Upgraded the stream stick for better connection. Weve been roku customers since ditching cable and satellite in 2008.

I really like the Roku device. Very easy to use and understand. I have one for the living room and one for the bedroom. The controller is pretty self explanatory too.
Great deal @ $79. Fast! Backlit remote is awesome!

This 2024 version is really a deal @ $79. The backlit remote (also rechargeable) is absolutely perfect. I actually replaved my Apple TV with one of these when the remote suddenly went bad on the Apple. Thankfully I had AppleCare for two years thanks to Total membership and BestBuy N Canton took care of me, which lead to me getting this nee Roku Ultra 2024 edition. Ill include a photo of the remote all lit up so you can see. Its a lifesaver…

The Glimmer of Excellence:
In the ever-crowded field of streaming devices, the Roku Ultra stands out not with a shout, but with a confident, cinematic hum. It's the kind of device that makes you wonder why you ever settled for anything less. The latest Roku Ultra, available at your local Best Buy in Brighton, MI, isn't just a streaming player; it's a home theater upgrade, a masterclass in user-friendly design, and a testament to the power of a truly premium experience.
A Visual and Auditory Feast:
The first thing you'll notice is the breathtaking picture and sound. With support for stunning 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision, the Roku Ultra breathes new life into your favorite movies and shows. Colors pop with an almost lifelike vibrancy, and dark scenes reveal details you never knew were there. But it's not just about the picture; the addition of Dolby Atmos support elevates the audio to a new level. You'll hear every whisper and feel every explosion with an immersive, three-dimensional soundscape that fills the room. It’s a sensory experience that rivals a night at the movies, and you don’t even have to leave your couch.
The Remote, Redefined:
The included Voice Remote Pro is the crown jewel of this package. It's a marvel of thoughtful design. The backlit buttons are a godsend for late-night viewing, illuminating just enough to guide your fingers without being a distraction. The rechargeable battery is a welcome change from the endless hunt for AA batteries, and the built-in lost remote finder is a feature you won’t appreciate until you desperately need it. "Hey Roku, where's my remote?" is a phrase you'll utter with a sigh of relief, followed by a triumphant grin as the remote chirps back at you from under the sofa cushions. The voice control is fast and accurate, letting you search for content across all your apps with ease.
Performance that Doesn't Quit:
Speed is the name of the game, and the Roku Ultra wins hands down. With its powerful processor and robust Wi-Fi 6 support, this device is lightning-fast. Apps launch in a flash, and navigating the menu is seamless. Buffering is a distant memory. Whether you're streaming in the same room as your router or in a corner of your home with a weaker signal, the Roku Ultra handles it all with grace and without interruption. The added Ethernet port provides a wired connection for those who demand the absolute best in reliability and speed.
The Verdict:
While some may point to minor software glitches or a price tag that's higher than other Roku models, the Roku Ultra is worth every penny for the discerning viewer. It’s an investment in a superior streaming experience that will elevate your home entertainment for years to come. From its award-winning performance to its intuitive and feature-rich remote, the Roku Ultra is, without a doubt, the best streaming device on the market. If you're looking to cut the cord or simply upgrade your current setup, head over to Best Buy in Brighton, and prepare to be blown away.

Much to my wife's chagrin, I have a box filled with streaming devices. Apple, Chromecast with Google TV, and all the rest. Each of them have their positives, but each of them, for me, has a fatal flaw, such as the Apple TV remote won't turn my TV off when I turn the Apple TV off (or on, can't remember) requiring me to have two remotes handy.
The Roku Ultra just works. The settings are easy to use, the remote is backlit which is great, it is updated regularly, and it works. We have on on each of our three TVs. The only downside is the home screen will have ads/promotions for, say, a movie even if you turn off the ads in settings. But we ignore those, and they don't get in the way at all for selecting your streaming "channels" (e.g. Youtube TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc.) A huge selection of apps, and it all just works including the remote easily and transparently controlling my TV on/off and volume. Tried them all and always come back to the Roku Ultra.

The Roku Ultra has all the features you may want in a streaming device. The installation/configuration is very easy and simplified. If you already have set up the Roku app for another Roku device it is even easier. Speed of loading new content and viewing it, clarity of picture and sound are all exceptional. The remote is backlit and the voice activation works very well. This is my second purchase of a Roku device as I wanted a 4k/Atmos capable device. This has proven to be a great value.

Roku gives easy access to apps, movies, live tv, etc
Easy to navigate. The Roku Ultra is fast and has a great picture. Roku Ultra comes with the backlit voice remote. The only drawback that I’ve found is that you can’t change the channel by selecting the number. You have to just scroll through them which goes quickly

I bought this Roku device to use on a TV that doesn't get used much but I wanted to still be able to stream my xfinity channels. It was easy to hook up and get set up to watch on. I like that the size is small so it did not take up a lot of space. The remote is easy to use also.

If you are a fan of ROKU, then you will be a fan of this one. I upgraded from a previous Ultra version and this one is extra snappy and fast. The book time is under 10 seconds and the menu is a fast as it has ever been. The remote is slenderer than before, is back lite when moved, has a built-in battery and a privacy button. It does not have an audio jack which was a disappointment. The battery life is not as long as the traditional AA battery remote. Any movement of the remote and the lights come on. I did have the remote run out of charge without any warning. When you turn on the ROKU it displays the battery bar, but I never saw a warning that it was about to run out. The only other issue I have experienced is with the Hisense TV. If I leave the TV on the ROMU channel and turn off the TV, it will randomly turn on but have a black screen. It didn't do this with the older ROKU Ultra, just the new one. If I change the channel on the TV to something else before turning off, it works just fine. RECAP - best ROKU device! Very Snappy and fast! New remote is great! Cons: Battery life of remote and no low battery warning. No audio jack on remote and turning on my Hisense TV randomly.
