easy to use right out of the box! So compact and out of sight! I was looking for a way to mirror what I have to multiple TVs with different programs, this was the easiest and best way of doing so!

I have the Roku boxes so I decided to try the stick so much easier no wires and works great no issues to report. My boxes are old so when they need replacing I will go to the sticks.
